Dear Ryan, my name is Gerald. I'm from Wuerzburg, Germany and I play bass since two years. In the Band I'm in, I play the blues harp and I sing a couple of songs. We play Rock N Roll and Country from the 50s and 60s. Our band is called Tennessee Bound, because of the great music history of this beautiful state. My wife and me have been there for the CMA Festival. Your Videos are the best I found on UA-cam. I do'nt know what it is, but they are different to all the others I've seen before. You are a great bass player and a real good teacher. Thanks alot for your great Videos.
I really love the clarity of your lessons. I've been playing bass for about 4 years, and you are showing me some fundamental things that no one ever talks about. While I use slides on some songs, the way you break it down here is great. P.S. I saw you play with Jenny Lewis last December! Great show!
Thanks for this great lesson, been working on incorporating more slides into my live playing. Since you’re on the topic of slides, would love to see a video on how to play slide bass as you did with the Interludes :)
thanks ryan for another super helpful lesson .i was always picking up the slide on the same fret . good to know that i should should pick it up a note higher or lower than my root .
Great lesson. Thanks! I was just looking at your lesson on "Come Together" and that slide. Funny how you must have known and posted this video within a few days!
I've got the lesson notated and available via PDF for those who support my Patreon page. If you dig this and want access to everything from these lessons, you can find it there. Cheers!

Thanks so much, so glad you've been enjoying my lessons!
I'm a guitar player trying to add bass to my tracks. Your videos are some of the most useful and straightforward I've found 😍
Great to hear! Thank you!
This is a genuinely cool idea. Sounds heavenly on a fretless too.
Always love those slides ! They just add such beautiful color ❤️Best wishes, Ryan 😎

When I move the pairs around the fretboard (like B and F#), it’s a good way to reinforce learning the fretboard.

Yes indeed!!
Cannonball!
✨OK, Let's Slide !! ✨
So does this mean you are starting on the G (3rd fret of E string ) and switching over to C (3rd fret of A string) to start the slide ?
I wonder what that looks like on music (sheet music).
