- Today, we just have a run of The Sunless Cell in Nightfall mode with my team's live voice commentary. Nightfall is 280 light recommended and now only counts once per week per account as opposed to character. It no longer kicks to orbit, but raid death rules are in effect.

you can say that about the first version of almost any new game series except in this case we didn't have to wait for destiny 2 for them to fix things.
Best damn beta I ever played...
Never payed 100€ for a beta before. But the 'new economy' is just tailored to a) exclude all who did not buy TTK and b) bully them into buying TTK by leaving them with one lvl20 strikelist and 3 crucible mixed modes. We can still do VoG,CE and PoE. Replay value is zero now. I can still play Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare without any restrictions and they added multiple gamemodes to the game for free. EA > Activi$ion! Who would have thought!?

Me and my 2 clanmates did this and we were all under 250, , took about 2 hours. Felt like a raid with all our wipes and re-analysis of our many strategies, then we finally got to Darkblade, killed him first try, and I get... 14 Strange Coins... fml

Hey Datto, i found an interesting thing in the dreadnought. There's a chest, and it's surrounded by an area that kills you if you stand in it. The chest takes about 10 seconds to open, so the area damage, taken consumption, kills you before you can open it. But if you Titan Ward of dawn the chest, with armor of light buff, you can survive long enough to open it. It gives you one of the fragments for eris.i haven't seen anyone post vids about it yet, so hey, free content. To find it, go from the court of oryx platform, going right, it's in a door on the left side and through some tunnels. It's not the chest of akka, it's past that. Hope this helps you. Keep doing what you're doing, you're the main channel I keep tabs on for destiny. Top quality

Actually, the intended way to open that chest is to get an artifact from a major taken wizard that spawns in front in the Court of Oryx and take that artifact all the way back to the chest: it will let you walk and stand in that black goo without taking damage, allowing you to open the chest safely (it works for your friends too, if they are very close to you).

Sunless cell is such a fun strike. Darkblade comes at you hard and sp00ky like.
This had to be the most fun i have had in a nightfall for quite some time.. I was running it with a 275 and a 258 whilst i was 286, took us about an hour and a couple of wipes but it was fun actually communicating about a strategy rather than blitzing through it.
I miss this Destiny a lot.

If you are under leveled this is one of the most intense night falls there is. So fun!
We did it with a 281, 274 and a 270. We only wiped at the boss once, and I think it was the LFG guy lagging that caused it. You can def do it before hitting 280 and it's really fun. Use the small arms buff often, equip a good void sniper/fusion rifle if you have one, and take cover often and it can be done in time. LFG dude got Year 2 Ruin Wings, I got a 297 Legendary Helm, and friend got a 297 machine gun he already had. Good luck guardians!

I nearly broke my controller playing this strike for the first time. My fireteam and I jumped down into the darkness with not the slightest of clues as to what was going to happen. I was just walking about trying to see then I threw a solar grenade on the ground to see something. And at the same time ink threw a grenade he came out of nowhere and swung his axe at me! Shit myself severely! Dropped my controller, head set flew off. Whilst I could hear my friends through my tv (because my headset was off due to my controller turning off) like "wtf happened to hi.....HOLY SHIT!!!"

Ran it at around 260 light with two friends and got through with no wipes so if you're around that light level there shouldn't be any real trouble.
This was a pretty easy nightfall I felt. Probably helped that I accidentally found a chess when I landed on one of the pillars in the arena and got stuck. My friends got Alchemist Raiment and The Impossible machines, while I just got some purple helmet.

Datto I'm on 360 and my fireteam got the worst rewards (all of my year 1 rewards were all better). No one got any exotics (I got the best reward and it was a legendary bond). Same with last week. So my question to you is. Did they lower the drop rate or nightfalls?
I've wondered why there aren't any taken fallen or vex on the dreadnought and just cabal and hive instead.

you can do nightfall on multiple characters still. got hawkmoon on titan and suros on hunter

So I don't enough light to even kill an enemy in the nightfall. What do you get after finishing the nightfall, besides the usual rewards? Do you still get the radiant light for the extra exp bonus? And since it's once per account only, do all of your characters get the buff after completing it on one character?

Hey Datto, I just did this on my Titan (did it on my hunter first) and I got a purple from the strike rewards. I think you can still get it per character per week. When I selected it from my directory it was still saying unknown rewards for it despite what you said about it being 1x per week across all characters.
I spent longer in the room with all the shriekers in then the actual boss fight
But don't worry, I got a 308 vanguard cell for my efforts. yay

I kinda hope in the next big dlc bungee adds a pvp free roam gameplay for a new planet or something, so you are fighting to get good loot but you need 3 people and you can run into other players at any time.

i love the concept of the darkblade boss, but i feel like it needs some changes, the boss is not a danger at all in the first half of the fight and even in the second haf he's not that bad.
There's a problem. If he attacks and it only takes away some of your health, he's weak. If he insta-kills you, he's strong. I guess they decided to go with the first choice.
Noob the lower damage would be fine if he attacked faster.
I was thinking the same thing. However, the nightfall debuffs made it very good. If you jumped, you would practically be fucked. Although, as someone else said, it would be stupid if he one shit you. Maybe a debuff gets applied just like Weight of Darkness? That would be good but maybe you don't run as slow as with WoD, just the double jump debuff. And the only way get rid of said debuff is to stay in the middle. And forget that "spawning on top of a player" bullshit... Maybe he could just run to the centre at different direction and disappear when he takes enough damage, just like what he does now but more linear. He would run like what he does in the second half of the fight and disappears when he takes X amount of damage.

I did this nightfall in like 30mins. Bad reward. All I want is the dam Darkblade helmet for titan. Ive done the normal version exactly 38 times grinding getting one done every 12 minutes and NO FREAKING HELMET. ONE GUY JOINS AT THE END AND GETS IT, PISS OFF. I've even used 10 three of coins and got 3 exotic engrams. But no helmet.

I've not had 1 exotic from Nightfall yet on any of my 3 characters. Got 11 strange coins and a legendary primary weapon. It's a joke.

I just realized... Most, if not all the good or pro players in Destiny are literally just noobs with better gear and some level knowledge. This guy is supposed to be one of those "pros", yet he misses half his mag trying to score a headshot and uses a fusion rifle when his scout does far more. I rest my case.

Yeah man, I had already hit rank 5 with Eris and had an antiquated rune in my inventory. I have no idea why RNG saw that as an appropriate reward.

Hey Datto. What about Bungies asshat move to lock nonTTK buyers from most of the content they bought? Planed obsolesence and artifical scarcity are the name of the game! They want to pressure us into buying TTK with bullying tactics like ONE lvl 20 strikelist, nothing to buy at the vendors and no means to do heroics. You can't even select a lightlevel of missions and strikes on the map! We only have VoG and CE left because they did not yet change the loot tables. But I guess you will not bite the hand that feeds you, even if only indirect. No more nice days at Bungie headquaters would be hard. Have a good life as one of Bungies tools.

Im stuck with levelling, im at like 288 light and just stuck, can't seem to get any better drops nor rewards from quests, I did the nightfall and got a worse autorifle. Was so annoyed. Ive basically done all the story quests I can, crucible ones seem to just be tutorial stuff and the new exotic shotgun thing but im stuck on that now to because of the final step. Anyone have tips to get past 290 light and near 300. I want to also do the Rank 3 Court of Oryx event but can't.

infuse doesn't let you have stronger stuff. but letting you level up your favorite weapons if they don't have a high attack level
