Kudos 👏! Look at how she is bonding, feeding her little brother too. I hope other foster/adoptive non African American moms can/will learn from Christy's videos the application of skill and knowledge will have an immense impact upon you child's esteem. Blessings Christy, to you and family.
Yes. I agree. She’s awesome for taking the time to make her foster child look beautiful though our hair can sometimes be a challenge especially when you aren’t used to it.
@@kimclaxton4066it is not her foster kid. She adopted the twins when they were very young ☺️
She got the whole cart over in the corner with all the products 😂 Let’s go Christy! She ain’t messing around. Let’s go mama you got this ! ✊🏾 Glam fam on UA-cam shows you how to cornrow. It’s super easy just takes some practice
Girl she keeps her baby's done right. She puts in the work and love. Let's go is right!!!!!
Their us so healthy.
I need that cart! Lol 😂 I use large containers with lids!
I know 😍🥰
Yessss ...that's what I saw first and how she was working the hair with confidence! Christy is the bomb!💣💥💯 So encouraging and loving!❤️
You've done an AMAZING job in not only learning how to do/maintaining their natural hair, but showing what unconditional love a mother has for their children! You and your family are beautiful! Love from Houston. Flowers for you, Mama! 💐 Stay Blessed! ❤🙏🏾
Well done! You’re going to inspire so many mums that have black children, to care for their hair ❤❤❤
That’s the plan! Thank you
U are doing a great great 👍 job, what hair gel do use? Because I have problems with my granddaughter’s hair and some gels it makes her hair flaky and looks she has very very dry scalp.
Agreed! You rocked put this style and I is so great to see you appreciate your daughter's hair and versatility, and just pour love into them. Many blessings to you❤
As a black woman, I must say you did an absolute amazing job! Her hair is super moisturized and the style is super cute! Great job mom 🥰🙌🏾
You did a great job! I loved seeing Ace show his baby brother and sister love ❤️
Chrisy, shout out to your parents. You were raised with so much love and that is how you can transmit this love to your adoptive children and to us your fans. You are so beautiful.
Avaya feeding bubba, love it! Big siblings helping mamas out is my favourite!
I think it is nice to see that she did not relax her hair, but learned to do it natural.
Her hair is sooo healthy and beautiful! I could tell you having fun with her hair. Baby boy just chilling drinking his milk and Aviva does such a good job feeding him.
Ace's little hugs and kisses was so sweet and beautiful 😍😍😍😍
Well done Mama.🥰
I so agree lady! Hair does play into confidence. My mother always took time to do our hair. She really let us experiment with braids and weaves too at a young age. Just so we could learn.
Yes! I totally agree. And kids can see what effort their parents are putting into their care. Especially for Foster in adoptive parents we need to go above and beyond to show our babies love
@@ChristyGior8 You are so right. Black mothers need to learn this as well. Black mothers on UA-cam seem to have such a hard time doing their daughters' hair and they have the same texture as their girls. So it is amazing what you are doing. A lot of black moms can learn from you as well. Thanks for the positive energy. Your children are beautiful. And this shows that black girls with natural black hair can rock the same beautiful style as girls from other races and girls who are mixed race.
@@queennanna5595, it started with my mother and every Black mother in our neighborhood, knew how to care for and did our girls hair every day. I am here to let you know this is something that goes back to the Motherland. What you might see today is what you see.
I just love how her brother checks in on her and gives her a hug each time ❤
You're just an awesome mom!!!!
Thank you!!
I agree
I couldn't agree with more! She's constantly creating memories her kids will remember forever!
Your message is so full of love and care. If only everyone could look at one another with the empathy, care, and love you display by just caring for your children. My heart is so warmed with how you are an advocate in the trans- racial adoption space. Keep it up!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
As a black woman I never do my hair I always felt like it was to much to handle . So I just throw on a wig watching Christy really helps me with my own hair and gives me the confidence to wear my natural hair more often
I love this ❤️
Really 🤦
@@jan4177 why do you think many black women relaxe their hair? Some just find difficult to handle their hair properly.
