I just notice on my way into town,I noticed a mini but it was a van? figured they must have kids and need the room LOL. I believe I'm hooked big bang for your buck!! 15 K plus for a UTV no thanks! mini my route to go👍👍👍👍
Another great video of the Hijet!!!!! Loving every one. It's so refreshing watching someone actually take the time and fabricate a trailer hitch. Stuff like that seems to be a lost art. Alot of, "Can't buy it, Can't do it..."mentality.
Thanks for the tips. Not looking to pull a horse trailer or 5th-wheel, ideally snowblower trailer, and smoker trailer (Meadow Creek TS250) around the yard. Easier then maneuvering F250 around tight spaces.
My garage and yours look very similar. Empty nest, so wifey says , "ok, I am tired of cleaning this big house", so..... Barndominium with the emphasis on WORKSHOP for me on some acreage is in the works. This HOA crap is for the birds anyways. Bet it's nice ot have 18 acres! She finally understands that I can't can't throw things away, soon as I do I end up needing it. I did have to promise a bigger closet though. I've had the occasional smoking up the house from the garage too, so who knows, you may be working your way into a metal shop, lol!
After working for various Japanese companies for decades, i am imagining the straight face, slight frown, almost indistinguishable shake of the head which would be the result of the manufacturers in viewing your 'modifications'. LOL
So what happens when you get a load in the bed and or on a trailer that you may be hooked up to and the shackles flex back and hit your new homemade, handy dandy 2" receiver hitch, which, by the way is very impressive, I must say, hmm?
@@MotoCheez I'm glad that it worked out. I guess that the camera adds 10 pounds for real, ha, because from the angle of the dangle it sure did look reeeeal close. Best of luck with the "MINI TRUCK"! :)
You installing a winch next? I wish I knew you were installing a hitch. I'd gave you my new non used 5k lbs receiver for free. Doesn't fit my Ford. Anyway I'm hooked on this series.
@Azhaar Laghari well some day it will happen... all your car industry use metric system. It's a lot easy to make calculations. But in Europe we still use "your system" in some work. I install AC units and we still use copper tubes in inches 1/4 " 3/8" 1/2" and 5/8" eaven when they are labelled in mm 😂😂😂😂
not sure if they make one that will fit in this, I was trying to find a dashboard GPS Android that had the speedometer on it but they all look like garbage. But for every 1,000 RPMs I'm doing 10 miles an hour it's almost dead on with GPS
Love your videos, I'm over here in the Phillipines, where they import them an rehab them. but finding parts is a problem, and they are called Maltecabs. so was woundering where you get your parts at? would love to lift mine, its a Suzuki. also it has 13in tires and they rub off road😩
My Dad had a honda N series with the 2 cylinder air cooled motor was a great little car shame he sold it the motor was under the tray direct drive to the rear wheels
How much do you think you can tow with that thing? Since it won't go on the highway I'm sure that will give you some more leeway. Also, It looked tight in there, but you may want to add some diagonal cross members form the 2x2 steel box tube to the frame. If you have too much weight in the trailer and had to slam on the breaks, the horizontal force on that vertical mount could snap like toothpicks.
I have pulled 2,200 lbs behind a Yamaha Rhino. Was pretty sketchy, but it weighs less than your mini-truck. I live in rural Missouri, and it is legal to drive any atv, utv, or golf cart on the roads, so I used to drive the Rhino on the road all the time. I still drive my 250cc Honda Recon atv around all the time, but not the Rhino. It just isn’t great on pavement. Had to replace the rear cv shafts 3 times in 4,000 miles of pavement driving. Actually, the Yamaha isn’t very reliable period. Replaced the stator coil twice, and the water pump 4 times. Still tends to overheat on occasion too!
Nice! I pulled 1500 with my polaeis ranger. On semi flat ground, wasn't bad really. Wish we could ride quads on road here in CT. I hate the rules of these states... Gotta move eventually.
dude i really hope you put some actual bolts in the receiver, not just the self tapers, other then that awsome job simpler design then i would have donw
Our I think is 1990 it has points and when it's set correctly it still is hard to start especially when warm Looking for.electronic ignition for it Your videos.are.great giving me.several.ideas already or if you could point me in the right direction thanks
The welder is an Everlast MTS211SI, my plasma is an older thermodynamics cutmaster 38. I modified a Harbor freight cart. ua-cam.com/video/sbPaHTWR79U/v-deo.html
You should have placed the tube in the centre of the c-channel and welded it all the way around. But you could gusset the tube where the insert goes front and back, nothing too large just to prevent twist when weight is on trailer.

Nice job señor, queso. But, a back up cam’? You can just reach your arm out the window and feel for the hitch, ha, ha!

Extras suggestion : A led light bar on top and a winter camo paintjob : D
Did the light bar!!
I love your sense of humor! Great project. Wish they imported them still to the USA,of they ever did. Atb!

What brand of welding helmet is that you were using its pretty cool
www.ebay.com/itm/152781586486 works great and can be used for TIG
I wouldnt trust that for a second. You need some gussets. Otherwise, not bad
Absolutely. I have to remove it to paint the frame and the hitch... I'll do then for sure

Ours starts hard is there electronic points for the highjet?
