Yup! I got the Flip 6 and I'm never going back to a slab phone. It's size is just so convenient. I like to carry it in my trackytop side pocket, which a slab would normally fall out of. It's sits closed on the charger at night time and I only need to tap the screen to see what apps/info I need. Whilst I do roll without a case I will admit it's not the easiest to open so I wish there was a slight thumb carve-out on the sides, or a grippier finish/texture, but it's not tragic. Split screen apps (which I assume most other phones do also) is invaluable for me and plopping the shortcut to those twoo-app-combis into the edge panel makes life easy. The "crease" doesn't bother me and I don't even know it's there until I scroll over it, but I don't care about it; anyway, the fact that we can fold high tech viewing devices in half these days shouldn't be taken for granted - it's amazing!

Well sh*t, I was hoping you were gonna talk me out of it. Thanks a lot! 😋 Honestly I just want something small that's easy to pocket. I haven't had a smartphone in years but this one is tempting me to try one again.
I try to fold it as little as possible. I like the flip form factor it’s definitely got “cool points”. I had a galaxy fold 4 and I find the flip 6 is more refined and better built. The cover screen is a fun pocket gimmick that is used for when you want attention from friends or family. I run UA-cam videos on the cover screen and it’s nice when I just want to quickly change videos or songs without having to open the phone fully. The camera however isn’t as good as the fold series but it’s still good enough for what most people would use it for. The front facing camera for selfies with the cover screen preview is the golden egg of the OS in my opinion. I’d take the flip over the fold since the flip screen is smaller and has less real estate for screen damage. It really just comes down to personal use and what you ideally need for size. The fold is good for multitasking, notes, dual screen apps and media. The flip is good for on the go, convenient form factor and quirky features that bring a sense of nostalgia like the old days. Again, really depends on what your daily use looks like and how much screen you want.
I had the flip 5 for a full year, didn't baby it, used it all day long.. 100% no problems with the crease... No worries .. Just traded the flip 5 for the flip 6.. can't imagine ever choosing a slab phone over a flip phone now.
You are right that it isn't about comparing things, on paper the ultra is a better phone, but the flip 5/6 is a better phone for me to use.. U have small hands, I find the narrow form factor, to be easier to use,. I find myself running my fingers over the crease like it was a worry stone And it fits in any pocket without falling out.. can't imagine ever switching back to a slab phone.. Last year I traded my s23 ultra on a flip 5, and just traded the flip 5 for a flip 6..

Hey, I think the kind of work you do might affect how long the folds and flips last. I got the Fold 5 less than 6 months ago, brand new, but I'm a hands-on tradesman who's always around grease and dirt, and the hinge already feels like there's dirt in it. I didn't think about it at first, but I just wanted to share my experience. Overall it's a great experience if you want something new.
i was all about the flip since the 3 but now I've had 2 flip 6 in 1 month because I keep getting a black screen. The second one I haven't even had it for 24hrs and I got the black screen. Right out the box. Very annoyed about it.
If you want to try something different, you need the moto razr. Same perks as the sammy, but more useful tidbits and well if you want pro photos, get a pro camera, it's a damn cell phone
It's not for me because I had to send mine back to Samsung due to the screen glitching out. They didn't have the parts, backordered, so they decided to refund the whole cost of it.
I feel like flip phones and zf6 like foldables are the nintendos of smartphones. It's less about having the objectively best specs and more about experience. At some point having the objectively best becomes meaningless while having the best experience becomes more and more meaningful. This is especially true with the stagnation of smartphone innovation, I would say yeah the samsung s6 is a major upgrade to the s5, the s9 is a good update to the s8 but we're not even talking about a full generational leap here (comparing the z line to the s line since the s24 is often compared to the zflip and the s24u to the zf6) so I don't see any reason to say one is lacking specswise compared to the other.
Ill be honest to me this phone is more for the aesthetics than anything else, its good to look at but a bit awful to use since its tall and i am also torn in where it should fit.
Moving your head around that much keeps muting your sound. Keep your head still and just look into the camara. Looking right and left up and down half your words are lost.

You completely lost me when you said Samsung's front screen experience is "better thought" than others, giving you "curated experience, that prevents you from opening the device". That is just BS! The limitation of ZFlip makes you open the phone more often and frustrate the user with their stupidity. That is the BIGGEST con on ZFlip compared to competition. You just don't know what you are talking about.
@@rinny5950 To each their own, but ZF5 requires to be open for really simple, everyday tasks - e.g. confirming access with MSFT authenticator, launching a hotspot, etc. WTF?!
So this guy is saying limiting the front screen and making you open it is a good thing. What a joke. And the other thing, the only "benefit" of this phone is that it folds and it's s easier to carry . But then again you have to open it and closed it which is an extra unnecessary step. Also when folded it's smaller but quite chunky in your pocket. And is way too long and skinny when opened. Had f3 and f5. Both lasted abut 3 months. Also had fold 2 and 4. 4 was a disappointment. Screen replaced twice in 14 months. Tried fold 6 was disappointed with narrow screen. Might try fold 7 if it's wide like fold SE. Fold gives you something extra but flip doesn't. Normal s24 now.
