I was there. The Concert Hall 1969 in Stockholm. The "power outage" is from Gröna Lund (amusement park) at Djurgården in 1868.

The story goes that Hendrix started playing over time when he was supposed to stop and someone backstage pulled the plug so the band couldn't play anymore. If it's true or not, i dont know? funny story though :)

this has been edited to look like the plug was pulled, the footage of jimi and band milling about is actually when they walked out and were checking their instruments before the gig started. they were however told at some point their time was up, jimi just shrugged his shoulders and walked off.

The video is definitely not real, i know. It's an old commercial for a electricity company that aired on TV when i was younger.

Well yes and no. The concert was at Gröna Lund in May 1967 and not 1968 as it says in the video. And all though it's a reconstruction of what took place, it did happen. Ove Hahn, former director of artists and concerts at Gröna Lund did actually pull the plug during a live session with Jimi Hendrix. This confirms by Richard Lindgren, son to the founder and owner of Gröna Lund, John Lindgren.
