I am very pleased you made this video as just by chance I uploaded a video on Red Earth on the exact same day - causing people who watched this video to search Red Earth then watch my video. So thank you for that haha!
"He's like the '90s version of Brock Lesnar"
So he's like Goldberg then? :D
Goldberg actually had charisma
Or Peter Molyneux...
Why r u in everyone's comments
Hello u
Brock Lesnar was an amateur wrestler. Goldberg wasn't. They're styles are different. Overall, they're not really that similar.
"monster maulers is another one where say it with me:" "you got to play it anyway you can"
I did say it with you.
It was fun.
LOL
Me too, and then I thought "I love that he's self-aware enough to realize when he says something frequently"
Self awareness... fukin humanz
Is that the SNES drunk slogan now?
Man, this is definitely a game I never heard of, and looks pretty awesome to boot. Thanks for the review!
Yeah this looks like an awesome game despite the fact I never heard of this it will be cool if this got a remake as well
It was a fun game! There is also another similar arcade game, called Metamoqester, fans of the "boss rush fighting game" genre should check it out too!
I agree! Metamoqester is a pretty awesome, and beautiful, game! Freakin' BRUTALLY HARD though...
Dang, beat me to it.
@@jessragan6714 I dont know how I havent played this cus I've played Metamoqester and Red Earth. Gonna check this game out tonight!
Metamoqester is really cool, too, but the final boss battle feels a little... awkward.
@@keithsimpson2150 I think you are right
Total length of video: 260 secs.
Total length of "SNES Drunk": 3 secs.
1.15% of the video was spent listening to "SNES Drunk".
Needs more sneeees drunk
I've never said it. but the "SNES Drunk" is my favorite part of these videos
And 100% of the video GETTING drunk.

Babality.
Friendship.
Man i wish companies would HD release these on modern systems like Capcom did with there Beat em ups and D&D Chronicles of Mystaria collections. These need to be accessible to more people to experience. Another awesome video Drunk.
Konami Is run by assholes that only care for pachinkos, that's why
You know, I've been waiting for a tower of doom and shadows over mystara forever.... I'm going to build my own arcade machine this year and use an emulator...... D&D on the switch!!!!!!
@dyin hope, nah, just for fun....
Shadows over mystara was available on ps3 and Wii U but konami removed them along with the Simpsons and x-men arcade games. Probably because of licensing issues.
As always a great rewarding and interesting review from SnesDrunk. Great game, great narrative, great script, great opinion, great video. Keep on!
SNESDrunk, you are my favorite UA-camr. Thank you for all your work. I look forward to your videos every Tuesday and Thursday!
Best snes youtuber there is been watching for about a year now keep doing what your doing man
I love your Arcade reviews.
It's awesome to see these Arcade games in action.
Not to mention, discovering games I never saw in my local Arcade.
It's crazy that Top Hat Gaming Man released an in-depth retrospective on Red Earth today! These are the 2 channels I make sure to catch their new vids on each Thursday!
This is one of my favorite arcade rarities. So glad I have a board for this. Even Konami ignores it's existence.
to be fair, I'm not surprised they do. Konami isn't a company typically associated with fighting games, and for good reason. they have a rather spotty hit or miss record with the genre. for a Monster Maulers, there's a Martial Masters. for a hidden gem like the SNES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighters game, there's also the average NES game and the bad SGMD, not ports, but separate games of declining quality by comparison. also, they'd make a pachinko game from Castlevania, but not this?
I don’t know why I love watching videos about arcade games I’ve never heard of and will probably never play, but I do. These arcade reviews are going to convince me to finally get a SNES Drunk shirt.
I LOOOOOVE this kinda series of forgotten games you've been doing! It's been infinitely interesting! Keep up the excellent work and amazing content! :-)
Another kind of topic that's similar and would be unique and insanely interesting would be LOST GAMES... You've highlighted that emulation is the only way most of these arcade games still exist, and I think it'd be an interesting topic to talk about... Games that are COMPLETELY LOST and being searched for. Also, forbidden games/banned games is an interesting topic... But unlike lost games, this topic has been covered quite a bit...
I've been watching your content for YEARS now, and I think you're more than qualified to take on such a fascinating and wholely interesting topic! Keep it up buddy! :-)
One would be Banned Memories, the horror game homage to Silent Hill 1. I don't know the story of why it was never finished, I would guess Konami sent a water ghost after the creator.
@@Turtleproof interesting! I'll have to look into it!
What a great concept for a game. I also like that the dragon blocks with its ears.
