For people who say that their footage looks crap or colors look washed out. All you have to do is increase the vibrance. For example I use Premiere Pro for editing my videos and I increase the vibrance from 100 to 155 and that gets all my colors back in the footage.
This is easily one of the best videos I've seen on YT in a long time. Thank you for putting so much effort in to making it. I don't own Apple products but the way you document your process and explain why you do what you do is well worth my time watching the video. I picked up many tips that I intent to use in the future.
Hey, thanks a ton for the kind words! Really glad you found the video helpful, even without being in the Apple club. 🙌 If you ever have questions or ideas for future vids, feel free to drop them!
I have 13 pro and i can already tell the 15 pro Camera is a million times better just by looking at this video. I'm waiting for my new 15 to arrive, and try the camera, so excited.
great vid - I highly recommend pro max shooters get a couple of good ND filters and stack them, especially if shooting in sunlight at a low ISO - you will need them and you will have more control over your exposure when using BM app
Wow man, this is absolutely fantastic. Not only did you go hike to capture footage for your video, but you also recorded yourself doing that, lol, awesome! Loved the very detailed explaining, and will buy and use everything you’re sponsoring, thanks again!
This is one of the best tutorials! Can I ask what the frame rate of the final video (when you edit the final cut)? I can see the figures on top left corner “4K 25p” does it mean this video is 25fps?
Awesome breakdown Benett! You put a lot of effort to share the BTS and what the Iphone 15 Pro is capable - Thanks for sharing!! Not sure, if you remember me, but I follow your journey quite a while now and been a silent watcher recently due to 2 small kids :) And it is really inspiring how you improved over the years. Since I'm now able to timeslot a bit more time for my creative outlet your YT journey is a real inspiration and your videos have so many useful tips which I have to practise and implement in my future videos. Just want to thank you for your work! :)
Absolutely remember you! Thanks a bunch for the encouraging words. It's awesome to know my journey resonates with you and thanks for the continuous support! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions buddy!
How did you get the ring around your mouse pointer? Is this a production technique added to your video or a setting in Final Cut? Love the video, extremely inspiring!
I like that you clearly covered all the steps from recording to final editing in Final Cut. Answered many of the questions I had about editing Apple Log.

Wow this is amazing 😍 very helpful video for beginners.. After watching this video, I think I’m going to skip pixel 8pro and buy the iPhone 15 pro max ❤
Thank you for this fantastic in-depth tutorial! The Apple conversion Lut seems to be not ideal as it represents the colors a bit off. I hope at some point third party solutions will be available. For the hardware it would be fantastic to have a case that includes SSD, ND-filter and some kind of beefy grip. What a fantastic time to be a videographer!
Wow, amazing. One of the better tutorials. Recently got an iPhone 15 Pro. No cage or SSD yet, but that's coming. The explanation in FCPX is perfect. Will apply some of it. The Sound Effects are also nicely and well explained. In short, you've gained a follower.
Have you used luts? because the natural forests colors are not that dark. Please guide on this so as to bring up the effects like the one in your final video. Thanks.
Hello? Again, it's a new week. In Korea/SeouI I hope this week also brings you good health and good things. And I always support your beautiful/attractive activities. ^^
Action mode is recommend for action type movements where there is a lot of camera shake involved. On top of that you‘ll also lose resolution and its not good in low light.
And there was me wondering “Where has Bennet gone?” Now I know! Another great detailed tutorial. This should help the community come to grips with using the iPhone 15 Pro to make cinematic videos. Thank you! One question - can I color grade my Pro Rez clips using Apple’s Photos Library editing tools?
Thanks a lot! I had another video planed but the publishing date was postponed. Yes you can use the photos app but the results are not as great as when using an editing software. If you want to color grade on your phone then LumaFusion allows for importing LUTs and also has scopes.
I don't have iphone15, I don't know final cut, but why I am finishing this video? This is awesome bro, I enjoyed even if I know nothing on this. Thank you
Perfect timing on this video, juuuust upgraded from an iPhone X to the 15 Pro Max and it’s a-making :) Now, try to find some spare time to actually use it and test out the stuff in this video on my channel …
@@BenettGraezer Loving every part of it so far, especially being able to film longer than 20 minutes without the battery dying, and also having access to the Blackmagic Camera app which totally obliterates Filmic Pro (especially after them going subscription based) bit also since the BMCamera can’t run on the iPhone X due to it not supporting iOS 17 :) Having sunday set for filming the whole day for a new channel video and diving into both the BMCamera App and getting it to look decent in Davinci Resolve, haven’t been this excited in *years* :)
Wowww . What an awesome Video ! I just got the iPhone 15 Pro Max and I was struggling with log footage and all the video formats ! This video helped a lott brother ! Love your videos ❤. By the way , are those premium mobile luts compatible with FCP for iPad also ? I edit my videos on FCP iPad , I would really love to have them on FCP iPad
Thanks! Means a lot to me. The LUTs are compatibile with most editing apps and softwares such as Davinci and LumaFusion. I don’t think FCP for iPad supports importing LUTs at the moment but hopefully with a future update it will.
Thanks a ton! That was a wealth of information! Could I ask though how did you change the frame rate on the iPhone to 25fps? ‘Cuz as I understand it it’s either 30 or 60, unless you use a third party app such as Blackmagic? Your answer would be much appreciated! ❤
Another amazing post mate! wow! you put so much time an effort to share your talent! 🙏 I have a couple of questions: 1- When you turn on the HDR on the Iphone settings, to get 10 bit, I've been told that shooting HDR gets the colors all funky when editing/color correcting is that the case when you do your post? Also regarding HDR again, 🤔 I thought one couldn't shoot Log if choosing HDR on the settings? ( I am bit confused! but it wouldn't be the first time!! 😂) I'd love to hear your thoughts on this! thanks! & cheers!
Thanks a lot! I just got a comment from @MJR3218 that you don't necessarily need to turn on HDR video setting on your iPhone's camera because the Apple Log mode always records in good quality (10 bits). He filmed two videos, one with HDR on and one with it off, using the regular camera app, and both turned out to be good quality (10 bits) in DaVinci Resolve. In that case the HDR setting doesn't affect the quality when you're using Apple Log.
Outstanding work. Some sound design especialy when walking through the leaves would have brought it to life a bit more for me but still, great visuals.
For me One of the most clear video on iPhone video making
