Title: How Long Can UA-camrs Run at Kipchoges Marathon Pace?
subscribe - Розваги
theo's content is absolute gold dust ! this is what he doessss 😎
Another yt comment found
Only one comment, let me fix that🎉
Do they have middle schoolers making comments through the official UA-cam account?
Lovely punctuation from UA-cam 😂
UA-cam
Glad Theo made this video
It’s hard to have an actual idea of how impressive Kipchoge’s record break is unless you have running experience.
Seeing this just shows the levels at which Kipchoge is at.
What a specimen he is.
Beep bop... I'm the Philosophy Bot. Here, have a quote:
"The irrationality of a thing is no argument against its existence, rather a condition of it"
~ Nietzsche
He is a specimen because his body is so accustomed to running there is no unnecessary weightage in his body sub 10 body fat percentage no big muscles absolute beastly human
@@adityakr7895 I don’t know if he is from this area, but Kenya has an area where people live that’s 8000 feet above sea level.
Being born and raised in that altitude mean your lungs work twice as hard as everyone else’s until they have adjusted to it.
Then they train up there.
Their lungs are something people that live at sea level couldn’t understand without altitude masks.
People like kipchoge are just marvels
@@adityakr7895 and a lot of Kenya’s best runners are from that region
It's hard to have an actual idea, even if you have running experience. Simply incomprehensible.
This dude does a better mile average during an entire marathon than most people do it for just 1 mile
Not really
@@Tommy_Klee23 bruh...
@@arroe8386 his time was in KM. Convert that to miles and you’ll see…
@@Tommy_Klee23 I'm sorry you can't change the fact that most people can't run a mile at the pace Kipchoge runs a marathon at
@@arroe8386 yo what? I thought the comment was about Theo, not kipchoge. Obviously not many people can do that lol
Totally inhuman to run a marathon at this pace, big up Kipchoge
big up kenya
It's so much easier on a treadmill which is the crazy part. It's twice as hard running on concrete like kipchoge did
I think that’s personal taste, all my best runs have been on course and not treadmill
nah treadmill is harder
@Breezy Treadmill is literally softer, bouncier and partially pushes you along when you run. It's absolutely easier.
@@VillaBoys123 this is all true but despite this my fastest 5km came on the road
@@jamesanderson6856 yeah. But you’ll be less tired after a 25min 5k on a treadmill compared to 25 5k in the elements
Kipchoge is the ABSOLUTE GOAT!!! Love seeing mainstream UA-camrs upload some running vids :D
love seeing Theo getting the boys in shape, wish someone paid me to workout
Mate. Just go and workout
You pay yourself to workout. Staying in shape extends your life, and time is money.
making money your only motivation to workout means your priorities aren’t straight. you’re doing it to better yourself. your reward is being healthy
@@theegwols7562 I don’t think he’s saying he doesn’t workout, just that it would be a bonus to get paid for it
i love all these videos that puts kipchoges pace into perspective so us mere mortals can understand. what a truly incredible athlete
That’s what I’m saying, especially as I’ve met these marchon guys from my town and they are units
I think they should do this for every Olympic event. Just pick a random average dude off the street for each event to contextualise how insane the pros are
Should do this on an athletics track in a different video, so 17 seconds for 100m, 34 for 200m, 68 for 400m targets and so on
GGs I need to try the other treadmill as well next time!!
brilliant for the injury you've come back from ❤
Seen a few say the treadmills a lot easier but for me personally I find running outside at that pace a lot easier than on a treadmill, though Kipchoge’s pace is insane either way 😅
Agreed cam. I used to think treadmil was easier when I ran once ina blue moon...now I run 30miles a week on road and treadmil is awful I sweat buckets and find it way harder even an easy pace seems harder than on road imo.
@@mrm9561 you’re physically not using as much energy on a treadmill..
Harry is looking good, man! 💪🏻
As a lad who suffers from social anxiety but loves the gym, really love that you went to a gym and collabbed with the lads. Would love to see you teaming up with the same, or different teams in the future!
Anxiety sucks, i know how it feels. You got it though. little by little
@@Cloudyyyy88 cheers mate I appreciate it, an uphill battle but I take it day by day!
That first treadmill is nowhere near going 2:50
More like 3:30
Excellent to see this type of content on mainstream UA-cam, however as a semi experienced athlete seeking international selection in the coming months and to compete in the next commonwealth games. I still find it mind blowing the achievements Kipchoge has achieved.
