This video made a grown man smile. Thank you for brightening up my day and Congratulations Theo Baker
This is the motivation many people may need for rehabilitation!
title says enough tbh fair play Theo
I’m surprised they managed to fit that medal around the circumference of your massive head Theo
@@harl4227 bruh
The fact your out there 6 months after surgery Theo is a feat of its own! So incredible to see how far you’ve come!
You probably don't remember but I saw you outside the tube stop after the marathon and gave you a quick congrats for completing it as I didn't want to bother you. This is an amazing achievement mate, great stuff!
immaculate timing. just going to sleep and running my first marathon tomorrow. unreal work!
Good luck my friend
Best of luck mate
Im 23 years old and had acl and meniscus surgery after playing competitive sports for over 5 years. I’m currently 2 weeks into recovery and the progress is slow and painful, nothing like I had expected it to be. Being so dependent on the people around you makes you so grateful for those who care about you and for the independence you normally have. It’s crazy how much I can relate to you and how motivating it is for me to watch you go through this and make it through like you did. Expected recovery is 8 to 12 months, it’s scary to think about it now and to think about all the difficult times to come during recovery. But watching this makes me want to do the “walk with me” (50km for charity) I did just over a year ago so badly again and I hope to walk it in 2024, that’s now my goal and I hope, that I, just like yourself, will be able to make it happen. Thanks Theo for the motivation and congratulations on the amazing achievement. I hope you play again in the sidemen charity match which I watched you play live last time. Keep up the hard work and best wishes for your future football days!
Thanks for the like Theo! 💪🏼
I’ve just turned 15 and currently 3 months after having an acl reconstruction and meniscus repair. I remember tearing it at 14 and crying for a long time because it seemed like I would never play sport again. For the first 6 weeks it was very painful but slowing I’m starting to make a slow return back to football. If I was to give 1 bit of advice even though I’m a lot younger than you would be to not give up, there will be times when it feels like progress is minimal but you will get there eventually 💪
my ex had ACL surgery a couple years back and within a year was back to playing college ball within a year, you'll get there in no time! trust the process and make sure to take care of your mental health throughout, jumping over psychological barriers was her biggest hurdle. best of luck with your recovery!!
@Alexalex681 you've got a great attitude about it all mate, good luck in your recovery, you're gonna go far in life!
Thanks for the kind and motivating comments guys! I’m currently on a single crutch, nearly able to get rid of it too already! Hope to be doing sports in August! 🎉
Theo is such an inspiration - love from Stuttgart Germany
A pleasure to help tell this story
the GOAT
Dunno why. Mikel’s kindness towards Theo by genuinely asking him what’s up with his hip made me smile.
Had ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair in October, I’m now training to do a marathon by next October. This vid really motivated to keep pushing and do it!! Also yea that first run after not being able to run for like 4 months hit different, very emotional. Appreciate you Theo
Wishing you all the best in your recovery and marathon!! I tore my meniscus playing football last year and it can be such a tedious and lonely journey
Killer.. had to come back after the knock in the match… hope you feel better soon really heart breaking but rooting for you!
Love the way he structured this video going back and forth from recovery to the race. Beautifully done and good work recovering Theo!
This made me cry. You’re such a big inspiration Theo and the fact that you kept going is amazing. Can’t wait to see you back on the pitch
I cry at 2 sporting events. The lifting of the Stanley Cup and Theo running a marathon 6 months after his surgery. Great job. bud!
love the video theo keep up the good work. I had a similar thing where after hernia surgery the doctor said I would be back playing football in 8 weeks whereas it actually took 6 months, it's annoying when doctors put that in your head, but at least gotta be grateful that I had the surgery.
Currently 5 months into post-surgery rehab. I'll be a long way off doing a marathon next month but I am motivated to get there
The intro alone desired a like 🤣
Well done mate. Great journey. Training for the marathon myself now after coming back from injury

I can safely say that was one of the best videos I've ever watched. Inspiring and joyful to see how amazing the London marathon is.
Really well done! I've had the exact same surgery done in december, first cleared to run in the end of march. Now I'm training to do my first ever ultra marathon. I feel the pain you've gone through during the rehab process and people don't understand how hard it can be until they've experienced it! Really great motivation for me to keep training!
Great video!

Great work Theo especially after your surgery. The surgery you had 6 month before the marathon makes this really impressive.
