Terrain:The route is a mix of rural paths, small villages, and some forested areas. You will encounter both paved and unpaved roads, with some elevation gain, especially towards Rubiães. There are some challenging sections, particularly as you approach Alto da Portela Grande, where the ascent can be steep.
Key Points Along the Way:
1. Casa de Fernanda: A well-known albergue and starting point with warm hospitality. Make sure to enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting out.
2. Ponte de Lima: About halfway through, this is a picturesque medieval town with a beautiful Roman bridge. It’s a great place to stop for lunch and explore briefly.
