How long has it been since you made the switch from disposable razors?
Almost 2 years for me
About 6 months for me.....and I'm never going g back.
I've always been a wet shaver. But I started using a brush about 10 years ago, and I switched from cartridge razors just 4 months ago, almost by chance. I got a safety razor from my brother, and I started exploring the world of classic shaving on UA-cam. So many different razors, blades, soaps, latherig techniques, aftershave products, it's all such fun to explore.
Haven't yet. Waiting to use up my stock
More than 2 years.
I made the switch about 2 months ago. Started with the Rockwell on both face and head. Then got the Leaf for the head and all is perfect. I use the Leaf soap and oil with a Stirling synthetic brush. Shaving is a joy and a “me’ time that I look forward to. Thanks for inspiring me and keep the awesome videos coming.

I got the leaf twig a couple of days ago and it's the best razor I've ever had in my life. I made the switch to the twig coming from a Gillette Mach3. And the reason I picked the twig is because I have sensitive skin specially on my mustache. And I used to have a lot of irritation in that area when shaving with the Gillette but since I've started shaving with the twig I no longer have irritation and it is awesome. And the best part of it is that this razor (twig) has the best of both (the angle of the cartridge razor) and the irritation free from the safety razor. Your videos were a key factor for me in order to get the twig

I start to like leaf twig , your irritation may be also has to do with multi blades not getting cleaned .
I just got mine. I had the same issue. Shaving irritation around mustache area and also under the chin. First shave with the twig and no irritation whatsoever. I know there are many factors, a good lather and pre shave products certainly help, but I never got a shave quite this good even while taking extra care with a new cartridge. Hopefully I can get the technique down and become more consistent now.
Not the leaf user, but Rockwell 6c. No way Gillette get a penny for me, especially when they think they can foster us

just had my first shave with the leaf twig (switched from fusion 5). Cut my face a decent bit but got the closest shave ever thanks to u. But no one couldve prepared me for how tiny this razor is in person

Bought the Leaf back I August but found it hard to handle. Sent it back and got the Twig plus the difference in price. I use the twig everyday on my face and head. One pass does it for me!

I made the switch two months ago, and I never looked back. The blades are amazingly sharp, providing satisfyingly smooth shaves. I use Leaf Shave Twig and Perma Sharp half blades from Turkey, and they are fantastic.

@@OhioShaves I am very happy. When I was using Cartridge razors, it took 4-6 days for my face to recover from razor burn, and after just 2 shaves the blades were no longer as sharp. Since I've been using a safety razor, I can shave every 2 to 3 days - a dream. The quality of my skin has now improved significantly

Thank you for a great video. I have the leaf razor also, its a great razor. I'm just head shaving now since I grew my beard out. What seems to work best for me is to use 2 blades instead of 3. I put 1 blade on the bottom and 1 on the top. For me using 3 blades was a little bit aggressive. I usually do 2 passes and I also use the twig for around the ears. I'm glad you demonstrated that in your video. Also to note I shave my head in half the time using the leaf as opposed to a DE razor or Gillette fusion.

I love the leaf but I wish they come up with an updated slimmer/sleeker version similar to the vector especially the handle, and get rid of the logo! Still an amazing razor though can't fault it.

Advice for everyone being on the edge right now , thinking "should i buy Leaf razor/Twig?" , just do it , trust me.
Leaf Razor + gillette platinum blades (only 2 blades , without bottom one) did wonders for my sensitive and razor bump prone head.
The biggest difference for me while using Gillette's Mach3 and Skinguard vs Leaf Razor and Twig is that feel after you finish your shave , with Gillette's there is "tingly" and sensitive feel , but with Leaf's razors there is nothing at all , you don't even have feeling that you just shaved your head.

Great review of Leaf products. I agree if you are a head or body shaver the Leaf razor is the way to go. If you are a face shaver then either the Twig or Thorn is the way to go. I have all three and use the combo like you for head shaves as the Twig/Thorn is so easy to get around the ears. I find the Thorn to have a little blade feel and the shave last a little longer but still recommend new shaver to start with the Twig as I started with the Thorn too early and had a horrible shave as i was still adjusting to wet shaving over cartridge and foam shaves. Have a great week. I have all the Leaf products so I dont need in for the giveaway but good luck to everyone else as these are truly great razors, just remember little to no pressure.

I use an electric shaver now!! I don't get razor bumps or irritation or nicks/cuts!!
My skin is too sensitive for an electric shaver. Glad it works for you.
I think we need a water jet to clean the multi blade razors. And the water should discharge like a needle

Ease of use definitely goes to the leaf. The Henson does shave Your head well though.

Thinking of getting into double-edged shaving instead of the disposables and multiple-blade razors as a way to save money but also get rid of irritation and nicks so I'm glad I saw this video as a way to find some new razor brands to try.

No matter what I’m doing I’m always getting skin irritation on my neck… also with a twig or thorn… right now I’ve a beard so I’m only doing detailing around it but my skin directly gets irritation. Tried a lot but nothing seems to work 😢

Got the same problem as you 😔
One thing that’s helped me is I just use the alum block and cold water after the shave, and I don’t put aftershave or Thayers on my neck. Alum block and light rinse (pat dry, don’t rub). I also rinse the razor with cold water, and that’s helped a lot. I still get irritation, but it only gets red and goes away after a couple hours.
I also found menthol soaps and aftershave irritates my neck as well.

Yeah, leaf is not letting you stack the codes for their black Friday and cyber Monday sale. Normally, if they have a sale, you can stack the codes. Rockwell is the only one at the moment.

Easily the best head shaver you can buy. I have used the twig but didn’t get on too well with it, tried the Thorn and it was better, but I didn’t much care for having to be careful about cutting my head, the triple blade leaf gives the benefits of all and removes the negatives..it’s a win win…awesome razor.

#ohioshavesleafshave - I think I'll be buying myself a Leaf Twig for myself come the holidays. Having tried out now 4 different DEs of varying aggression anything more aggressive than the mild Henson just chews me up and spits me out. Heck I threw a feather into my Henson the other night just to see if it was the blades and I ended up with the best shave I've ever had regardless of shave. The only other one that didn't was the 26 dollar Parker so I want to experiment with that one.
The Twig honestly might be the answer for me just because of the mildness you mention it was compared to the Thorn. I can also see why the 3 blade set up would be popular.

@@OhioShaves got my twig in today. Immediately put it to the test and I was impressed. It got everything above the jaw line flawless in two passes, needed some touch-up below the jaw line.
It felt like I was shaving with my old junk which made it even more impressive.

I'll slightly disagree with you. A Mach 3 turbo has great blades and are sharp and smooth.
I don't use cartridges because I love single blade shaves. I don't shave everyday so I can't use cartridges as the get clogged.
I would say people who have issues with cartridge razors mostly are doing something wrong.
I refuse to believe that Single blades shave better than a mach 3 or proglide. I actually get a better shave with those.
Because I shave once a week I use my ATT H2.

I picked up a Rockwell 6S back in September of this year. Since then, I've never looked back toward disposable razors. I haven't gotten razor bumps (except when I tried Feather blades) or razor burn since.

#ohioshavesleafshave I just got a Leaf this week. I'm struggling with the pressure because I'm just not used to pivoting head razors. I'm sure I'll pick it up, but it just feels really foreign. I'm used to a light touch and fixed angle, and I have to basically do things with a Leaf that would get me injured with a DE! I'd love to try a Twig.

My wife uses the original Leaf. I tried it but didn't like it for my face. Twig seems intriguing though.
