Awesome adventure. Some of the best trips I’ve ever made is when I just loaded up the truck and took off without a plan and some deer steaks to cook over a wood fire. Good times
You made it to OBX in the nick of time! The past few days we've had king tides along with a strong nor'easter. The result,, huge beach erosion, overwash breaches of the dunes,, flooded coastal roads,, mud for water,, floating debris,, and high winds!
Congratulations on 100k. Ive followed you a while and am glad you finally made it up here. I know you love the Gulf coast, but the OBX is something special. I grew up fishing w my dad at Cape Point ('im now 45) and cooking on the beach is how we do it. Great Channel and content.

When the weather on the OBX is good it's an awesome place to be. When the weather turns and becomes angry it's still an awesome place to be.
Weeding thru the baby pomps and black drum was work. The chopper blues also make a visit in April. Combat fishing at the Point at it's best

Just got back from OBX. I picked a difficult weekend , noreaster with 30-40 mph winds. Current so strong 6 oz pyramid couldn't hold. Hard fishing.
Similar for us about a month ago. Rough times. Even sputniks wouldn’t hold and all the beaches were washed out. The weather out there is wild.
@@ericakinley We had planned to leave Sunday morning but left a day early. Turns out that was a good call. Hwy 12 washed out up in Rodanthe, we would have been stuck on Hatteras.
@@KentsClassicreplays for sure. I’ve seen some video and pics from there and it’s pretty bad. They can’t get that bridge finished fast enough. Glad you guys made it out.

Hiya Beach Bum. Got a suggestion for you,next time you go to Cape Hatteras. You can travel all along the coast using their ferry service. A nice spot to go is Ockracoke Island,it's real nice there. But you can also take the Cedar Island ferry and go further south. Now what you want to see is Beaufort (pronounced Bo fort),and a little past that is Morehead City. If Carolina Princess is still there,that was one heckuva head boat,they go offshore bottom fishing,if you feel like checking that out. Lot of sights to see around Morehead. Tryon Palace comes to mind,hope the spelling is right,been awhile. Well anyway, glad you had a great time there,I always liked it down there. Oh yeah,Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beach is nice too.😁

Congrats on the 100K. Wondering what areas you are fishing in OBX. We normally go down once a year and stay in the Kill Devil Hill area where we work those beaches. But in a few days you ram yo have had more action.

Great video. Texas also allows driving up to the beach and fishing or just enjoying the beach. I was not aware that Florida doesn't allow that till I visited.

Love the videos bro! Only thing I gotta say is when cooking fish with the skin on always start it off skin side down first. Gets the skin nice and crispy! Had to critique ya little bit since I cook for a living! Keep it up bruh!
That's right!. If you leave the skin on, you want to make sure it's very crispy!
Matt we vacation on the OBX every year. The fishing is great once you figure it out. If you are ever there again check out kayaking the Oregon Inlet or the sound south of Avon. Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras are all great. Ramp 55 near the inlet also produces great catches. Tight lines.
