Hi I also have a 1900, looks like my dip stick may have fallen off or has been lost and its looks like someone has frabacated another dip stick, what I was wondering was, how long is the dip stick and what length are the markings, high - low? Also had hydraulic issues, cleaned filter as you had described and everything works beautifully. Thank you.
I took a wooden wooden dowel and marked where the hydraulic level should be. I use this now to check the level...I'm glad you guys made good use of the video!!!
Did cleaning the strainer cure the problem? I just bought a Ford 1900, and the hydraulics are very slow, with no power. I'm hoping cleaning the strainer will fix the problem.
I appreciate you posting this. I have a 1983 Ford 1900 and changed the hydraulic fluid today. This video helped with the filter location.
Thank you for the video. My hydraulic dip-stick also fell off. Thank you for the heads up on the springs.

@@parishportera Thanks for your reply, what's the measurements on your piece of dowel? High and low marks.
Can you change the screen without pulling the whole cover
Yes...then spray/soak with diesel fuel.