He is so good his only opponent is the clock
Honestly, for the frame that those gym bro's had, they had great condition. I would love to see a guy like Eddie Hall try this lol
Man would have a heart attack before the first kilometer is up lmao
@@EyeOfArcadia would love to see kipchoge dead lift 500kg
@@J.T.J8618 Running is more impressive and useful but to each their own
tbh i think we will see the sub 2 in an official race in the next 5 years. either by Kipchoge him self or by kiptum
If they end up in the same race together we could see an insane time for sure
Here you actually know what you’re talking about. Do you think they were actually running 2.50 pace in this. I’m calling huge bullshit on this
@@kevin.clancy no way, most treadmeals dont even go that high,.
@@kevin.clancythey were clearly not, especially on the first treadmill. He even started the counting when they were walking and jogging 🤦♂️
kelvin kiptum is gonna smoke kipchoge's record. he's 23 and already just 16 seconds off the WR time in his second ever marathon. he smashed kipchoge's course record by over a minute in london. he'll be first to go sub 2 in less than 3 years and he'll do it in berlin.
I’m loving this type of content Theo 🎉🎉
video going to be a banger I can tell already
My legs hurt just watching that. Hats off Theo.
Theo does some refreshing videos.
Nice and different. Thank you
My favourite that you have ever done, WELL DONE!
I really enjoyed this! Liked and new sub, cheers from phoenix az USA
This video was lit!
Sick video Theo, keep grinding
just that intro description on kibchoge pace blew my mind :O
Harry’s looking slim
"Wow, this video is pure gold! The content is incredibly informative, entertaining, and well-presented. The production quality is top-notch, and I love how engaging it is from start to finish. Kudos to the creators for putting in the hard work and delivering such a fantastic piece of content. I'm genuinely impressed and can't wait to share this with my friends. Keep up the amazing work!"
totally not a bot
Why is this comment in speech marks?
@@MoonwalkerNow chatgpt
Great video, I tried this challenge 3 weeks ago on my channel! Managed 4 minutes however started the timer when the treadmill got to full speed! This was tough
Wow whoever edited this deserves a raise
Hahaha love you Jamie
"yeah but your fitter than Reeve, he just looks it"😂
I would like to see Tobi try this
Tobi is fast for short distances. Maybe JJ or Ethan
those gym guys are different i couldnt imagine being that big and moving at that pace
I used to live below someone who had a treadmill they regularly used and the noise used to drive me insane. The pounding footsteps and the whirring is giving me flashbacks.
Probably shouldn't have ran a 10k before filming this eh
Ur right about that mr
Aight no need to showoff 😂😂😂
we appreciate the love you're showing our GOAT
I loved this video Theo :D hope to colab with you someday as I love your athletic based content ie- running, marathons, and football and all the in between :D
I can run a 5k in roughly high 14 or around 15min but what they do in marathons is beyond me lol longest race I have ever done was as a footballer/soccer player in College in the off season I ran a couple X-Country 10ks for fun just to see how I would do but didn't do it under my College team as I wasn't good enough lol and sadly they don't do 5ks :P I can basically sprint/run a 5k but after that pacing is key :/
He doesn't upload much but when he does, it's a good time
People actually don't realise how insane Kipchoge is
I see w2s I click
Literally my new favorite youtuber. Sidemen did you so dirty on the ranking video seriously. I came to judge for myself instead, and you're making amazing content (and all by yourself at that haha). Keep doing you!! Also, I totally disagree with the attractiveness rating, lol do they not take fitness into account for that or?
chip saying “i just don’t wanna go to your house” was my highlight of the video 💀
Absolute upstair neighbour behaviour this is 😂
Looks like the treadmill took time to get to that pace
Hello Theo , love the channel. Big fan from Kenya
the more tries they get the higher the time would get, because of seeing the competition and have a target to achieve, that's why at the end they just kept getting higher.
Ben's running form is beautiful
theo baker is turning into a marathon merchant
This was a great watch 👌
Ben's editing 💯💯 as per
Appreciate you Guiney Boy
Harry repping NYCFC! Love it.
Give us more of Reed please. That man is fiiiiiine!
Looking at Kiptum’s London performance, and his age relative to Kipchoge, a legit sub-2 may actually be closer than you’d think!
Few suggestions for a next video, do the same again but do it with proper running UA-camrs etc Stephen scullion, Philly Bowden, Ben is Running, Jog on, Cole running and for fun myself 😉
I agree that would be good but it’ll just be great runners running for like 10 mins so content probably not as interesting
@jamesnoble246 very certain scullion could got that pace for atleast 45 minutes if he really wanted to lol. + he's based in flagstaff doubt he'd fly to UK just for a yt video
Kipchoge G.O.A.T for reasons..soo proud of him🇰🇪♥️
Proud kenyan here 🇰🇪 🇰🇪 🇰🇪. Kenya to the World baby!!!!
