Then I realized she was toying with him. But in a match? Then the comment on them being siblings made sense for me. Gee. Love these kids!
I was wondering why, out of the entire game, she took that long to pick which piece to promote to. I didn't even realize he was holding those other pieces hostage. WOW!!! Amazing to watch them play! Also, I didn't know she was a sibling, but the moniker "Alice" make sense, now. 😮
When I started learning chess, I forced myself to learn how to checkmate with two bishops. It's one of the most elegant checkmates. I was following her every step of the way! You basically lure the king into one of two edges and then "zigzag" the two bishops to bring the king to the corner. Very useful checkmate!
My method usually involves centralizing the two bishops & king In the center of the board & then slowly pushing the king back to one of the edges. After that same thing - force the king into a corner & DON’T STALEMATE 😂

The final step is beautiful, “king swaps position with bishop”, followed by check and then checkmate.
This was amazing. They have both quite a good and pure character and absolute harmless hilarious banter, beyond being great chess players. She even helps his king escape there near the end XD. Amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Kids do this all the time. My guess is they already know thw next 2 moves so they get distracted. I mean Magnus always stood up to stroll around during the game.

That was the best booger picking game I ever saw its getting to where a guy can't even dig for a ripe one without cameras seeing you do the glance and under table deposit. You know when someone's high class he didn't even consider eating it. Just having some fun these kids are great and VERY smart.
In final few steps Alice lovely sneakering is so cute🤣🤣🤣. Smiling Tweedledee tried some trick one piece but caught by smiling Alice😂😂😂😂。 They were so funny👏👏👏❤👍🤣

Essentially your supposed to swing your bishops far away while controlling the squares the king wants to escape on, as a waiting move. Then your supposed to checkmate in the corner not on the knight file. Its actually kind of incredible how she did it but definitely not good technique
Yup, close exit routes with one and checkmate with the other, but you need a piece covering the close up bishop, otherwise the king can just just take it.

The real winner here was the picked nose, licked fingers, fingers in eyes, ears and mouth, wet chess pieces, funny facial expressions and everything that we love about kids. Most importantly great chess players.
He had the queen and rook I believe in his hand, being silly or mischievous so she beat her brother another way, really fun to watch these two have fun.
I've seen her few time when pawn reaches the conversation point, she picks bishop or knight instead of queen when she plays with her bros (and laugh with her superiority in the game and to cheer her bros). Love it :)

Tweedledee has a twin brother, I don't know if this girl is his sister but when he plays with his twin brother, I only know who is who when he starts picking boogers out of his nose, then it's easy to identify him. This boy is a genius. In this particular chess match it looks like they were both in "Alice in Wonderland" 😅😂😊
It's even cuter than that. Go back a few seconds. The boy touched his king to move it and then when he goes to move another piece he pulls back realizing it's touch move. He looks up at his sister distraught and she nods back to allow him to move another piece and play off the king touch as an adjustment. She's being very kind!
In almost all videos of children under 10 playing chess has this phenomenon.. they look more at what's happening around them than at the board, but it's not like they don't care about the game, It's just that unlike pre-teens, teens and adults, they don't seem to be affected by the pressure of winning or losing, even though they want to win. That's really amazing!
It's interesting, there's a seemingly small set of activities that kids can quickly master. A lot of the skill in chess, up to a certain level, is excellent memory, excellent visualization skills, and rapid calculation, that's something talented young children can do. They don't need to memorize endless opening lines, though that helps, if they can simply see the right move based on a sufficient number of games, "intuition" and incomprehensible ( to me) calculating speed. I would also assume young children could be excellent computer programmers, and some probably are ( I taught myself programming when I was 13 or so, with nary an adult to assist, by reading books and trying stuff...but I am a very weak chess player in spite of probably having played over 1000 games.)
...glad to know they have a healthy outlet for being related, the way the match went makes much more sense with that information. Prayers to all of all of those and all kiddos. (...making the game good is truly the only way to actually "win".,...)

The entire endgame made me more nervous than I was ever before in my entire life.
