    I done it and it worked extremely well. No wrinkles anywhere at all. I have used this method many times for all different types of holidays and get aways. Each time it worked and I am very suprised that it didn't work for other people. It definitely worked for me

    This is only practical if you only have one destination that you will completely unpack at.

      Thank you. Who even thought this was a game changer? Besides, I've rarely had literally every item come out wrinkled. If you pack a tight and neat suitcase, I doubt you'll have an issue.

      @kev14609 5 років тому +12

      Rex H true but you could create two small bundles to separate the destinations too. I have done that for business trips utilizing packing cubes to keep it separate. This technique save a lot of space

    I tried this, but am not concerned about wrinkle free. It took a stack of clothes and made it compact. It definitely worked for me in that respect.

    I am checking my bag of winter clothes going to Appleton Wisconsin for a two week training and I was having anxiety about how I was going to pack everything. I came across this video and followed the instructions and it worked. Will forever pack this way and will show friends and family. THANK YOU!!!!

    Folks, travel doesn't always mean flying. This method works awesome for road trips, also, since a carry-on bag will save a bunch of space in your car.

      What other kind of bag could you have in a car besides a carry on?

    • @Patrick94GSR

      @@JonWitsellPhotographicArts a full size suitcase of course.

    • @JonWitsellPhotographicArts

      @@Patrick94GSR Rolling your clothing isn't going to save you the difference between a carry on and a full size suitcase. I'm on a trip right now. On the outbound leg I folded my clothes, on the return trip I'm rolling the same clothing. Very little difference. 110L bag, maybe saved enough space for one more t-shirt? It certainly took way more time to roll than it did to fold. What I meant by my previous comment is that all bags are carry on in a car... there is no checked baggage, no matter the bag, it's carry on.

    • @Patrick94GSR
      @Patrick94GSR 3 роки тому

      @@JonWitsellPhotographicArts “carry-on” refers to a standard bag size which is smaller than a standard suitcase size, and is designed to fit in a commercial aircraft overhead compartment. And this is neither folding nor rolling. It’s bundle packing and I promise you can fit way, way more clothes into a much smaller space doing it this way. Folding and rolling garments individually both wastes some amount of volume. Bundle packing leaves almost no empty volume at all.

    • @Patrick94GSR
      @Patrick94GSR 3 роки тому

      @@JonWitsellPhotographicArts if your bag is already big enough for what you’re taking, then obviously you don’t need this method. But I’d be willing to bet that if you bundled all your garments, you could likely downsize to a smaller bag.

    I've been packing this way for a few years now, after seeing this video or one like it. It works so well. If you need to get into some items, such as a one-day hotel stay before a cruise, then keep some clothes outside the bundle for this. Also, My bundle is looser. Just fold each item cross-wise and make the bundle not so tight. I can get so much more in my suitcase it is amazing.

    I'm amazed by the comments. I've been using this method for years and it works. No wrinkles and you end up being able to carry more if you want. Never been asked by TSA to unwrap at check in. And never needed to pull out socks or a t shirt traveling from point A to point B. You can always lays an extra shirt on top of/below/next to the bundle for easy access. Unpack when you get to your destination. It literarily takes minutes.

      I just packed like this just before Christmas. After I got my bundle of clothes inside, i hade some extra space on the side and top where I put my shoes and a jacket. In my backpack I put electronics, gloves, and other essentials. Since I don’t want a hassle with TSA, I always buy travel size shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant etc when I get there. I know this doesn’t work for everyone, but I hate getting my liquid stuff thrown out at the gate!! I think it is possible to take that stuff with you but look at the regulations beforehand.

    It looks kind of annoying and hard to get your stuff, you have to unwrap everything to get to what you want sometimes. I have a better solution, pack anyway you want and bring a small water bottle when you want to wear a shirt or pants the next day, pull it out spray it down and pull it straight and leave it to dry out. All the wrinkles are gone and no ironing. I do the same thing at home when I pull things out of a dryer I lightly missed them with water and hang them up no wrinkles. There are some fabrics that you just can’t get away from ironing but choose not to buy those types of fabric in the future. I’ve been traveling for work 20 years and this works great.

      Instead of this I usually bundle back my outfits. Put my shirt and socks inside my gym shorts and roll that up, the same for each outfit of the day. For dresses and skirts, I fold them up and lay them flat on the bottom of the suitcase. It usually works out well for me

    • @Patrick94GSR

      It's not a hassle at all. Also "bundle pack outfits" doesn't really work if you want to pack light and use just a few pants combined with a bunch of different tops to make different outfits.
