Absolutely. His exclusion is a black eye on the HOF. Larry Brown, Gary Clark, Don Warren (best blocking tight end in league history hands down) and Dave Butz as well. Butz and Warren seem like outlandish choices to some and will never get even a marginal glance from that committee but they were HUGE pieces of the success those great teams enjoyed and as dominant in their own quiet way as any players of that time.

This year was pretty much it for the Washington Redskins. They haven't been in a Conference Championship game since 91 and haven't even won a playoff game in almost 20 years.

The 1991 Redskins are the best football team I ever saw. They had no weaknesses and no egos. Just a perfect storm of young and old talent, harnessed by arguably the greatest coach of all time in Joe Gibbs. They could beat you any number of ways. Don’t get me wrong, the 89 Niners, 78 Steelers, 85 Bears, 73 dolphins and ‘66 Packers belong in that conversation too. But I think if any of those teams play the 91 Redskins seven times the Redskins win 4.

The redskins came into this game still thinking about evening the score for the "body bag game", that happened a year earlier on a Monday night.
