In the video, we have the G4 using a hack with DTM to be able to show an impressive image, but unrealistic from the point of view of the game developers, while the S90D with the Contrast at 50 in this game shows that no matter the quality of the panel, the image can be very bad, with the colors overexposed, removing many details, the default Contrast value on the S90D should be around 45 for any game mode, and if HDR Tone Mapping is active, the Contrast should be around 37 so as not to kill a lot of details, this with HGiG active which is mandatory to better highlight the bright areas. A few more points, in SDR content which should be the case here, the G4 can get up to 60% brighter than the S90D. In HDR, that advantage drops considerably to below 25%, in some cases delivering similar or even darker brightness without DTM on the G4.

In SDR content, as is likely the case in this video, the LG G4 can be up to 60% brighter than the S90D; in HDR, the difference narrows dramatically, as you can see in the God of War videos. But this will only matter if you use your TV's brightness at maximum, DTM is LG's impressive hack here.

Uploader still can't give us reason why the S90 is out of focus. Everyone, go to 15:40, you can't even read the words off the menu options.
On the video it looks like HDR vs SDR... also there seem to be a bad camera focus on Samsung
I think he is using Dynamic Tone Mapping on the G4, in the first comparison video with GOW you can see the huge difference in this mode, with DTM turned off, the S90D is almost at the same level.
How does the s90d compare to the s95c is there any advantages or is the older tv as good
@jiffjaff9018 Hey thank you for the comment and checking out the video. Means allot. I personally liked the s95c better. I thought it was still brighter and better build quality and better overall picture quality. Upscaling seems similar to me. The only issue I had was the constant dropouts of the s95c in gaming on my ps5. That truly was the worse experience I ever had on a tv for that reason. But when it worked, it was an amazing tv
@@consumerreview2k Will the G4 work in a living room thats bright from natural sunlight or semi bright with the blinds closed?
@Bronco2Cj I've had the g4 on with multiple ceiling lights on and it still shined through just fine in my living space situation so I can say my experience was very good and no issues
I don't know why you show all the time calibrate of Samsung it's too much red too much purple not natural color and I know LG G4 is a lot of problem the color is not good to because of filter green and yellow to make screen look more brightness the color pale 😤
Lg g4 👌
I want a 83" QD Oled with superior clarity and processing, that's the only reason I'am being hesitant on getting the G4.
Will wait what happens next year, either A95M or maybe LG manages to get their hands on Blue Pholed.
But if there is no 83" QD Oled coming I think I'am just getting either the 83" G4 or 77" A95L and call it quit.
A95L is the best OLED you can buy right now.
According to fomo, there will no pholed soon for a tv. He seems to know the industry in that way. Said recently that they can do it now...if you want your rv to last 6 weeks. It's just not close. In fact, it might be 2028 before that happens with a tv and will be in smaller decices first, most likely.
Hello! Please check compare G4 and S90D for films sd and hd quality. Thanks!
omg look at the tree in the background at 14:03. the 90D is blurry as hell and all the detail is lost. massive difference
S90D is too dim, S95E next year might be good again if they get rid of the matte coating. However if they decide to keep it well then R.I.P to Samsung fanboys.💀
How is this even a comparison considering these two models are at two different price points. S90D vs C4 // S95D VS G4 would be a more proper comparison.
yes, it shows very well, but the lg g4 screen flickers very much, it is visible on the phone after shooting with shutter speed , eyes water after an hour of watching, the TV is not suitable for comfortable viewing, do not believe the review, everyone is silent about this problem.
Oledlerde pwm yok diye biliyorum.
@@tr4687 I can show you on the video where you can see that there is a flicker on the screen, if you don't believe it, check for yourself, at my house lg g4 you get very tired of it, it's impossible to watch for a long time.
@@Deniskin77 did it ever come to ur mind that u have a broken unit? if u see flickering in video its bc of the camera and not the tv. dont believe this guy.
@@dwight2310I was about to say I doubt this guy even has a c1 🤣
All OLED TVs flicker about the same amount, but it's not PWM flicker like on almost all LCD TVs, but a tiny drop in brightness at the refresh rate.
Looking at the RTINGS reviews of both these models, the flicker graphs are **literally** indistinguishable between the G4 and S90D, except for the 0% brightness graph where the S90D seems to flicker slightly more... If you can tolerate one but not the other it's either due to settings, some non-flicker-related effect or psychological.
Hey buddy.😊
Sony did an update which has destroyed my picture on my 77” A95L seriously they did a remote access and factory erased my tv and picture is now trash. I am fortunate enough to have the geek squad warranty, however it’s under Sony MFG also so have to deal with Sony first. Update trashed my baby
You must always look at what the new update corresponds to (on the internet) before installing them on your TV
I have the A95L and installed the latest firmware update and this is the best picture I have ever seen in my life. No tv come close to A95L.
@@MISTERMASTER1234was it improved from the previous update, if so, what are the differences?
There’s an update sitting up there now I haven’t made. Trying to see if I need to wait to update, what problems did you run into?
@@504cool Don’t do it, I’d say. My beautiful tv is now screwed. I’m lucky I bought the geek squad warranty, 1,000 bucks. Plus it’s under mfg warranty still. Will see what happens. Not cool
If i remember, the s95d has a max bandwidth of 40gbps while the s90d is 48. How does that 8 gbps difference affect anything?
That would not affect anything here.
Nothing
it does is uselless in pc gaming , on top of that coonect box is piece of ggarbagge and yoou wwill ssufffer of bblack outts . Forrget 144hz and fulll 444 chroma at 4k
LG BURN IN always
You showing s90d on your settings and they suck
Check the Value Electronics ShootOut to see if the G4 is better than the S95D loool. People literally make stuff up nowadays
The shootout is not the end-all authority of what is “best”. It’s hard for me to take it seriously when nobody ever wins besides Sony for the past 8 years. Seems kind of biased to say the least.
@braden9536
I think this is one of the rudest comments, ever. We are so lucky to have these guys doing this for us. ogcod always repeats "in my opinion" so why attack him so rudely.
I have a 77"G4 but im never offended when UA-camrs say other tvs are better in certain areas. Dont we want them to be honest in their reviews! Thats how we get help making our purchase decisions.
I think you should revisit your comment below and may e reword it and still make your point.
ogcod is one of the top tv/game reviewer's.
Thanks for your time, ogcod, top man. Until next time ❤️
Color looks different. Not sure what you mean by clarity. Just having a brighter image isn't going to look good. If you can show more footage from different games that will help. I own s90d
