- The leaders of Germany, France and Poland are meeting in Berlin in an attempt to show unity with Ukraine.
It has been seen as an effort to address diverging French and German policies when it comes to the defence of Ukraine.
Germany remains Europe's biggest source of military aid for Ukraine, but Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said it was now up to their three countries to "mobilise all of Europe" to provide Ukraine with help.

Your narration totally skips the Polish part in this as one of the biggest advocates and supporters of Ukrainian military effort. The meeting followed PM Tusk's delegation in the US the day before, which aimed at supporting the pass of the US funds for Ukraine. All you talk about is not what the meeting was all about, but the French German lack of common communication. But I know - this is what the media is all about.
as a Polish person i'm not surprised. Sometimes those "other countries" are just invisible for the old West establishment. That;s why they didn't listen when we warned them...

The German economy and Russian resources would push the United States off its pedestal. And if Germany also left the European Union and revived the Deutsche mark, this currency would immediately become the most important global unit.

If Europe does anything to those Russian assets not only will Russia confiscate European private assets they have in Russia they will go after Western assets around the world in court cases around the world.
Plus nobody is going to trust putting their money in Western banks anymore, other countries in the Brics will have a greater incentive of dumping the USD which wil hurt the US and Europe a lot more in the long term than losing $300 Billion since their economies are mostly based finances.
Moreover, Russia is going to gain much more in value than $300 Billio it conquers more Ukrainian territory, land, coal, industrial centers and entire regions.

I'm the first to criticise the BBC but to be fair this report provides a surprisingly accurate description of the current situation. If you missed it the presenter hit the nail on the head at about 2:20 and underlined the 'elephant in the room' when talking about providing arms to UKR;
"I was recently at a factory - well something that will be a factory one day that will produce ammunition (in the coming years) - 'some of which' (it's planned) would go to UKR"
It's probably obvious that I don't support UKR - but if you're going to back them they need the stuff yesterday because they are running out of everything. They don't need endless empty promises and footage of journalists taken on building sites that might one day become a factory that may provide ammunition in the coming years. This is just virtue signalling.
If you're truly supporting UKR then give them what they say they need to win, or at least have a fighting chance. If you're not serious about that then tell them it's time to tap-out, preserve what remains of their country and end the killing on both sides.

Russian Zombies lost their minds 10 years ago when they started this war. Russia broke peace by invading Ukraine in 2014, so peace will be restored when all Russian invaders are back in Russia. Until then there is nothing to negotiate except POW exchanges, and schedule of Russian payments for all the damage.

@@bobdown1720 I don't think that is the case. In 99% of the time you just use words that are on the YT naughty list which deletes your comment within 10-60 seconds. Unfortunately noone knows what words are on it. So if you are in doubt, make your words cryptic (e.g. by adding '.' or '-' between letters to throw off the detection algorithm). Doesn't work all the time but it helps. I recently found out that the word 'git.hub' (without the . in the middle) is on that list as well so who knows what other strange, unjustifiable words are on it.

Russia's withdrawal from Kyiv and other areas in early 2023 was part of a precondition done in good faith that Ukraine would sign a peace agreement with Russia to end the war. Unfortunately, Boris Johnson - the Solomon of Great Britain then - travelled to Kyiv to persuade Zelensky not to sign the peace deal, promising that Russia had to be defeated on the battlefield. And here we are today, NATO members are acting like headless chickens. My honest view is that this war shouldn't have taken place in the first place but for NATO's desire to expand and override Moscow's red lines since the fall of the Berlin Wall. Even the Minsk Agreement was abrogated. Honestly, the world is too small for conflict and only big enough for cooperation. When will we ever learn despite the answer blowing in the wind? With two world wars all having started from Europe, the Global South is now wondering if Europe is the real primitive world. Only primitives resort to conflicts to solve problems. Civilised people dialogue.

In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.

Russia's national security was compromised once nato began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining nato was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns.

There is evidence that Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately shelling civilians in Donbas (they used petal mines and targeted areas where there was no military presence).
The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present.
Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave.

The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims).

I have done a lot of research and it took me a long time to write this comment. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion.
I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written.
Hopefully someone will write an UNBIASED book, stating facts and allowing the readers to form their own judgments. Everything I said can be fact checked and verified.

I don't disagree but you missing the fact that Ukraine is it own country and deserve to defend its self. Russia has commit just as much if not more atrocities then Ukraine and they both should be held accountable for that but invading another country in not right in any circumstance. not saying my country is perfect ever we shouldn't have nether been in the middle east the way we was. but don't forget Russia has invaded Afghanistan and other such country's as well. you making out that Russia is the good guy here it nonsense, because there just as bad. and why would they have peace talks when Russia want to take a slice of there land in it and want them to not join Neto that up to them no one else its it own county. so of course there going to fight for there choices and land. if Neto's a threat to Russia if it keep expanding, then I would be the first to say if my country or Neto invade Russa with out any good reason eg they attack first then we shouldn't even be there and should be aiming to come to peace with Russia and hope make them a part of Europe some day and not have to feel threated and separate. so the world can rest easy and we can thrave together.
