I have mine for almost 2mo since it was pre order. I use it almost always folded. No problem with the sound when folding or unfolding. The crease is also almost as new. I'm using samsung clear case. Still loving it as much as when i first hold it.😊
I have a Z Flip 5, the z flip 6 is nice, a good upgrade, the price here in Brazil is going down much faster than I imagined, it costs ± 600$ here, witch is awesome!!
That's actually fantastic! The zf5 was solid All the way until I traded it in and never had any MAJOR issues with the crease noise specifically. It's obvious the glass is new and thicker on the zf6 - and i guess it's still experimental seeing how many ppl have similar noises.
Flip 6 user here. I am writing this comment for those who feel skeptical about this phone specifically reading and watching reviews of creaking sounds. Mine do that too and over time it got worse and better on repeat. Personally I believe the issue is just lack of strong glue where the screen sits on the hinge mechanism: besides that the phone feels durable and steady. No grinding sounds, no changes in the strength of the hinge, no creases that gets more evident. And even with this possible glue issue, the screen doesn't seem like it's coming off. I just believe it's actually normal (as samsung claims) just because gluing too much the screen over the hinge would've made it more likely to break. This was an honest take from an user that is absolutely loving this phone for its battery life, performances and very little compromises for using this phone factor. I would give this phone a score of 8.5 out of 10 and the only points missing are due to the screen creaking, which once again, is just annoying but doesn't make phone about to break anytime.
I discontinued using my Fold4 because of creaking, which I believed was a flaw. Having used the Magic V2 for eight months and the Pixel Fold for a year, neither of these devices exhibited this issue. However, I’ve noticed other problems with Samsung’s quality control on S Korean user sites. It seems that they are compromising on quality as they continue to incur losses on their foldable product line. Additionally, I’ve heard that sales of the Fold6 have declined by 25%, suggesting that people like me have decided to avoid them due to these issues.
Thats the ONLY reason why im sceptical if i should get it. The price is big and im just a teen w my saved up money, been a Samsung user since my first phone but normal phones became boring and i really want the flip, im just worried the screen will go black and die. Since i saw that happen to few people but that might just be bc they didnt take care of it... I dont know😭are you sure the cracking isnt a problem? I seen some people being able to return that phone and get a new one bc of the cracking sound. I really want it but i have to be careful bc its literally all my money going to this phone
Have flip 6 now for 1 week and i love it, i was afraid of lagging\ glitches and slower then my "old" 1.5 year old iphone 12 but Phew lucky its the same speed or even faster, no overheating problems, battery last easy 1.5 days on minimal use, its awesome you can just use UA-cam with the coverscreen ,well done Samsung .. first Samsung phone since my last Samsung phone the galaxy S6 edge, after that i had multiple iphones.
Had the flip 6 since the beginning, and i have literally none of these problems. No creaking. Crease is only visible when screen is locked. No problems at all
There is a feature that I have in the s23 and I think u can enable it in all other samsungs, it is the pass-through charging while gaming. Meaning when u charge while playing a game the charger will only power the phone with the necessary power for gaming without charging the battery. So if u have 77% charge and plug the charger and play pubg after finishing the session and unplugging the charger your charge will be 77% as like you didn't play at all. But there is more heat when using this technique.
It's odd there would be more heat though since it's capping the input - that is a pretty great setting if the heating could be avoided - otherwise I'd personally just use it as normal so it charges the phone and heats less. I haven't tried this across devices though.
Anybody notice that he "slams" his phone shut? The rigorous 50k flip test that Samsung does was designed for "soft closes". If your phone is creaking what do you expect?
My ZF5 was solid too - it had a softer glass screen. The issue I'm seeing with mine and other people's zf6 (According to comments) is that the ZF6 has harder glass and THAT is making make more noises and crackle (broke down the glass hardness in the 24 hr zf6 video). Reaching out to Samsung the response is that the noise is normal and over time it'll go away - so either the glass is supposed to soften.... or not?
At the beginning the creaking sound was something that you could read in some posts of Reddit but now it looks like a generic problem with this phone... I really want this flip but paying that amount of money for a product with a creaking problem is putting me off
IF it's just a sound that happens and nothing more I think it's fine and I would still upgrade - I'm more watchful of damage or issues with the crease - it's certainly a harder glass so in pursuit of more durability they have this "symptom" I'd say it's worthwhile - especially if it's supposed to soften over time.
So Samsung says it's normal and it should settle out over time. Honestly since making the video I STILL have the sounds - but they have lessened a bit, not as DRASTIC.
Mine has for the most part lessend alot i dont hear it as much. I really love the flip form however i wish these phones werent fragile. I never really use my phone but i do when not at home cause my tab is hard to carry around watching movies on it is not ideal compare to a tab as well the phone needs to be thicker even in flip form the display look beautiful. I'm honestly more bothered by the thinnes of the phone
@@3arthandsky yeah thats true and if you look at other flips/folds they already made it thinner, which some people like but i really do dislike cause it feels like its going to break or fall out of my hand, a little but uncomfortable but honestly its a great phone, i got a good case on it and my problems disappeared, except for the sound
Mine is also creaking, and when i press right on the folding area on the left side it makes a popping noise. Im very concerned but I have Samsung Care +, hopefully Samsung helps if anything happens to my phone. Been a iphone user for 9 years, idk how Samsung care + works... lets see😅
Mine too! When I press down and run my finger over the crease it has a POP - again Samsung said it's normal ---- doesn't seem so normal to me. They say it should settle over time.
I use my Z flip mostly folded. I can do everything that i need to do when it's folded. I will use my Tab S8 5g when i want a larger screen and it is connected to mobile service. It updated today with all of the new AI features just as I was looking at the S10's . I won't trade it in for now..
I just had that with the zf6, inner display gone - but the repair process might be easier than most think - I am making a video on the fix RN AND will be out in 2 weeks going over costs, timeframe etc.
I'm hoping the crackling sound mine makes is just the screen protector. 😰 I'm really, really hoping android 15 brings back "hey google" functionality while closed! You know, like it did in android 13. 😭 Thanks for all the great videos.
Watch bubbling for the screen protector, little lines of bubbles show up if the screen protector is creasing out, the protector is plastic so it won't shatter or make those noises - it's literally like plastic-wrap.
I typically keep my phone open when im not outside lol because im scared of opening and closing it toooooo much. But i havent had any of these problems stated in this video. Im like on week 3 now tho lol.
For me the best screen in Flips was the 5 - the 6 screen IS harder - and more durable - but also... making those creaking noises which don't really drive the confidence Samsung is marketing.
Im want this phone but hearing all rhe issues people be having wirh it making me want just go with the new iphone 16 instead this phone looks pretty cool but seems like a massive high liability and risk with all the issues still debating but all the issues ive seen from people on reddit making me think alot about it

My Z Flip 6 overheats alot when charging or uploading to Facebook or Google Drive.. way more than my Z Flip 5 used to... not happy
Doing so MORE than the 5 is a bit odd since the processor is also supposed to by much better at heat management.
Do a full reset as new, not from a backup. That has fixed many issues I have had on several devices, from my iPad Mini to my S24U.
