Great tip...to which I would add ( after 30 years of living out of a business suitcase)... put the folded suit into a bag to keeps its folded shape firm ( and so does not unravel in your bag in the hands of baggage handlers...)
Excellent! Thank you very much for posting this video, actually after 20-25 years I was doing it completely in the opposite way, so believe it or not you just gave me something new to apply from now on … Never and nothing is too late in this life, nothing! after a quarter of a century thanks to you I just feel way better. Thank you🫵😌
I needed this tip/trick for a trip I just took with a brand new suit. THIS IS THE VERY BEST METHOD, Thanks Rush My suit had ZERO wrinkles. Cheers mate!
One of the most important pieces of advice ever that applies to everyone. Thank you! I’ve always assumed one had to use the hanging, wardrobe, travel suitcases.
I also put the suite in a sealable plastic bag. The air inside cushions the fabric to a degree and should an item in your toiletries leak it prevents damage.
This is the first time for me to pack a suit, sport coat, and related attire while traveling by airline to a wedding. This video really helped! Thank you sir!!
In the past, you needed a father to give you advice. Now we have UA-cam which never gets annoyed at you, always has the time and energy to assist, is willing to repeat the advice and has the correct answer. Despite all of the woke and social media nonsense in today's world we are actually living in very good times.
@@LoveworldActivist Agreed. Dad's can never be replaced but even the greatest most loving dad's either didn't give advice or we as their children did not want to accept it from them. UA-cam is another great source if you are willing to use it.
Good advice. I've been doing a version of this for 50 years with no problems although folding up a suit at 4AM with a bad hangover can get funky. Sometimes I roll the trousers with a piece of tissue paper in between the legs.
Even better if you turn the shoulders inside out, and then fold the jacket as shown. Depending on the width of your valuse or bag, you can then fold it in two or three, vertically, amd (as shown) once horizontally. Folding trousers once, then rolling them from the waist band, down is good, too. That is how we were taught to fold our uniform suits, as Cadets at Britannia Royal Naval College, when packing everything into our kit bags.
Many years ago I packed my suit in my suitcase and it was wrinkled when I took it out. Luckily, I was able to take it in to get it pressed. I wish I had known about this folding technique.
Interesting approach. I particularly like the suggestion of using the pants, which I fold the same way, to prevent creasing in the jacket. For the jacket, I've always had good results folding one exterior shoulder inside of the opposite shoulder and then folding everything in half. I haven't had any problematic creases, and there's less "lining things up" time. The stitching and construction of the shoulders ensures that there is structure to the interlocking shoulders that prevents wrinkling or crushing of the overall shape.
The hanger was too broad for that particular suit Sir, evidenced by the creases at the front shoulder. Also, never wear a suit jacket directly after exposure from a steam filled room, always allow it the air on a balcony, or by an open window. Otherwise, this is a very good explanation of how to best prepare a suit for travel.
I would suggest just getting a good garment bag or a Briggs & Riley carry on bag with a garment section in it. I travel every week for work and I have never had an issue with my awesome Briggs & Riley bag.
Exactly. I sent an expensive blazer to my niece in other continent And strictly instructed the traveller to keep it on the top of suitcase. Arrived in perfect condition .👌
Brilliant. Now that airlines are charging extra for carry on, this method will work for my backpack. Won't be long before they charge for all "personal items", so soon we'll be wondering 'bout a Matchbox holdin' my clothes, 'cuz I ain't got no matches But I sure got a long way to go!
Watching this makes me want to drink! Remove suit suit from your closet, leave suit on the hanger, fold it over in half and put it flat in the suitcase on top of everything else.. Remove from suitcase when you get to the hotel and hang in closet. No wrinkles, no wasted steps. Simple.
I just lack my suits in a larger suit case to fold once and use the cleaner bags to avoid clinging. The process shown in the video is great if you have to travel uber light or without wheels. Ie peasant class
Doing a carry-on only weekend trip for a wedding in a couple of days and need to take a suit with me. This is extremely helpful. Thanks! I have a 'packing cube' that's just the right size to handle a suit folded with this method, too.
24 years of business travel and this is the first time I am seeing this. Thank you sir.

Wow. There is actually useful information on the internet. Thanks.
I used this method and it worked very well inside a mid size carry-on, even when being pulled along vertically. Thank you very much.

I doubt everyone wears a suit.
I also put the suite in a sealable plastic bag. The air inside cushions the fabric to a degree and should an item in your toiletries leak it prevents damage.
Great demonstration! I could easily follow it and now my suit is perfectly packed into my hand carry case.
Thank you 🎉
Interested in Learning new things. Excellent

Very good demonstration of folding suite.
I learnt this from my tailor 35 years ago, but learnt today from you the trick of keeping trousers within the jacket.
Same here!

The steam trick is the true icing on the cake 😮 thanks so much!

Insert a paper between pants and blazer and In the end wrap it in a newspaper or any paper. It will prevent any wrinkles
Excellent, thank you. Great accent also.
Beautifully handled. I have learned that folding clothes around dry cleaning bags absolutely keeps wrinkles away from suits and shirts

I’d love to see Steve Martin do a rendition of this on SNL 😅
thank you. I just knew that internet will give me a better answer than keep using my suit case.
You could also invest in a good suit bag, or a handheld steamer. I used a steamer for my wedding suit and it worked super well