The best retro gaming channel in the history of the internet
LOVE these arcade reviews!!!
Red Earth is great. Never heard of this one.
Wow look at that, a unique concept in a 90s fighting game. I'm truly amazed.
It's like monster hunter coop 2 players + street fighter haha
when I first looked at this, I immediately thought of Red Earth
I'm glad you gave that a shout out
I loved Red Earth, so now I have to give this a try as well
Guys, don't spoil the ending to these videos!
I wanna see if he tells me to have a great rest of my day.
90's arcade graphics looked amazing back then and still hold up today 👌
Brainy is definitely a recycled end boss for the GBA release Castlevania: Harmony Of Dissonance. [Dracula parts final form]
Yup. It's originally from Salamander/Life Force:
ua-cam.com/video/ig8MJnt4G0c/v-deo.html
You get to suplex the Brain from Life Force? That's fuckin amazing. 90's Konami did some of the coolest shit with their properties. Also, the music is redone boss fight music from Life Force. It was tough to hear in the video.
this is exactly the direction I'm looking for: awesome good looking 2D 90's arcade games!!!

I love how you call it "this thing, whatever it is"...to the monster literally called "brainy" haha =D
he also couldn't figure out that they were fighting inside of an even larger brain
You gotta play it any way you can!
Wow, this one was really ahead of its time with the co-op boss gauntlet, thanks Drunk!
Great review, great energy and enthusiasm!
Thank you for the recommendation! This game was amazing! I had no idea something this awesome existed!
Never seen this one and lived in arcades back in the day. Good stuff
Love your channel man, thank you for making these
More! Loving the arcade reviews. Thanks for the uploads.
I knew about Red Earth/Warzard more than a decade ago, but unfortunately never heard about this game until now. Looks really awesome, I'll definitely try!
I really like that you're bringing some of these forgotten games to light. I love your SNES reviews, but with your style, I like that you've branched out to other retro titles. Keep it up! 👍 OH! Can you also do Knuckle Heads by Namco? If not, that's cool, lol.
Konami: Monster Maulers
Capcom: Red Earth
I'm sorry bro... Did I just see freaking Blanka with horns, Johnny Bravo with a Hamburgler visor on pulling Zangeif suplexes, and a build palate of Chun Li dude doing Bison Psycho Crushes!?? 😮😂
Awesome!!
And that brings back memories... after I got done with my bowl of Cap'n Crunch, I ALWAYS went out and pile drove missiles in the ground before school.
Great video! I agree, Monster Maulers is really fun to play.
That do look fun and the music is sick nice choice of Arcade game pick👍
As a Godzilla fan I really miss when his sound effects were plugged into everything lol.
For two players combination move
You two must be close to each other, and when facing the enemy
Kotetsu + any (Double Soutenhou) : both must perform qcf + attack / qcb + attack
Anne + any (Double Sparking) : both must mash attack buttons repeatedly
Eagle + any (Double Hurricane) : both must hold left for 2 secs, then right + attack / hold right for 2 secs, then left + attack
God damn this a beautiful game! Thanks for making this, otherwise I would have never known about it.
Cool review dude! i have this one on my pc. I will play it. Looks funny. Thanks for sharing
Cool stuff, I never heard about this game before.
I always dreamed about a co-op fighting game back in the day so I can't belive I have missed this one out
i play a lot of arcade games but i never heard of this one. thanks SNES DRUNK
Glad to see more arcade reviews :)
You release this today, top hat gaming man releases one on red earth today... almost like an insidious plan to convince me to play 2 similarly awesome games
since we're doing arcade games, I've really got my fingers crossed for a Toki review
I had no idea they made co-op fighting games. Cool!
Love these arcade reviews!
You should try JJ squawkers it'd a short sweet but very trippy run and gun. I mean it's really triiippppy to keep up the obscure arcade games ! It's like the developers smoked a lot of dmt and made an arcade game. First level starts out normal then it gets weeeeird. It's not a great run and gun but the psychedelic nature of it makes it a worthwhile experience.
Love your obscure arcade games recommendations
Bought this pcb about 6 years ago and was really pleased to add it to my collection however unfortunately it was faulty so had to return it. Not one that comes up too often so still waiting on a working pcb to this day 🤞
The Gills Have Eyes (TM)
The Gills are Eyes
I've never even heard of this one. Looks amazing. Suplexing the brain boss and moai heads from Gradius? Yes, please.
You should do a video on arcade games with unique mechanics and gimmicks that haven't really made their way to games today.
