Although that is true, the manufacturer sets the flash rate at a specific speed so we provide the user the ability to obtain the OEM speed or even speed it up / slow it down to their liking. (Our LED Flasher Relay is completely adjustable in terms of flash rate speed)

Why does it look like the center of the light isn't illuminated? Is this how it's designed or is caused by the recording and it actually is illuminated in person?
The running light of this unit illuminates the perimeter of the light only. We drive the red LEDs at 85% current capacity for the running light function. When you activate the brake, the perimeter LEDs switch to 100% current capacity and we also turn on additional LEDs in the center of the lens. I have been told that only having the integrated turn signals in the tail light might get me pulled over in California. Is that true? The person said that by law the signals have to be at least 6 inches apart to be legal.

Is the smoked version bright enough for the day time? It looks amazing but I would rather have the clear one if it means no one will be able to see me brake in an emergency
Some say yes, some still prefer to be as bright as possible. I would say go with clear. It will still look great and give you the maximum brightness you can get.

great products guys, I installed it on my wife's fz-07. But I do have a question, we went through all 9 of the program combinations, and it doesn't seem to have the sequential turn signal function, I did buy the relay with it (but didn't install it because she like the hyper flash); do I need to install the relay to enable that function?
Yes the relay will be necessary for the sequential function to "look right". Your signals are flashing too fast so it it is unable to complete the sequential flash sequence. Installing the flasher relay should solve this issue. If she prefers a faster flash rate, then you can go ahead and adjust the relay to where it flashes somewhat fast but still slow enough for the tail light to complete the sequential sequence.

Our detailed instruction videos walk you step by step through the entire process so you can do it yourself in a shorter time than it would take you to drop the bike off and pick it up from a shop. Yes, we do ship to NZ. We do not have a pre-2020 MT version of the 3 here in the USA so I cannot confirm anything 100%. The electrical connectors for the signals may be a bit different because we have see the Asian and NZ/AUS models have different connectors than USA/EU models. If the OEM tail light part numbers are the same as for the R3 then you can physically install the tail light without any problems, and then you may just have to work around the connectors. You can see the connectors we have on our light in the product photos on our website. The fender eliminator should be the same as R3 but again...we cannot verify 100%.

Check your connectors against the photos of our connectors on our website. If they match you are good to go. If they don't, shoot our customer service a message through our website and they will think up a way to get you going.
The MT-03 uses the same tail configuration as R3 so physically the light will fit. I do believe that the signal connectors are different than what we have installed on our tail lights so some wiring will be necessary.
It should, however we do not have that model available in our market so we cannot verify that. You can see if the R3 and MT03 tail light part number is the same on Yamaha parts fiche, and if it is then our tail light will fit.

A bike with a small motor does not produce a lot of torque so it won't tear a smaller contact patch off the pavement. In addition you do not want any additional rotating mass on your wheels beyond what is practical to preserve traction.

R3's tires are so thin!
A bike with a small motor does not produce a lot of torque so it won't tear a smaller contact patch off the pavement. In addition you do not want any additional rotating mass on your wheels beyond what is practical to preserve traction.
