Yeah. I ordered a power frunk kit, as the kit is probably going to cost less than what it’ll cost to fix dents and scratches.

Since buying the car I've always closed it by pushing it down right on the Tesla emblem with no issues, sorta makes sense because if you look under the Tesla emblem that is where most of the hood reinforcement is and strongest area. My brother-in-law closed it your way on his MY and now has two indentations where his hands pushed down, not sure why Tesla would recommend it that way.

Thank you so much. Was so confused on how to close it because it kept saying it was open when I tried.

People making jokes but apparently you can damage the frunk if you do this from the center near the emblem. Thanks.. it actually is helpful.

I did that and the left hand area bent a little bit. Tesla has to improve this. I don't want to think about how to close the frunk everytime.

You actually don't shove the hood down, you press it slowly and hold. Then you can hear the electric latch lock.

Most Tesla's don't have front electric latches FYI.

@@ThumbsUpStuff all Model 3's have electric frunk locks.

Why didn't they have a power close hood? This is such bad engineering.

Other models may have automatic closing frunks, but this one doesn't. I'm assuming that maybe the Model S and X do have it.
