A few weeks ago I caught big whiting like that at Dauphin Island West End Beach until right in front of me a dolphin starting chasing fish. I moved down the beach and started catching smaller whiting.
You definitely know what your doing and more than likely have forgotten more than I'll ever know about fishing. "BUT" I was disappointed with that break off. I could understand if the fish was running straight out but it seemed to be running sideways and you could have gained line by running down the beach. You still had plenty of line on your reel to try to tire that thing out. Maybe it was the camera angle.
just out of curiosity why would you use a light tackle set up even if your target species isn’t a bigger fish why would you risk losing that fish by using the light tackle set up?
Yeah as someone who spent months using that app religiously….. it’s not accurate whatsoever in my area of SC. Y’all can catch fish any day of the week where bama beach bum is, don’t get your hopes up people. The app isn’t hood
