@Novarieas Honestly it's worth the upgrade, in my opinion. I got the mint color. It feels great in the hand. It feels premium. The camera is better than my iPhone 13. The smoothness of the software is better and just overall more aesthetically pleasing. I hope that helps😊

Ive had Samsungs now - the Note, the S series and now the Fold 6, and ill never go back. You cando a lot more on android esp samsung phones, and the customization is amazing. Theyre just really fun. I just got my Fold 6 & i love it, i highly reccomend you try out a samsung! :)

Use edge lighting in the settings to light the edges of the phone, if that doesn't work use edge lighting plus from good lock, you can choose icons to "light" your screen

I have the z flip 6 in mint green. So sad they didn't make the purple one this years 😢💜 I love the phone so much and can't see me wanting a regular phone ever again. I was an apple fan girl for 10+ years... never again. I love the retro uniqueness of the z flip and the customisation of samsung ❤ I have the galaxy buds pro 3 and they are very annoying. They don't fit in my ears properly and become loose. My ears may be at fault, but for someone with sensory issues, it's a nightmare 😅 I would love to see more videos of your z flip when you have time and the feeling takes you ❤

this was extremely helpful, thank you! I was very sold on this until you mentioned the slow charging. I am used to oneplus' ultrafast charging (20% in 5 mins) and I do not want to downgrade from that since my charging habits are really bad.
For configuration of the notifications you can go to the configuration and there's a place where it says notifications so there you can do it... but also if you are like me and like more for certain notifications you can use modes so there's a halo around the screen with different colours or get a little flash on the camera flash for the notifications and a lot of more things... so you should try the modes and have fun with that

And i agree with not liking most of the ai stuff, just feels like it steals from artists and is a bit grubby. i do like using the voice recording feature that transcribes for me though. As someone w focus and audio processing issues its p helpful

Hi, in regards to the "accidental fingerprint unlock," go into settings, then go to biometrics and click on fingerprints. There should be an option to turn the fingerprint always on OFF.
I used to think the videos were just with samsung.. it happens to me when my mom (who has an iPhone) sends me videos too!!! Overall, I think these are small annoyances and I’m so done with Apple. Going to the store tonight!

I want this phone. I currently use the Google pixel 6 and yes it's ok but customization doesn't really exist and battery life is mild and it's a bit big for me as I have small hands. It is nice camera wise and since I'm deaf it has RRT and stuff for calls but otherwise it's a boring phone 😬 I can only edit the wallpapers, clock, widgets and maybe the lighting. But not the icons or font or something like that. It's lame 😑
With UI 6 Samsung hid notifications in some apps 😑 you have to go into settings >turn on manage notification categories, then go into the app's category section and change it to what you want. Very annoying

Sad to hear about heating issues; that's what's killing my current Pixel. Does that happen even when it's shut? Btw the texting videos thing is an issue I had as an iPhone user ~3 years ago. It's part of Apple's trying to lock people into their ecosystem, pushing back against RCS, etc. Literally had Apple Support try lying to me that a glitch where I had the issue with another iPhone user (who would absolutely never switch, all the bubbles are still blue, he still uses iMessage through his iCloud email, etc.) was Secretly An Android User and *I'm* the one lying even though I sent screenshots. Switched since I needed to be able to get photos and videos from my friends with Android more than any iPhone user.

When you're on the lock screen, hold it down like you're going to edit the clock and then when you click the notification section, it will give you the option
Love my flip 6 in the limited edition black colour.The hinge makes a noise when you first open it after a period of time been shut,it must stiffen up.LISTEN and feel it grinde as you open it when its stiffened up after a peiod of no use been closed.
sorry but I am switching to iphone soon..I hv been an Android user my entire life but since I started using flip , I am done with flips. Flip3 and last was flip 4..but within a year, I took it for repair more than thrice and after warranty now, I hv kept it for kids to play with..its display is very very sensitive.. if it fell in open condition, its gone..you may be lucky in initial few drops but whenever it fells, its hinges break into pieces and damages the entire display..the whole front frame is been replaced in that case. Plus its portable as well as easily slip able. I hv nvr ever droped any phone in my entire life but whenever its in my hand even in open condition, if it hit with somebody elses hand even at a slightest strike, it looses down your grip. I am fed up of repairing it now
About the find my thing on samsung... I just want to say about 3-ish years ago, I lost one of my galaxy buds at a gas station and I was able to locate it despite being a few miles away. I'm just assuming it's just better now. On a slightly unrelated note my phone is connected on my tablet (s21 ultra and tab s6lite [which are a few years apart] and I accidentally left my phone in the car on like a 90° day and my tablet let me know that it was over heating and it let's me know when my phone battery is almost dead. I can't compare it to apple because I haven't had apple since before the pandemic but I can say samsung devices are really good at "communicating" with each other
Damn that review makes my decision hard. I wanted to wait for the galaxy s25 ultra next year (hoping it will have a camera like the s23 ultra) but the flip is so cute😭 The top half of the flip getting jot is a big con i think...this could cause issues later on and i don't switch phones every 1-2 years so phones have to last at least 4 years without problems... Another issue is that phones are so expensive nowadays...why do they jave to kost 1.5k??

