      Thanks Marc, like the dummy I am I mounted it hanging from the engine mount hole. Everybody else was thinking and slipped it around their cable low on front down tube. I'll be putting mine there shortly.

    How tight should your bolts be on the jack shaft on the right side

    Hay beau the 2022 phatmo is out from gasbike the pedal side has 7 speed gear

      Very cool, I hope it makes pedaling these things easier. Trying to pedal the single speed with drive chain hooked up is really hard. Also with the new model coming out they are selling the 2021 models for $300 off.

    Can't wait to see it on and working 😁😁

      Yeah, I'm hoping it works out well and is a viable upgrade to the JS system that is better than what Phatmoto offers.

    One caveat, if you buy the new Phatmoto spline jack shaft kit and you own a 2019 model with a 415/41 clutch and 415/41 JS sprocket, well you 'll be spending more money because you have to switch to a #35 clutch and chain.....

    I know this is one of you older vids. But how did you remove your jack shaft? Mine wont budge

      Yes, the shaft can be very tight, try a small block of wood on the shaft for protection and then a hefty hammer. It requires some force to get it going. If you have tried that with no results, try using some heat from a propane torch to slowly heat up shaft, once heated the shaft should come loose. Once shaft is out and bearings are still in, use a drift punch from the opposite side to tap it out, going around the outside of the bearing. If you are planning on reusing the shaft, bearings, care must be taken. If you are replacing them, then more force can be used , but be careful not to damge the aluminum JS housing etc. Good luck.

      @@beaubrummelmotorizedbicycles Ty i plan to replace. I believe the barings are shot. Ive went thruough 2 inner sprockets now. Sttriped the teeth off them. Believe bad bearings are causing stress on it

      Possible, I would suspect your chain, still running the stock chain or have you replaced it with a quality one.

      @@beaubrummelmotorizedbicycles Im replacing that as well with the gold racing chain. But Yes still stock and 2 years old.

      2 years on the super inferior chain will destroy sprockets. Get some quality race chain, hardened and heat treated, pre stretched and made from high quality steel. Believe it or not but the stock chain is basically stretched and elongated to the point that it is unusable in as little as 100 miles or less. A experience.main reason of sprocket failure is wore out chain and mis alignment and lack of lubrication. Eliminate those issues with new quality sprockets and new quality chain and belive it you'll have a better riding @@patriotmedia2388

    Lol, I wish you showed the actual removal of jackshaft..

    • @beaubrummelmotorizedbicycles
      @beaubrummelmotorizedbicycles  2 роки тому

      Sorry, it is really simple especially if you are not trying to reuse the shaft or bearings. You pretty much smack it with a decent hammer and pop it out, then come from the inside and trap out the bearings. If you are reusing the shaft or bearings that requires a little more finess.

      @@beaubrummelmotorizedbicycles thanks for the explanation, mine however was not that easy. Loosened and took off collar thing all the Allen’s heads that held gears on shaft etc, etc. smacked the shaft hard it would move but from hitting it so hard the shaft mushroomed out. Couldn’t get it to pass through bearings, ended up having to grind mushroomed ends down to pound it through it was a bitch But finally came through..