Bro Harry looks mad different 💀
This is a good video but all I can think is how annoyed I'd be if I lived below someone with a treadmill 🤣
Literally thought exact same thing, surely he tells his neighbours if he’s recording 😂
great vid, i thought harry would go for longer
Don’t think you guys hit 2:50 on that treadmill 😅good video though!
Gotta love how big gym rat is also the most supportive person in the video
This was a class video and motivating.
this challenge was broken. everyone shouldve done on same threadmill
Exactly.
Everyone should of done it on a road or track tbh its much harder than a treadmill and actually represents Eliud Kipchoge's marathon
Just reference with theo's run on both.
This is hardly supposed to be rigorous science
Hand on heart this is the first video I have seen that puts the pace into a perspective most can understand, top stuff
Respect, keep up the awesome work. Also no bots in the comment yet
Harry the GOAT.
Downstairs must love you running on that treadmill
You should go to Kenya and film some content there.
I love running so these videos are great
Much love from kenya
"You're fitter than reev aren't you, he just looks good"
😂😂😂
As a soccer and cross country player/runner this is LOVELY
that treadmill is not calibrated properly, no way based on your previous running you can hit a sub 3:00/km lad
hes done a sub23-24 5k if im not wrong.which is 4:40 pace. hell easily be able to do a sub 3 1 k. anyone with a sub25 5k will be able to especially if ur younger
@@aryanbakshi5806 yeah you’ve not run before have you.. Normally need to have around a 17:30 5km to run sub 3min 1k, unless you’re a 1500 or less guy
@@JosephExplores i mean it really depends on age. for eg if u do a lot of sprint work for eg play a high intensity sports and are able to finish a 22-23 5k its pretty easy.about 5-7 memebers of my team were able to do it and none can run a sub20 5k
@@aryanbakshi5806 nah, that’s just straight up lies haha, it’s just a common issue with treadmills, sub 3min km is impressive
@@JosephExplores well believe wht u like idc😭
Much love from Kenya!🇰🇪
As a Kenyan fan, I'm happy to see Kipchoge getting his flowers ❤❤❤❤
Asanti sana Theo. Usichoke.
Theo acc mad athletic
this is such a cool idea
theo madlad
There's absolutely no way that treadmill was set right
No one:
Your upstairs neighbour:
Chip was like man if I run a marathon with all this coke in my system I’m gonna have a heart attack
As someone that runs a lot… the loudness of their steps on the treadmill makes me SCREAM for their knees and ankles 😭😂
I swear I watched this video at least 4 months ago 😂😭it feels like I watched it ages ago
Downstairs neighbours only loving this 😂😂
That treadmill placement 😬
downstairs must be pissed 😂
The flat downstairs having a nightmare
Just wait and see what Kelvin Kiptum produces later this year 🔥
RIP Kevin Kiptum
When I was in college, sub 3:30 km, yes a 1000m run(not a 3m30/km pace over a longer distance) was A+ grade, I managed to clock in 3m13, being in my top shape, feeling like Im spitting out my lung. This man managed to hold sub 3min pace over a marathon distance...
We used to have something called the cooper test in the Netherlands. It's just 12 minutes of running but for the boys A+ or 10/10 would be 3200 meters. Only managed to get it once, but that's exactly 3:45 per km for 12 minutes.
@@suckieduckie yes! I did a Cooper test in primary school, sometime near the end, cant remember, I was about 12 yo at that point and I set a school record with 2700m I believe, there is 0 chance I could repeat that these days 🤣
@@09Boniek Same here on the repetition front. I think I ran my best one when I had just turned 16. At the time I played football 7 times a week but even then 3200m was quite a long distance. We had one kid in our year that did track and field and he managed 3700m or something.
Ngl Harry looking kinda thin
Tubes is looking well
next time you should do the total running productions kipchoge challenge
And thats why Kipchoge is the goat as a Kenyan he is the pride of the nation in a country that churns out the GOATS of long distance running.
But Kipchoge is a level above the rest he's won 16 out of the 19 pro marathons he's participated in.
Victor wanyama is more famous
Upstairs neighbor things 😂
Theo’s downstairs neighbours are fuuuuummmingggg
if you use a threadmill it has to be on 23mph to be same as outside speed.
I am very simple minded person - I see harry, I click