Posts about hidden gems like that should allow a second like. Great find!
I love the art style
The airbrush-like art style of the sprites reminds me a lot of Susumu Matsushita's work. I wonder if he was involved with this at all.
Wow. Gradius characters in a fighting game? Very cool 😎
0:40 LOL! It's another version of the Dorombo Trio!
never heard about this game b4, thanks it looks fun
Those graphics are sooo smoooooth, I dig it. Might need to figure out how to get MAME rubbing lol
This actually looks really fun. Especially with 2 people.
Looks awesome. Thanks!
Those villains look familiar, like something from Yatterman or Flint: The Time Detective. It's a popular archetype in Japan, apparently.
Didn't expect a Flint The Time Detective reference today
Nothing like a little SNES drunk to brighten up my day.
This looks flippin' insane!
This needs to be released on switch along with that odd smash style game you showed in. One of the last arcadedrunk
I'm not very big into a lot of fighting games anymore but this does look fun
Never heard of this game, but it looks like a rad co-op experience! I haven't heard of Red Earth either.
Monster Maulers is great, but Red Earth is where it's really at. I hope you can cover that one someday as well!
1:25 How the hell does Blanka keep sneaking into all of these arcade games?
Robo-Ape reminds me of Cyber Woo from King of the Monsters.
We love you you sonuvagun.
This game looks sooo so cool bro. And your videos are always entertaining and well made
I've never even heard of this one, looks fantastic tho
I played that game. It was so much fun
Did someone say enthusiasm?! Cool looking game, never seen anything like it!
Holy shit the artwork in both games looks AMAZING, remember when Konami and Capcom cared?
Yeah. Capcom at least still kind of cares about making games now compared to a few years ago. Konami......doesn't even seem to care about making console/handheld games anymore. At least they still make arcade games which is something, though mainly for Japan?
Pepperidge Farm does
@@Dj.D25 Only Pachinkos and call of duty esque things.
Yosoy Susej I still like their Bemani games, though they aren’t as popular as they used to be it seems.
@MultiTarded Capcom is gonna revive Dark Stalkers and Dino Crisis, they are coming back to their older franchises again, look at Megaman.
Warzard/Red Earth never received a port either.
A game that never left Japan neither was ported is Fighting Layers, made by Arika, the same guys that did Street Fighter EX. That games shares two characters with SFEX but the rest of the roster is new, and it has really bizarre characters and some bizarre fights, like fighting a shark, the las boss is a vampire so go figure.
Also has branching paths depending how do you do in early fights and you get different sub bosses depending on the path. That is truly a game to play however you can.
There is a somewhat recent game called Fighting EX Layer made by Arika too, but that game it's pretty much an assemble of the original characters from SFEX 1&2 (i.e. no Capcom characters, only Arika's) but it is pretty bland and has none of the craziness of the original Fighting Layer.
Nice, do more arcade games review please
Hey remember when a guy suplex a train
Whilst running from it, no less!
Battletoads arcade review please! Or even Ninja-Baseball-Bat-Man
i'm pretty sure i remember him talking about ninja baseball bat man already
@@SegaGenesisEvangelion I mean a full review as a stand alone video
@@joeyparkhill8751 word, that would be cool
This games looks fun as hell
I really hope that someday Konami alongside with Hamster make a rerelease of this game as a part of the Arcade Archives Series for the Switch and rest of consoles, like they did with some other titles.
*You gotta play it any way you can*
i love these Arcade reviews! perfect timing to for my modded Arcade1up with Pi and MAME. Keepem comin!
Well I got to play this game! Anytime you have a character who could say I just suplex dragon's head on my way to work when's and A+ in my book
It would be nice if Konami released a collection of all of his games that never came out of the arcades, such as this one, Metamorphic Force, G.I. Joe: The Arcade Game, Aliens and Violent Storm. Just to name a few.
Looks badass.
Monster Maulers looks monster baller
This definitely need to be ported on the Switch!!
Game looks amazing, thanks for being awesome drunk.
The Japanese version, Kyukyoku Sentai Dadandarn, has a sentai style theme song with lyrics that plays during the fights. That makes it the better version for my money... er, "money." It feels way hokier in a fun way.
Good upload
LOOKS COOL. NICE 😎🖒
Ok. I gotta get this on my snes mini!
Very cool!
I don't know if someone said it before, but I'm guessing the ending depends on the order you fight the bosses. Just my guess.
Nice. Thanks
Playing this any way i can he he
Awesome game and the music is amazing
