- While the EP3 was a fun car it had a few problems that led me to sell it after a year of ownership. Some of these issues are with the car in general and some are with my specific car. Here is why I sold it.

The rust should only apply to you guys in the salt belt areas. West coast and southern parts of the country don’t deal with this issue 👍🏼
I had an integra GSR that had typical NY rust- fixed all the rust cleaned it up and sold it for 6k and the od clicked 300k the same time the buyer was test driving it. Made 4K on that car. Now, I’m in GA. We ain’t got time for rust here.
The rust alone on the ep3 would be reason enough to sell I think. Still sad to see it gone, your videos helped me decide to get an ep3. My ep has def grown on me 👍🏽

I've been driving my ep3 for 16 winters in Utah. Very little rust to be honest. Must have been in heavily salted areas, and washed very little.
I think maybe the reason why the cruise control didn't work for you is there's a rubber stopper missing, that's on the top switch of the clutch pedal.
Definitely possible. I thought it could of been the throttle body which was replaced. Thank for the information though. Hopefully it can help other owners :)
@@meanpeak1857 because you said you had everything checked out. I was gonna say maybe the clock spring is missing, maybe due to someone switching out the steering wheel , which could break. But yeh, the rubber stopper is often overlooked. Welcome back btw. Hope to see more videos for you.
It’s not a Honda problem, it’s a maintenance problem, you maintain your metal it won’t be rusted
Ive had my ep3 5yrs. Over the years ive stripped bits like taken petrol tank out dropped suspension and arms treated it all ect stainless exhaust declutter bay battery in boot made it easy to work on now but has took time engine has been out new chain uprated flywheel ect. I have hammered this car as its my daily and my toy. Its took a beating its on 154k. Its a project daily car street car. You are always doing things to preserve it 😂 great car but you do have to have that speed freak in you to own a honda as u have to drive thr car and i meen drive them. I also have r1 so best of both worlds civic b16/18 and k20 sound like bikes lol its a true drivers car with sound remove insulation put carpet back in it raises ure senses of the car lol. It Still has all the old school charataristics😂... but realy great drivers car i have had many cars from impreza to citreon ax gt . saxo vts. vtr. 106 rallye 1.3. st185gt4 punto gt. celica vvti 140 . Civic Eg b16 converted. Civic ef . Em2 ek coupe ek9 crx bmw e93 comfy as hell m3. e36 and bikes yzf r125 . cbr 400 rr x2 fzr genisis 600 and r1 to name a few. Thats is wen everything was cheap in my 18yrs driving for some reason 5yrs i kept this car sold it to a friend who tracked it for a year then i bought it back and still taken the abuse. The ep3 is awsome car fun noisey rev happy screaming ect lol jist watch DMO videos lol. preserve and protect closest u will get to a old school motor handling with out the major lift over steer that you get from the ek9 and eg but thats wat makes a honda the suspensiom set-up is key to a good 1. Best thing i can say is a ep3 is forgiven on corners and i run lighweight advans 225 45 tranforms car for the better. Jeez iam done pmsl 😂😂😅

How da fk you got 35,36 mpg. I get maximum of 29 to 30 maybe. Is it cuz of k&n?
I get around 25 with Sri high flow cat and stock style catback 200k
