I can’t think of a more badass form of Motorsports. 3 wide most corners, constant lead changes at least in the first race. And to top it off a flag man that stands mid track looking like he’s going to give high 5s to the riders. This series deserves more viewers and attention.
I think street motorcycle racing is the most pure form of the sport. Single lane blacktop when traffic is at a low. The ability to ride fast and not crash on blacktop without having memorized the course nor repeating laps makes it the best sport. Isle of Mann TT comes to mind even though it's a closed course with a 3 lap duration. Better yet the many roads I loved racing on in Suffolk County Long Island with my 1976 Triumph Bonneville T140V which was undefeated and retired in 1992. Just enough power and the best handling and a light weight proved undefeatable for anything from Japan for 16 consecutive years. I still have my Triumph even though I stopped racing in 1992 because I had a new family to be a father for. - Peter age 74
@@PeterDad60Undefeated for 16 years. Right. That's pretty funny. What organization was this? A stock framed Triumph T140, at least it was a 5 speed. You're comparing it to Pro Flat track? And the Isle of Man? That's real funny or real delusional, one or the other. Id bet that others remember differently. I don't recall any articles in Cycle News, or any results, and I've been reading Cycle News since before then.
Doesn't mean a thing since they banned 2-strokes. These aren't the fastest. These are overpriced, overweight, under-powered boat-anchors. A framer with a Yamaha TZ250 250cc 2-stroke twin could easily beat a 750cc Indian or Harley as Dominic Monaco showed on the Sacramento mile track a few years back. Bring back 2-strokes.
It is so the racers can see the flag. Hard to describe how difficult it is to focus on anything going 100+ MPH on a dirt track at night, with no tear offs left and your face covered in dirt, guys to your left and right within inches, all depending on each other for their lives. If the flag was in the stands they would never see it.
@@andrewterry8092 Not to mention the level of dust at most tracks. It really isn't a big deal though By that time of the race the race line is pretty well known and the flagman is well off the path of travel. Back in the 70's there was a flagman that went by the name of Bouncing Bob he would do cartwheels and other gymnastic moves at the finish. It was great fun to watch and it never caused an issue. By the end of the race it was all well known as to where everyone was going to be.

FACT!
Much better than Nascar and NHRA drag racing.
Sadly the stands were virtually empty.
Yeah . Bad ass.. clown
This really is one of the best forms of motorcycle racing. Fast, close, clean, strategic. And it's in no way easy to do.

P.S. I did Flat Track one summer with my Triumph and a little Motorcross as well.

Wow just Wow great racing Love flat track
Constant lead changes from the outside, inside, in-line. Amazing. Meese is an animal among animals.
That’s the best one I’ve seen yet. Intense
greatest of all racing to me dirt track ballet!
Holy cow!! Those singles boys were close at the flag and 99% of the race for that matter! Badass race boys that's what we call that!
Ralph Sheheen is one of the best announcers ever. I wish we heard him call more sprint car races.
He's a total pain in the arse.. Ruins the race by his childish shouting
You don't know who's racing what bike, or who are they racing for, the announcer is rubbish.
That was some damn good racing right there!👏👍🧙♂️
See Meese still on top of the mile!
He still has 5hp advantage on the field. Unless AFT puts the "old" restrictor in place he will probably run the table on the miles.
That's what I'm talking about for the supercross class. Pack racing and bar to bar for 8 minutes or less and no B.S. Wonderful.😊
Now that's some racing.
Kody Kopp with a helluva ride.🏁🇺🇸🏁👍
Wish you didn’t need a fairly expensive subscription to watch AFT. Love the sport!
Thank you. FLO
Awesome 450 Race. Way to go #19 James Ott!!!
Exciting racing that had me on the edge of my seat! I just subscribed! Keep it coming! Great racing!
Ah yes good times big half mile just like Sacramento mile God I love it ride safe boys
I'm used to watching the old San Jose Mile. Gotta say, the DuQuoin track is a lot looser than I remember the SJ Mile. Still great racing.
Wow!
These guys are going crazy fast ,don’t need announcer to present that to me .
HOLY SHIT
Problem not issue. Issues are magazines and newspapers, not problems
While Motocross is a great sport, fans of the sport truly don’t know what they’re missing until they go to a flat track event!
On the mile tracks those bikes doing a
buck thirty plus for the super twins.
These riders have
ball's as big as their helmets !
Kody Kopp is incredible, luck is just a byproduct.
Explain the caution, and how Copp got back into the lead lap? He was lapped.
🙏 A COMPLETE RESTART IF THE RED COMES OUT BEFORE THE THIRD LAP THERE WAS A PIECE OF DEBRIS ON THE TRACK GOD BLESS 🙏😎 OGWILDWOODIE55Y 😎😇🤪
UMM. Looked like Kopp in that slow-mo!
Am I seeing things or are the stands mostly empty?
Jared Mees is going to MAKE any rider earn the crown from him.
Red flag means it all starts over from the position you were in, so Kopp started last, but on the same lap.
Where are the big bikes??
I wonder how a TZ750 would fare today..
Wow how fast are they going anyone know ?
1/1000th second, like it should be fellas!
🙏😎BADASD😎 HAMMER DOWN TO THE FRONT BABY 😎 OGWILDWOODIE55Y 😎😇🤪
how can they have grip
👍👍
How about we just watch ?

When was that race?
Why stand on the track ??????
Way to much vocal input
Tell the announcer to calm down a bit. He's ridiculous
Why on Earth do the officials need to stand on the track? Jesus they do some dumb shit in US racing

WAY better than Mission king of the Baggers. If I am watching MC racing, its either short track, real road racing, Dirt track is sick too.