I love the look of the flip and fold. I did end up picking the fold over the flip though as loved the pink colour 🩷
I do love the color of the fold but I couldn't justify having a tablet sized phone when I already have an iPad haha but I'd LOVE to try it one day

Side note: closing all your apps actually uses MORE battery (I used to think it saved battery, too). The phone has to use more battery/ram when you reopen the app. I'd say only close apps you know you won't use for a while (but you can also set apps to go into deep sleep).

It’s as waterproof as iPhones I thought? IP48 vs IP68. The first number is for dust resistance, which folding phone hinges aren’t so great at
The fact it’s not waterproof scares me tbh… I’ve had so many accidents with my phone involving water
I want this phone. I currently use the Google pixel 6 and yes it's ok but customization doesn't really exist and battery life is mild and it's a bit big for me as I have small hands. It is nice camera wise and since I'm deaf it has RRT and stuff for calls but otherwise it's a boring phone 😬 I can only edit the wallpapers, clock, widgets and maybe the lighting. But not the icons or font or something like that. It's lame 😑
aod notify is good for lighting the screen up when receiving a message 🤝

With UI 6 Samsung hid notifications in some apps 😑 you have to go into settings >turn on manage notification categories, then go into the app's category section and change it to what you want. Very annoying
I had a Flip 4. I would be at work and I would fold my phone and watch the nightly news. Or, while on my forklift, I'd prop up my phone and take a selfie.

Btw the texting videos thing is an issue I had as an iPhone user ~3 years ago. It's part of Apple's trying to lock people into their ecosystem, pushing back against RCS, etc. Literally had Apple Support try lying to me that a glitch where I had the issue with another iPhone user (who would absolutely never switch, all the bubbles are still blue, he still uses iMessage through his iCloud email, etc.) was Secretly An Android User and *I'm* the one lying even though I sent screenshots. Switched since I needed to be able to get photos and videos from my friends with Android more than any iPhone user.

When you're on the lock screen, hold it down like you're going to edit the clock and then when you click the notification section, it will give you the option

Love my flip 6 in the limited edition black colour.The hinge makes a noise when you first open it after a period of time been shut,it must stiffen up.LISTEN and feel it grinde as you open it when its stiffened up after a peiod of no use been closed.

i kinda wanna get a zflip 6, but that stuff about the previous versions turning off when folded after a year or so is making it hard to decide x_x

sorry but I am switching to iphone soon..I hv been an Android user my entire life but since I started using flip , I am done with flips. Flip3 and last was flip 4..but within a year, I took it for repair more than thrice and after warranty now, I hv kept it for kids to play with..its display is very very sensitive.. if it fell in open condition, its gone..you may be lucky in initial few drops but whenever it fells, its hinges break into pieces and damages the entire display..the whole front frame is been replaced in that case. Plus its portable as well as easily slip able. I hv nvr ever droped any phone in my entire life but whenever its in my hand even in open condition, if it hit with somebody elses hand even at a slightest strike, it looses down your grip. I am fed up of repairing it now

About the find my thing on samsung... I just want to say about 3-ish years ago, I lost one of my galaxy buds at a gas station and I was able to locate it despite being a few miles away. I'm just assuming it's just better now.
On a slightly unrelated note my phone is connected on my tablet (s21 ultra and tab s6lite [which are a few years apart] and I accidentally left my phone in the car on like a 90° day and my tablet let me know that it was over heating and it let's me know when my phone battery is almost dead.
I can't compare it to apple because I haven't had apple since before the pandemic but I can say samsung devices are really good at "communicating" with each other

The top half of the flip getting jot is a big con i think...this could cause issues later on and i don't switch phones every 1-2 years so phones have to last at least 4 years without problems...
Another issue is that phones are so expensive nowadays...why do they jave to kost 1.5k??

i switched from a 23U to the flip6 and the only thing i cant stand is battery life. I work at a place where I need my phone on for like my entire shift and it drains soooo much quicker

I'd tell you how to get your notifications to light up on your screen, but I've never had a Z Flip. I've had all the other Samsung phones, just never a Z Flip or Z Fold. I'm scared to try it out.
Question do you use a super fast charger or a fast charger to charge your flip 6? The charge time is much more decent for me with a super fast charger vs a fast charger
