O trilho dos pescadores!! I did half of it back in 2016 (almost 10 years have passed already, wow!!), and your video brought me back memories of these magical places! The strong and constant wind, the shoes full of sand, the high contrasts in colours (and temperatures!), the cheap beers at the end of the day, the bus drivers who drove like crazy to reach the first town and to come back to Lisbon. Thank you for sharing your experience!
Exactly this! I was (sort of) lucky with the weather, had a lof of cloud cover and quite some rain. At first I didn't like it but when I arrived in Lagos when the weather got tropical I couldn't imagine myself walking in the heat! Ps. I also had a very interesting bus ride to the South... the driver basically was on the phone 99% off the time and made so many gestures during his conversations that he didn't hold the steering wheel most of the time.. 😨
I absolutely love Portugal. My favourite place on Earth! Check out the north as well. Wonderful filming and great adventure. Welcome back and stay safe!
Absolutely amazing compilation, Outstanding adventure nice and relaxing. Thanks for sharing your wonderful adventure, stay safe.Take care, stay safe😊🤙🤙
Great video - you've inspired me to do it in October this year. So far I've walked from the Spanish border at Vila Real de Santo Antonio to Cape St Vincent so the complete southern coastline of Portugal - time to do the west coast !! 🙂
@@WheelstoWander Yes, just completed - such an amazing adventure - mainly wild camping and camp sites over 8 days. Thank you for the inspiration - wouldn't have happened without your video !!
That looked like a very good and beautifuo trail to walk, along the coast! Portugal is such a nice country. 😊 Glad you are still adventuring like this. 🙂
Liefs, Maudi
Lovely video, I’m a seventy one year old life hiker. Hiked three days on this trail last September. Never far from little towns so no real need to carry a heavy pack. A few hours on the canal trail today so reminded me of all your super bike packing videos. Well done and happy trails.
Hi Maudi. Great to see you back on an adventure. Your Tajikistan video is my favorite UA-cam vlog of all time. Your cinematography art is superb. Keep creating content for the world to enjoy. Cheers!
How cool to put on your hiking boots again and go out all alone and encounter yourself and the natural beautiful surroundings. Respect! Greetings Steven
Hello Maudi, to be honest, I was very happy that you two were still together. Funny, I don't really know you. But it was like that. At the end of the last bike trip you said different things and it sounded like you had enough of cycling. The summit had been reached, it couldn't be more beautiful, more exculsive, more exotic. I thought so too. That's why your hike is authentic. My feeling is that Eric prefers cycling to running. Is that right? I think the landscape in your hike is fantastic. I've been to this area before and you captured it beautifully. Thanks. Many greetings to you both from Bernhard
Hi Bernhard! 😊 Morocco, especially the Sahara part, was a big highlight for us and hard to top! We absolutely don't have enough of cycling, although it's good to take a long pause sometimes which we are doing now... It can take a while before we will be posting regularly again, but new ideas are already brewing! Ps. Eric loves hiking too but my guess is that he prefers cycling! 😉 Hope you're doing well!
Hi Maudi. Such a coincedence. We, Lucie and I hiked a part of the Fishermanstrail in september-october 2022. Enjoyed it very much. Recognized a lot of spots. Beautiful. Great to do this on your own. And as usual, great camerawork. Wish you all the best. Henk and Lucie.
Thank you both 🙏 It is definitely a wonderful trail from beginning to the end... How was the weather and amount of people on the trail around that time?
Oh Maudi! You should have told me and I would have jumped in the first balloon and, given the favourable winds, I could have accompanied you for a while! Beautiful lights and what a breath of fresh air! There's nothing like a short getaway that counts as double in memories^^ I wish you both a freewheeling summer, where dreams and reality blend lightly^^ Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful video. I did the same solo hike last March. One of the most gorgeous hikes, right. I loved it and blogged mine. I’d like to one day vlog instead but it’s so much work and then people like you do a much better job of it than I ever could! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 😊 We had to start in the beginning too with vlogging and it is still awkward at times. It is some work but very rewarding. Give it a try and have fun with it. All the best!!
@@ОцеУсе i didn’t only because there’s inexpensive hostels and other portions and wanted to enjoy a light pack for a change, but totally doable i would think, especially if you pitch early and leave early.Didn’t see any signs against it.
That was wonderful! Nice to see you back on the channel! I was wondering where were you because the last video was just Eric, glad you went on your own adventure. Cheers
Absolutely amazing nice sound .thanks for sharing your adventure. Guys I recommended you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place moses peak. Add this sound moses peak in your bucket list.
I really enjoy your videos. They are very well done, and I especially like the music that you use. I find the music to be very evocative and it really enhances the visual experience.😉😉
Nice to see you back, and on my country to top it! Last Christmas I wanted to do a similair route with my bike through the coast, but starting in Lisbon and finishing in the border with Spain in the south. Unfortunately it wasnt possible in the end. I never heard about this Fishermans trail. The path you did is ok to bike? Does it follow (partly) the eurovelo 1?
Thanks 😊 It is a hiking path only I believe with lot's of sand. Perhaps some parts are open to cyclists. I would check online to try and find some more info. All the best!!
I walked from Faro airport to Lagos in February this year. Thankfully the weather was great every day. I did not bring a tent and so got bitten very badly. I would like to try this trail but will add the tent 😅. Thanks
I walked the fisherman's train twice 2022 & 2023....had the same problem sand in shoes & blisters....can remember the roar of the Atlantic ocean even on calm days... recommended walking
I am really interested in doing a section of the fisherman's trail however transport getting to the start/finish seems difficult. How did you get to/from the start/finish point please from/to the airport? Thank you
Merrell Trail Glove 7, not completely barefoot but zero drop and relatively low cushioning. They also a good grippy thread. I did get blisters but that's because my gaiters didn't really work all that well so I collected a lot of sand... Overall recommended!
Oh my god, what an adventorous woman you are! Walking with such a heavy rucksack along such paths.... You´ve got my full admiration!
Thank you, the trail wasn't too difficult! I would recommend it for people just starting out with hiking 🙃
