Awesome. This worked great. I managed to pack 2 suits, shirts and a pair of dress shoes in my carryon for a quick business trip to Italy and they survived in perfect wrinkle free condition. Thanks
I cannot tell you how retarded I feel trying t do this to the jacket, how this went from normal, so inside out, then you do this, and it somehow it still inside out is black magic...
Right on. This is a great tutorial. Just when I thought why fold so much when you can use a garment bag. Then you did it and showed how much easier it is to use one instead. I actually have a bifold and trifold from Lesportsac. After packing my suitcase, I lay my trifold on top of packed clothes in carry-on and zip it way and the same for my bifold in my regular suitcase. On weekend trips I just carry them with, using the shoulder strap. FYI they double in my closet to keep my formal wear (tux) from dust and moth.
We’ll see how this goes. Flying to Philly tomorrow and I’m thinking those handlers are going to go all Rocky Balboa on my suitcase. We know those dudes in Philly don’t play around.
I odnt know wtf you do with that jacket in method one, but my shoulder pads will not come through yours. I have to force them from the other side resulting in a very ugly fold
Can you put the garment bag inside a checked-in luggage and is the suit safe if it is squeezed by so many other things in there? (While in a garment bag and hanger)
I just used this video two nights ago to pack for my spouse's prep school reunion in MA, so I had to pack a blazer, khakis and several Oxford shirts. You are a godsend! It took me a few tries for the blazer, but I did it! In lieu of a valet, this was the next best thing. LOL! Hope your move goes well. Cheers!
You could probably put your rolled-up preferred shirt inside the suit jacket with the matching pants, to reduce the wrinkles in the jacket, and keep it all together, so you don't have to look for the separated pieces, unless you really want to wear a different shirt.
Hi chief, have been watching your videos and can relate to a lot of things, great. This packing tip is a gem. Btw the belt you are wearing in the video- any details and is it available outside US?
Just did method 2 for a friend's wedding, packed my suit and my shirt in a backpack and traveled, was very surprised that my suit and shirt were wrinkle free, this method works 👍🏿👍🏿
Great tutorial. Very helpful for traveling
Thank you
Strange how we never see an unpacking afterwards video, to see exactly how creased they end up.
thank you

Finally, you are the first I have seen to admit an iron is still needed. Others straight out falsify it. Thank you.
Great!! Kondo style for men!!! John, you stay in pretty good shape/weight...can you talk about your diet and exercise routine?
Leaving on a trip Thursday and only taking a carryon so this was helpful.

Thanks for this tutorial. I'm heading to Vegas on a couple weeks and needed a method to pack my velvet suit jacket.
Have fun!

Nice presentation sir
Yours is the best description, John. And that's the reason I have subscribed to your videos!
Cheers!
Cheers!
Nice! Thank you! It would be great to have a full tutorial on how to put together the full suitcase including shoes, socks, pijamas, etc.
Do you really need a tutorial to show you how to pack socks?
Great video, much better than the low effort crap from GQ, with "wrinkle free" claims. Thanks sir.
Wow ❤️
Great instructional video! Enjoyed it
Okeen Morris Thank you very much!

Thank you!
wish i could see the video except there is some 6 minute long advertisement that doesn't allow skipping apparently?
Excellent, I’m going to try and fit this into a small backpack, wish me luck haha.
Good ideas 😉👍
Nice
Buen tutorial gracias saludos de Peru
Hi, do you have a link for the garment bag you showed?

Question 1 - why every second button on the dress shirt prior to folding? Question 2 is there a difference to fold dress shirt narrower vs wider?

Thanks for posting this, John! As always, very informative!
Great content! Thank u..
Simple and elegant. I used to always carry it with my suit cover. I'll try this
If we pack our suit in the way you displayed, don't you think it will lead to wrinkles on it.
Thank you very much ❤🕊!
I cannot got the shoulder pads to cooperate at all like you do
Just came across this one. Great tips. Thank you.
Your videos are excellent

Not sure I’ll be folding the 4 suits he need to be travelling with, but your instructions are easy to follow. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you!
Thank you for the content
Roll polo shirts and t shirts?
I like the watch, where did you get it?
Nice tutorial video, thanks you
Nice! thank you
I'm going to try it for my trip next week
Genius
Loved it
Thank you!!
Great Video!
Very practical.
Love it 👍🏼
The second suit folding method looks great. Can’t wait to try.
To me it looks awful aesthetically, with the trouser seat pressing against arguably the most crucial part of a suit - the lapels.
a-men
suit fold starts at 02:50
i would want to see the unpacking after such folding..i have not travelled in a long time
