This band as it is in this time was so badass. They still are, but damn. Jim and Josh on guitars was such an underrated duo. Roy on drums, Corey on the mic, and the same for Shawn on the bass. Goddamn good. I hope they are reborn in this same light when the time is right.

Corey's screams, as painful as they must've been, were in their absolute prime during this era. I get he switched screaming styles after this album cycle to protect his voice, but goddamnit, these screams were a work of art.

Yep, in IOWA and Stone Sour's self-titled he had a higly potential voice, but, for me, that voice was a little "brightless".
The screamings that i like to hear from him are like in Vol. 3, and some songs of Come What(ever) May (like Reborn, 30/30-150)

Man, you people need a wake up call because Corey is one of the few that hasn't blew his voice or had to alter his scream in any way! He still has the ability to scream at every level he has screamed before!! He said a true musician changes it up to keep his fans from getting bored which is the point that most musicians are missing now!!!?! He has a range that is inhumane, literally! Have you heard his impersonation of Paul Stanley while singing Love Gun??! He sounds IDENTICAL, same as with most people he pays tribute, etc.

Getting rid of Jim was a huge mistake. I almost might have gone to see Stone Sour for Corey and Jim. Without Jim, not a fucking chance. Not with Corey touring solo. I'll go to a "Corey Fucking Taylor" show and a Slipknot show amd I'm good. Fuck Stone Sour without Jim.

Corey really had some wicked screams at this point. Perfect fit for Vol.3 and early Stone Sour records. Way more inconsistant live though, especially while doing Slipknot shows. Prefer the guttural screams
He should do the high screams with Stone Sour and the gutturals for Slipknot. So he can rest a bit.
