"HE HAD BEATEN HER... in chess"
Was about to comment that .. she’s funny 😅
But she beat the girl as well... at chess
certified anna moment
There would be no “in chess” in the 60’s 🗿☕️
this made me spit my drink right out of my mouth. i'm so happy she clarified it right away
He did not seem angry. He seemed like a nice guy.
Of course, he won.... He's nice when he win, but ANGRY when he lose.
@@XxKidnoffxX The only person that was angry (jokingly) was Anna. You should only let our child beat you every now and again when they loose interest and as a last resort. Losing is the best way to learn tho, winning all the time makes you stale and ruins the game for you.
That's just how clickbait works on UA-cam. People just go along, no big deal, simply typical disappointment and annoyance of content.
The titles are all clickbait
Unfortunately content creators are pretty much forced to use clickbait titles. Luckily if you know the channel you also know the type of content it will have so you can take the title with a grain of salt.
"Igor first, Italian guy second, Maya's dad third, me fourth" - what a nice summary of such a friendly competition with so much great chess.
Spoiler!!!! John Jameson!
There are 2 serious problems with being an angry father wanting revenge for Anna beating his daughter at chess: Anna's Parents!
Even this paradox could be resolved: angry Juan beats Anna... in chess:) to get revenge for Anna Cramling bot, beaten by Anna without any mercy
Two things to think about that also helped you not win. You thought your opponent was weaker than you when you started the game. That was a strategic weakness on your part and made you play unfocused. A person does not get to that point in a tournament without having strengths to get there. You underestimated your opponent. Because of the underestimation you played slower in the beginning which assisted in causing you the time issue. You lost because of a mental lapse in strategy. You are very good, however, you must never overestimate yourself. It is a consistent tragic flaw for most who lose in situations that require strategy. Study history & you can see it time & time again.
Watch Phil Hellmuth in poker. One of the best players yet loses a lot because he overestimates his ability and underestimate his opponent
@@jeffreykayjk1136wow Jeff you really do take yourself too seriously 😂😂😂
I'd be more concerned if my daughter had been a good sport in losing... Dad's a bit of a jerk ...
The Italian guy: I have a name!
Okay, The Italian guy
Maya's dad: Same.
Hahaha the Italian guy.. should ask her out.
@@Algaber100 Maybe he did, if I was her I wouldn’t share that on the channel unless it later turned serious.
@@Algaber100 That chemistry probably didn't go unnoticed. By either.

This whole series was fantastic! Wholesome competition and brilliant commentary.
Love your content anna, its crazy how extroverted you are. Going out in the public and playing chess while also making youtube content. Its inspiring! Please keep up the great content!
You should get a public signature, which is different from the signature you use to sign bank checks.
Of course. I really doubt athletes sign their jersey number on a bank check lol
Yes, many celebrities and politicians use two different signatures - an illegible scrawl for checks & legal documents, and a very legible - almost printed - signature for autographs.
Who uses checks in 2024 though?
sometimes just because you can, you should @@marcknight9334

Who’s Angry? You don’t need clickbait..
Exactly, she does this often and it is bad.
1:50 Tbf, it was how the announcer guy portrayed it, even if there was no actual animosity.
@@ShadowOfCicerohe said avenge not revenge. Revenge is more harsh or emotional. Avenge is more like justice. Basically revenge gets more clicks.
@@1024detNah, revenge is the noun, avenge is the verb. That’s all.
I think this has been a trend with some of my favorites lately, including Lex. Maybe a temporary uptick on those particular videos but it’s not the reason why we grew to love them in the first place.
"STOP DRINKING BEER!"
Nono, Anna, you gotta stay hydrated!
Beer don't hydrate. The body use more water to try to neutral the alcohol than what it give. That's why you want to pee more with alcohol.
It is well established that the ingestion of alcohol is followed by a substantial diuresis and dehydration ensues.
@@alfa-psi Ugh, don't bring science into this...
@@majormoron605 I don't know why my answer got deleted, but it's totally true. Alcohol don't hydrate at all, it's totally the opposite. Your body use more water to neutralizes the alcohol. That's why you need to go at the bathroom more often.
If more people knew this kind of basic thing, the society wouldn’t be so bad...
@@XxKidnoffxX I think most people know this and pretty sure OP was joking
This is one off the most fun and interesting channel I subscribed to in YEARS! Amazing, I can't wait to watch all your games and I learn so much from your commentaries and the 2D board. Thanks so much for your content, and greetings from Amsterdam, the Netherlands!
Almost a MILLION people like you! Your signature is worth something because your presence and passion for the game creates inspiration in so many, and that is priceless! Thank you for sharing 😊
Love your commentary, Anna! Keep it coming.
Anna, even when you don't win a game, you remain gracious, and a class lady. Well done.
It is true, although she was a bit less gracious here than her usual high standard. I think she really wanted to win the game and was disappointed.
I loved the way you presented these games. The v/o helps explain the positions and thoughts, and I learned quite a bit from these games (not least to think about time)
So great of you Anna, to share your wins AND losses. Sharing your chess prowess like no other. This just shows your enviable character and exemplifies the ultimate sportsmanship and humbleness which makes you unique. This brings life's lessons to us all... through chess.
Thanks so much for you!
3:18 I love how Anna refers to herself as the 3rd place in front of her opponent before the match 😄😄
Well, I guess she and her opponent for kind of 3rd equal before the game, with the game being the decider.
Just a fun, casual, conversational remark.
Loved this series, and great to see you playing chess in my home city. Keep up the good work Cramling!
Bro is over there dropping chess pieces, infatuation for her is through the roof lmao.
Hahaha I saw that too
An she was also clearly trying to avoid looking at him as well. Hope the two went for dinner afterwards.

