Her drive and never-give-up attitude are inspirational. Her wanting to grow the sport suggests she is an excellent flat track ambassador. I hope she achieves her dream of winning a championship.
I was at the 2019 Sacramento Mile and witnessed Shayna's win. Thank you Shayna for helping to grow the sport. Thank you to all sponsors and promotors for supporting the sport. I promise to support you.
I love flat track and I have been a fan for a long time going back to the days of Roberts and Springsteen. But now Shayna, she is something really special and brings new life to the best racing ever. Thank you, Paul E Dulin from Texas.
This is great. She is amazing and her boy friend Briar won the grand national championship. What a couple. Jared and Nicole are an awesome couple too. Thanks for all you do for flat track racing. To all the riders and folks involved in the sport 👍🏻😎
What a terrific woman and story of fortitude passed down. Thanks for keeping us proud of the sport and you! Your smoothness and track savvy is unparalleled All riders can't win, because winners won't quit "Womanup" is your story.
I had no idea she is the winningest singles rider ever. Coming from 5th at Springfield,at the white flag, to first at the checkered flag is a Dale Earnhardt move on 2 wheels. Go get that championship Shayna.
Is there a full documentary about her Red Bull career? Because I'd like to know when her financial system turned around, and when they spotted her and helped her. Her story is an obvious movie script that Hollywood should pickup right now. It's such an inspiration, and to know she had to deal with her father's loss too.
Great to see a true RIDER !!! It really don't matter Man or Woman just Guts, Skill and the want to WIN that's all that matters. Flat Track has been the real true core of motorcycle racing from the very start.
I thought that this must be a lame ass sport. I mean it's just a flat track? What's the point. After watching that first race... I couldn't close my mouth. That shit is crazy fast.
Props to you.... Originally from South Africa, a close friend used to race sprint cars and he raced a bit in the USA....we used to go to night racing and another close friend raced flat track.....huge respect!
Wow thank you for not giving up. You could of said no. You Could’ve said I don’t have my dad or my grandpa but will you loaded everything up and went to Knoxville Iowa and you won. And now You are here and you’re not going away if you think you can win a championship you will because you can I know you’ve been training at the Baker factory. Continue the program is proven just like yours always continue to grow just like your grandma said it’s all that matters. Thank you for just being you add cheer for you at 2014 TIR Tucson Arizona thank you for coming all the way out that’s far just for a dirtbike race thank you again
My uncle used to race Harley Davidson flat track. He passed away 8-22-21, and then exactly 2 months to the day, 10-22-21, my mom passed away. Rest easy both of you. You're both sincerely missed.
This has got me pumped to give this a go. Not sure how big it is here in New Zealand but I'm sure videos like this and athletes like Shayna is only going to spread the word.
Well done and congrats on the success, that's what it looks like when lots of talent, determination and hard work all come together. She is one hell of a racer
John, I don't mean to be harsh, but just because someone 'dislikes' a video doesn't mean they are disrespecting the individual who the story is about. Quite often it is about not wanting UA-cam to 'suggest' this type of video category. Get it? Understand? Now stop being an idiot! ( calm down, just kidding)
Wow she is a badass! I was a pro motocross and seen woman racers that where badass but just didn’t have what it took to be a fast pro. But this girl has figured it out! How cool is that
OMG..Grandview Speedway!!! I used to get cycle work done down the road right behind the track "West Cycles" he was the mechanic for independant Flat Trackers..Bultaco's and the last I saw was a Honda v4? He's is/was a vary great guy. I bought a Hushy 504 fore stroke from him .
In some racing venues they spend millions of dollars to protect racers from hitting a solid object like a reinforced wall or pole. They pad it, put up tires, foam walls, rubber barriers, water barrels, shock absorbing materials of all kinds. I noticed when they were racing on the Sacramento track, the barriers on the straights were just steel bars. Sure they put up a few hay bales and plywood on the corners, but if anyone lost it on the straights and went off to the outside of the track....it would be a meat grinder. Yet, that doesn't slow her or the other racers down a bit. There's so much more to this sport than meets the eye. What's inside is what really count.
Not only is she a fine looking young lady but she's and her brother are both one hell of a racers also.much respect to her in a much male dominated sport for sure.love watching her race..haha and good old Knoxville raceway.my good old one track.the grand daddy for sprints.crazy how airodynanamics and drafting are such a big thing in flat tracking bikes.love watching it
I raced in 1968 on the 1/4 mile in Flint, Michigan against the best 250 cc riders in the country (Bart Markel and Charlie Chapel). Now 75 and loaded with cynicism about DEI and women's entitlement ... I can say with knowledge and authority that Flat Track is a sport where women can compete with men on even footing. In fact most have a weight advantage. Just know that on the final lap in turn three at 70mph you might get your front tire taken out by the rear tire of another rider (man or woman) and you better not cry or whine in the pit. It's balls, not estrogen that makes a winner (man or woman).
A heartwarming moment when Shayna says she realised she's just been the first woman to win a US National singles major flat track event. But I that started me thinking.. I'm struggling to think of another sport on the entire planet where a woman can duke it out toe to toe with men on an equal footing...and beat the best of them. 🤔🤔 Faaaaaan-bloody-tastic! What a tiger.. 👍 👌
I'm so glad I got to see this video . I knew nothing of her . But I do now . She's got my respect 100% . I stopped watching NASCAR because they were overpaid babies that could drive a lick . That's you can drive in this sport you don't have any business being there and she's one of the best I've ever seen.
@@mtpocketswoodenickle2637 that would be very interesting. She'd be deadly on long track. That light weight and her riding style would suit. Elsewhere she would still be dealing with the lower upper body strength, but some small fast folk have done well on short tracks.
Her drive and never-give-up attitude are inspirational. Her wanting to grow the sport suggests she is an excellent flat track ambassador. I hope she achieves her dream of winning a championship.
I second this comment
👍👍👍😜🦄🏴🎣😁🤞✌️

American flat track is hard core meat and potatoes racing.
This is one of the best stories ever!
I love flat track and I have been a fan for a long time going back to the days of Roberts and Springsteen. But now Shayna, she is something really special and brings new life to the best racing ever. Thank you, Paul E Dulin from Texas.

Win or lose, just being in the mix is something to speak of. Nothing but admiration and respect for this young lady.

THIS is motorcycle racing at it’s purest and best! Go girl!!!
I raced flat track locally for two years and it's by far the scariest fucken game out there.
The "33" people that don't like this video are the guys that can't out ride her! Face it boys, she's a better racer!!!
What a pure talent.
You’ve got the skills and the drive. Put the discipline to work and get what’s yours.
Seen her race twice and she’s freakin amazing 🇺🇸

Tough, patient, crafty, and light. Truth wins.
All I have to say is she is AMAZING. no she's better than amazing. there is no word to describe her. I want to be just like her.

She has Dani's problem of being too small at times. The TTs really hurt her, and I hope she finds a way around that.
Jp Kalishek .
Maybe she should try Speedway bikes!

Jp Kalishek. It's taken 48 hours to see a thumbs up.
I think she'd do well!
I loved the TT's when racing. Turn on the gas, down the hill and hit the brakes...that's what they are for and back on the throttle!
@@mtpocketswoodenickle2637 I'm only 5 foot and back in my race days was barely 100 lbs. You can fly that way...throttle on and twist the bars!
incredible video
