That's why children before including myself hardly got sick because of consuming local fruits. We have been brain washed. Am eating a pomerac while listening to this talk. 😌

So informative..brings back so many memories of my youth. It was a shock for me years ago when I had to buy mangoes as I knew about getting them freely. I never liked the foreign fruits except for maybe bing cherries. I eat whatever is in season..so right now I am getting my mango fix😄 and only a few days ago I got a few of the 'white pommerac' and I had my fill. Yes..nothing beats back our sunkissed fruits. Sapodilla..soursop..sugar apple..caimite..portugals..mangoes..avocadoes..etc etc..we have it so nice here

I am so amazed with this episode... luv it .. we grew up eating most of these and I am very happy u did this educational segment about our tropical fruits...I live in Florida and I planted most of these fruits in my yard ... my main goal was for my kids to connect to our culture especially through our foods, cooking and of course fruits and veggies.....u break this down so logically....thanks Vlad / Ravi 👍🇬🇾🇺🇸🇹🇹 ... I also lived in Trinidad for a while so I luv the diversity of all the fruits ...

I would also speak about the different flavors depending on ripeness. For example 5 fingers taste like green grapes when they are still green. Also many tropical fruit trees are heavy producers

As well the ACEROLA CHERRY TREE also produces Fruits through-out the growing Year !!! FRUIT TREES That produce multiple Crops A Year are a Big + for any Garden. DWARF JUNE PLUM TREES are Also Everbear and can be eaten green & when they Ripen in color. OH Yes There are FRUITS FOR EVERY SEASON OF THE YEAR !!! Very informative and beautiful knowledge about local fruits. I love Africa because of its richness of the Natural Resources and of beautiful culture .Always preferred to eat local fruits, vegetables coz firstly they are best chosen by Mother Nature for us accordingly our needs and secondly we can get them free ( if we own some fruit trees) or at less price as compared to imported ones. I got the chance to live in Africa and observed that people here don't know how to best use these resources or different methods of processing these fruits.

The children of today's world knows nothing about pommarec, pommcthyree,West Indian cherries, sugar cane, and all the many tropical fruit that she mentioned,I as a young ate all those fruits and still do , I used to suck sugar cane every day,my grandfather had fields as far as the eyes can see, mangoes I had choices which one I wanted on any given day to eat ,Portugal, orange, grapefruits, and the other citrus was their to have to your heart contents, but as the world changes rapidly so also I am assuming that people views on fruits and vegetables maybe different from when I was a child and grown into an adult,I still my fruits, vegetables,it's a must have with me .Once again you all did a very beautiful vlog ,thanks .