May I ask was your mom or grandmother not in the picture to teach you? I’ve always had natural hair, but if you decide to get a relaxer that is perfectly fine as well. Just make sure it is professionally maintained. The major damage comes from amateurs handling chemicals.
The love between the siblings is priceless ❤
“That is the beauty of MY girl’s hair” your wording shows how genuine your care is 🥺 Subscribed!
braiding ethnic hair is so satisfying. i love what you said about doing your daughters hair. its really not optional, i wish more moms understood the importance of cultivating self worth
Ethnic…😂😂
@@TheBellePerspectiveTV thats the term i learned in cosmetology school 1998 lol. we didnt learn the terms ive heard more recently. and i didnt pursue that field. im sorry i said it wrong. what wouldve sounded better?
@@sohard2sea872 Tighter coiled hair, if you mean that specifically
Since ethnic can be anyone, Black, Asian, White, Indigenous, etc.
@@jasminespencer2872 sorry to offend you. thnx
@@TheBellePerspectiveTV *sub Saharan. Not all ethnic hair is the same
I love to watch you do their hair. ❤ As an African American mom I appreciate that you took the time to learn and to take that knowledge and pass it on.
Your sweet daughter is growing up before our eyes! Team RevAir loves witnessing how you pour so much love into your children. Loving this hair style too, so cute!
I have so much respect for mommas who actually take the time to learn how to do hair that is completely different from their own. Great job!
I know. Makes me sad that so many little girls are given relaxers instead of moms learning how to do this
@@jbb8261Yes I was one of them. Had a relaxer at 3 years old and then went natural at 16. One of the best decisions that I’ve ever made! 😊
I love seeing your loving attitude towards your kids and their self esteem. In a harsh world, this is one of the few places on the internet I can come to for peace and kindness.
I love how you take care of your daughters . Awesome mom.
Aaww ace coming in and hugging his brother and sister is so sweet
This is awesome! Pro tip for keeping her hair moisturized while you’re sectioning: put a shower cap over the parts you aren’t working on. It’ll trap the moisture and heat from her head in and create a greenhouse effect and keep the sections from drying out 😊
Oohh ok thanks.. I’ll take that advice too🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@NajaB22 you’re welcome! Keep being an inspiration
Learn something new everyday thank you for this tip!
Her hair is so healthy, long and pretty ❤
Yesss!💖
I just love you Christy! Your words of encouragement were everything. 👏🏾
Thank you so much. Foster and adoptive parents really need to go above and beyond to make sure our babies feel loved and taken care of.
Your son is getting big. You are doing a fantastic job as a mom. Love watching your channel. Keep them coming.
Little girl/hair is gorgeous🥰 but the message in this video was beautiful! ❤️Then I see her feeding the baby..all love and positivety. When she grows up she will have such fond memories of mom doing her hair!
Love how much you know about AA hair and how much love you can feel through your videos from you to your children and how they love each other
Watching this video brings back so many childhood memories, when my Mama would wash and style my hair!!! Thanks Mom!!
Definitely giving props! In the Black Community our hair is a big part of our identity because it’s so unique and it allows us to come together and bond over it all of our lives. You are definitely feeding her confidence by learning her culture and that is the best thing a mom can do ❤
Excellent adopted mother, her caring and affectionate ways shows through the way she is combing her daughter hair.
RESPECT MAMA
First of all, Christy, your attitude is beautiful and the way you describe your daughters’ heads of hair is thoughtful and positive! Next, I had to learn how to do my twin girls’ hair the same way! I had no clue how to cornrow when I started, but practice made greatness! Thank you for encouraging other mamas out there! ❤ (ps-baby boy is growing! 😊)
Thank you!!
I am not a foster or adoptive parents and I don’t even have girls, but I love these videos! Also, what an amazing sister!!!
You do a excellent job caring for their hair and overall health. Her hair has gotten so long, healthy, and thick.
I absolutely love this woman! I appreciate you for opening your home and being willing and hungry to learn how to raise a black girl to be proud of her curls!
This video is so sweet looking at you doing her hair and seeing the twin and their love for their baby brother
I’m not a foster or adoptive parent and I’ve even learned so much from your channel
I love how you're combing her hair from the tips and working your way down. I learned that at the age of 25. Alot people in my community still don't know how to take care of our natural 4c hair. Thus is beautiful to watch!
