The time has come. Honestly I didn’t understand her fight at all the first time I played and thought everything felt cheap. I grew to love her fight every playthrough and probably have fought her well over 2000 times now. She can be super flowy and just fun fast paced. One thing that made her fight much more fun is learning how to dodge her move up close without light roll or bloodhound step. Now to me the move I felt was cheap was now something I look forward to dodging and I’m sad when she doesn’t do it. A lot of the time she won’t do it in the second phase for me if I’m doing too much damage. But anyway I’m glad you aren’t complaining and learning how to deal with her. I’m also glad you didn’t blow through her on the first two attempts and didn’t get an actual feel for her fight like a lot of people do. Hopefully it doesn’t take you another 4 hours but hey I’ve seen her take a week for some people that are very good at the game. We are in the end game now.

The most impressive thing about this gameplay video is how you keep your cool despite the torrent of attacks and losses 🤣🤣 - im usually swearing my ass off after every defeat haha - you're bad ass
Fun fact. You can dodge her water fowl dance reliably at any range. For mid to long range just don't get to aggressive after 80-70%. For close to long range attack simply running, and jump to avoid the first flurry. The second can be dodged into and the third can be avoided by positioning yourself away from her, she can air step left or right so you'll have to be ready to roll if your not familiar with her tempo. For close range simply circling her will through off her first flurry and the second can then be dogged and third as well. If none of this sounds viable the Haligtree shield you picked up can be your best friend for this fight. Add a good ash of war/good stamina and you will survive it with stamina to spare. But she will get some health back from this method. While I am at it. Do NOT use your spirit ashes too early in her fight that is just free hp for her unless you can reliably keep her attention on you and not your spirit ash. The first phase of the fight would preferably go smoother alone. And while I am at it you might benefit from a stronger spirit ash summon, Finlay and Tiche are good ones. Finlay can cast a healing buff on you and Tiche can use her black knife to sap away Malenia's health. Lastly you can knock her out of the water fowl dance by throwing frozen projectiles at her when she jumps up before the dance. If you time this right you can reliable hard counter the dance. Good luck Tarnished warrior. And may your dance with the goddess be legendary.
Not at any range. There’s a pocket where if she starts it up you don’t have enough time to run up close to her and dodge it or run away and dodge. It’s mediumish range. If you are outside that it’s easy to run away and then back through for the last one. If you are up close it takes time to learn how to dodge it circling around her but I can do it consistently now. But there is that pocket where if I’m at I can’t do either with. It’s the death pocket. Or get lucky and survive barely pocket.

You can't wear the same kind of talismans, only one of those three is possible to use.
@@suchar7175 Ah, thanks. Dammit.
It only took me 2 goes lmao. I beat her using the holy scythe.
I don't know what happened. I really enjoyed the DS series, bloodborne etc. I just couldn't get into this one. I made two attempts and finally abandoned it.
twinblade with bleeding is the best wepaon vs malenia
I have never beaten Malenia Alone :( just with invocations
30:45 With the exception of the Scarlet Rot buildup in phase 2 Malenia all of her damage is physical of the slash, standard and piercing types.
I have beaten her in less than 10 tries, but I was using the Mimic and Rivers of Blood.
It took my 4 times to best her. Just half to have the proper set up
That would have to be a world record if true, what setup did you use?
@@oxalypsegaming545 I rivers of blood, can't remember right off what talismans I used cause it's been a long time since my playthrough 1.
I am Terry, cooker of fried rice.