Congratulations on winning 4th! 👏 I love watching your games! And i love how you edit your videos! I love how you find a way to keep things private while your there but having your own commentary over the game! You've definitely made chess very fun to watch! Great content. No too long and it's fun to see you in a relaxed, but still competitive, environment.
"Looking around, smiling, feeling amazing" (ie. Anna was a bit drunk) 🍺
She was smiling cuz she was winning!
@@madquest8Nah, she wasn't. She was smiling because she was slightly tipsy, and happy.

Fantastic! you played so well! defeated only by your own slowness, which you already have as a goal to work on. I love your interest in words and language! and you have the far and away the best incidental music while the game is unfolding. So dramatic! I feel as though I've been drawn into a movie. Anna, I love your videos but I have to say, this one (thumbnail included) seems a little click-baity. There's no angry dad out to avenge his daughter here...
Thank you for the information
Crazy click bait
I don't know why everyone's so mad at her for clickbait. It's youtube, this is how people attract views. It's the business of being a youtuber
@@aspartameindustry I would like to respectfully disagree. I personally am not mad. It was a mild disappointment at most. Also, click-baiting is not the business of UA-camrs categorically. I feel, and I can't imagine I'm alone, that click-baiting is the business of less reputable UA-camrs, which Anna is most certainly NOT. If I saw her channel as ordinary or sub-par, I would roll my eyes and move on. But it's exactly because I see her as being better than that, that I am mildly disappointed. Click-baiting is lying, plain and simple. UA-camrs lie when they don't have good enough content to stand on its on. Anna has excellent content that can easily stand on its own. She doesn't have to stoop to those lower levels. But again, this is hardly the end of the world.
I agree - it would have been just as interesting, but more honest, to have headlined with "I try to avenge his daughter", or similar, because the only 'avenging' she mentions is her feelings about the dad knocking his little girl out of the tournament.
Ouch! The old time bugaboo! Loved the videos of each game Anna!
I'm happy to watch these, and I enjoy listening to you discuss the game! :)
Drinking beer, looking around, you distracted yourself, got too comfortable. Had fun, let your hair down and enjoyed your company. It is not all about winning, but enjoying your life with respectful competition! You are a winner!
Nope. There is only winning. In any competition, winning is one and only goal.
We love that 4th place finisher. She is so cool.
All of your videos are great! More like this would be fantastic!
Her focus drifted. I'm glad she shared the loss. A lesson learned.

nice to see a dad get a polite revenge for his daughter. It might be a nice consolation for her.
Thanks Anna! I think from the positions you reached you should have won this tournament. However it's true that playing faster could raise your chances even more!
And one more thing: Don't think too much about winning just play the positions!
When I played our traditional Blitz tournament (around the 6th of December) I always wanted to win it! When I finally won this tournament once (and the only time) i thought that I'd finish second if I drew the last game (which I did). But it turned out that it was sufficient for winning the tournament! What a pleasant surprise! It would have been even harder had I known that a draw would have secured me the victory in this tournament! That's highly psychological - the pressure under that you'll put yourself! Failure will be programmed in most of those cases!
The italian guy is just happy to be hanging out with Anna.
The chuckle at 0:57 was so awkward 😂 had me lmao

Love how deeply unimpressed you are with the ‘bottle of wine’ and ‘signature’ prizes!
If competition sports were this friendly and relaxed, I wouldn't have been turned off from them when I was a kid.

I enjoyed your so-called Triangle Defense, Anna. I'm going to try that! Muchos gracias😃
Every now and then l watch something like this, have absolutely no concept of what I’m seeing, but I watch it anyway.
11:33 I play The Pirc and similar styles with black a lot. Usually the computer says putting the king in the corner is safest, even though it looks silly. It prevents harsh pins.
I always told my children when they were learning to play that they really have to focus when board control shifts to your opponent. That's when we tend to start gambling.
It appeared you had him until you gave up your first bishop and it didn't really look like that weak of exchange.
That what I liked about chess not the exchange of pieces but the subtle change of power and what I could learn from my defeats and sometimes wins.