Ace coming in and giving hugs was so sweet ❤
Love the patience and love you put on your daughter's hair...
You may not be able to do cornrows, but you have done so many other gorgeous styles on your girls. 😊
This reminds me of when I went to church camp in middle school. One of the women from a near by congregation was getting ready to adopt 3(4?) African American kids and she practiced braids on all of us girls ❤
I admire the interest you show in doing the girl's hair, you're doing an amazing job, and I applaud you. The unconditional love that you have for them is so admirable. You're doing a great job, Mommy. ❤❤❤
When I saw the cart ! I was like yup she did hella research I can listen to her! I appreciate that!
Girl! You did that and you can tell you take very great care of her hair, especially In it’s length! I love it! 💕💕💕
You have such a Loving heart, being a foster+adoptive mom. Your girls hair are so healthy and beautiful, you have such a beautiful and amazing family. 😍😍
She’s got beautiful, thick, healthy hair! Just gorgeous 💕! Great job mama!
👍🏽Excellent video!! What a lucky girl to have you for her mom!👍🏽
Her hair is so long, thick and healthy! I have done my own natural hair since I was in the 8th grade, now my hair is mid bra length. Natural hair honestly was the best method for me since it allowed me to retain my cultural identity, use products that are natural with out sulfates and chemicals and wear protective styling that represents my personality.
This made me so happy to watch. Yhe way you made it your duty to learn about how to take care of her hair type instead of just sending her off to a salon or putting chemicals in it. the love is real! Well done to you 👏
You’re such a good momma. I absolutely love watching you do the girls hair. Avaya seems to be a mommas girl to me. My fav videos are your grocery hauls, doing hair and family time.xoxo
Girl you rock I don't know any other woman that can do hair like this ☺️
I love the style ! What a gorgeous girl with gorgeous hair 💕
I applaud you!!!! LOVE that you’re teaching your girls to love their hair. LOVE that you learned how to do your girls’ hair! LOVE that you’re not afraid to take them to the salon when there’s a style that you’d like for them but you don’t know how to do. LOVDE that you adopted! LOVE everything about this! And we can feel the LOVE that you have for your kids. Bravo 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😊
Thought she was feeding a doll until I looked down and duh! Of course it’s Tazeo 💙
I've ALWAYS loved how open and honest you are!!!! I love me some you and the family!!!! 😊😊😊😍😍😍😍
Thanks for taking the time to learn and teach about your daughters hair. It’s nothing like the hair bonding conversation….. that’s when my 9yr old updates me on all the new lingo😂❤🙏🏽♥️
Thank you sister for making sure that your daughter’s hair is tooken care of. ❤❤❤ I love seeing this!
As. Natural hair car specialist my hats 🧢 goes off to you! You did a phenomenal job! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you so much 🤗
The baby is so cute he looks like a little doll in his sister's arm!!!🥰
You GO, Christy!! 🎉
Your skill & understanding of simple nurturing are both impressive. Cute 'do on a beautiful head of natural hair. 😍
This was soo refreshing to see, especially in today's world. You are the epitome of kindness and soo many people could learn from you. Blessings to you and your family.
I love how you took the time to care for their hair. The way your kids look are a reflection of you. I definitely agree with what you said about taking them to a beauty shop if you need help. I think it’s great that you put these videos out related to hair care. Also, you have beautiful children. They seem to be so caring to one another. The baby is adorable! I thought he was a doll at first❤
You did an excellent job! Her hair is very beautiful and healthy❤
The hugs and kisses from Ace though .. so adorable 😍 💖 💕
I love watching your videos. It’s so clear that you love all of your children and that doing their hair is not “hard” or “different” but just a part of everyday life. I have personally known white families who adopted African American children and made such a big (and negative) deal out of doing their hair which just made the girls feel less than. You are a great example of how your love for your kids inspired you to learn about the different types of African American hair and techniques that work. I love seeing you and all your kids interact. Your family seems to be very happy.
You are truly incredible and I applaud you for learning your daughter’s hair type and how to comb and style it.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have watched your channel for a while now and you do an amazing job taking care of their hair. It's healthy and has so much moisture which is the key to natural hair. Keep up the Amazing work that you are doing with all your kids❤️ We love y'all!❤️🙏
Her hair is healthy and long thanks to the love you are giving it and her. You rock Christy🥰
Even the way you seem to enjoy doing their hair is lovely. Kudos mum👍
This is what love looks like💝
Yaaass!!! her hair is so long, thick, and beautiful. You've been watering her crown since she was baby and it shows. The shrinkage is real. She'll never struggle to do her own hair when she gets older. I wish my mom embraced my natural hair instead of relaxing it since I was like 6. Now I love my natural hair but my hair styles are limited lol
IKTR THINGS LIKE THIS MAKE FORGET ABOUT RACISM. LOVE IT. BEING INFORMED GOES A LONG WAYYYYY. BLESSINGs TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!! 🥰😍😘🤞🏾💪🏾🙌🏾🤎💯🤍
👏 Great job Mama! Her hair is beautiful
Absolutely beautiful! You did an amazing job. This entire video warmed my heart.
Awesome Mommy!👌🏽 Avaya’s hair is growing so long and thick.❤
I love the love that's being shown. To take the time to learn how to care for her hair is awesome. This warmed my heart.
This is so beautiful. Thank you for taking the time to care! ❤
Wow! I am so impressed mamas!!! You go girl! You worked that hair like a pro! Subscribed! I can feel the bond through the screen. Your daughter is super happy with her hair too. I love her reaction. I also love her brother randomly giving her a hug. 🥰 Happy family.
Her hair is healthy and long … you got growing hands.
She has the most beautiful hair ❤❤❤❤
You did a great job moisture is the key to african/black hair.❤️❤️❤️❤️
I need you to do my hair! 😂 I loved when you said y'all bond over hair. I remember my mom doing my hair 50 yrs ago. We didn't go to the hairdressers. It takes love when a parent sits down and does your hair. It shows a child that their hair isn't too much for them to do. So many young parents send their kids to the hairdressers. Because they don't have time or want to do it. I love your comment. I was very inspired.
Hey Christy I thoroughly enjoyed your live segment this morning except for those 2 horrible trolls. I just love all that unconditional love you have for your children..you are a great Mama..my kids are grown now and moved out and my husband and I are retired so following your channel is great for me. It's truly refreshing to see how you care and love your family.
Yassssssss girl yassssssss!!!!!!! Thankful for my biracial momma who taught me at 12 how to do hair, braid, cornrow, take care of and all that jazz, she got me ready for so much!! I was the only white girl braiding all the sistas hair while locked up back in the day. And in the neighborhood before that. I 💜💜💜seeing this!!!!
Christy you are awesome! ❤. Love that you are learning how to take care of your childrens’ hair!
Thank you for always sharing, teaching and expressing the importance of combing black hair. It is important and needed.... Practice makes perfect. I always comb my daughter's hair in sections, that is a necessity. keeping our hair moisturized and hydrated is important. Peace and blessings and congrats on the baby....
Your older son is so cute!!!!! Kissing baby and hugging sister. My oldest son is 5 and always kissing our newborn and you are making me feel super convicted because he breastfeeds and I didn't want him that close to my bare breast but you made me see that he is super affectionate and that is a great thing. Bless you!
Great job mama, your daughter will forever appreciate your dedication to all aspects of her culture. you’re an amazing mama ❤
Christy, you are one phenomenal mother; I salute you with all my heart.
ive been watching you for a couple of years now and i love the way you empower your children and especially your willingness to learn! wheewwww chile! you have my whole heart
Yes I always tell my husband about our oldest daughters hair, it just needs to be cleaned and styled neatly, that simple lol
HER HAIR IS HEALTHY AND BEAUTIFUL. YOU ARE SO GREAT AT THIS.
Go girl. Do it do it! God bless you and protect you always
You did a great job with the work and explaining what to do! This made my heart smile. 🙂 such an inspiration ✨️
I'm loving this you know a lot stuff about our hair needs 😍 great job on your daughter's hair
That came out so pretty. Great job 😊
