As long as it comes with sdk support I'll buy it. Talked to DJI rep when the m3 was released and they said it would have sdk support in a year. Bought it, and it never got that support. I'll wait now to see if they are just trying to rip more people off.
Don’t hold your breath. I assume that DJI is largely done offering SDK support for their consumer products. They want you to buy the bigger ticket stuff to get that feature. It’s good business for them…but makes life frustrating and difficult for us.
I really dont want a bigger sensor than a 4/3. I really hope that they increase the optical quality of the lens, because the footage of my Mavic 3 Classic had soft spots all over the frame and extremly blurry edges at f2.8. After 6 replacements, I finally gave up and selled it. I also hope that the quality of the sensor is going to be better, because of the terrible Moire- artifacts, I got when taking photos of trees with fine details.
You know what, you're right. I mean, I wouldn't turn down a larger sensor because it is a net-gain overall, but I agree that the edges of the Mavic 3's footage and photos could tend to get blurry and too soft...great observation. Are you team 4/3 x 1" x 1" then?
@@TheDroneGeekYeah, but only if they can keep the quality of the glass on a high level. 5.4k on the 3x would offer much more flexibility. Another interesting thing would be a ultra wide angle lens. Also they should add something like a intra codec, like xavc s-i from sony. I‘ve often had problems with the bitrate when filming cars. After color grading, there always was a little bit of blotchiness, because of the fast movement. The cine version is way too expensive for most of consumers. For example sony offers cameras with 600mbps xavc s-i for just under 1000$. And they also add the control for sharpness and noise reduction, wich the mavic 3 line is still waiting for. Sometimes the image looks like it was filmed with a phone. Just fly over a city at night and you see terrible fringing arround lights and other objects. I really can‘t understand how Dji has gotten away with such a bad image processing on it‘s highest end consumer drone.
Bringing back the best of what the Mavic 2 Zoom offered. I loved the Zoom for that optical zoom...just wish it had a 1" sensor...I understand why it didn't, but maybe having it in the Air 3S would be awesome!
I’ve been harassing them for 3 years about putting using their old parts bin and giving us at least a X7 style super 35 sensor in a slightly large body, think Matrice 30 but with a X7 super 35 sensor and photo/video centric abilities and codecs.. it would be the perfect price bridge between a Mavic Cine and an Inspire 3 at say, $8999. And they love copying Apple so they can call it a Mavic Ultra. Use that 24 mp sensor for 6k without encroaching on the full frame X9’s 8k, have an board cf express card (they can sell thousands of a propriety DJI CFast card then) , and have great bit rate for video or maybe use Sonys newer 26mp sensor on the Fuji and Sony a6700 for 14 bit photos…
its not upside down, its the correct way up, its just the new layout of the camera, if you see at 2:10, the hassleblad is upside down at the bottom over the single sensor
@@FidgetandSwitch I understand what you mean, but both units are not upside down, the new camera design is probably throwing it when compared to the mavic 3 pro, different gimbal design and layout
Great video. Hopefully it integrates some lidar sensors and is released by the new year.
Definately think one of their main focuses on the 4 would be to take the 3rd tele lens to the next level,im guessing the air3 sensor size.
My finger is on the buy now button.
Price pending...I'm in the same boat.
We just need an 4/3 + 77mm 1" with 10-bit D-Log at less than 900g
Agreed. This would be an absolute monster of a drone!
Exactly
agree
Really not all need Aps-c Sensor
It’s amazing the amount of new products that DJI is releasing. I wish I had DJI goggles because the Neo looks like fun.
As long as it comes with sdk support I'll buy it.

@@NRWverbot449 imagine if they threw a full size sensor in there? hence the heat sync on the back
Excited to see what dji do with the Mavic 4
I think it could have optical zoom, but we shall see...

I love the way you think -- this is a solid idea for the Mavic 4.
my guess is theres a APS-C sensor in there now, hence the side by side comparison leak photo with other full frame cameras..
With your analysis the drone seems more and more like a giant anafi
Let's hope it's slightly better than that...lol
DJI, please add compatibility with RC Pro for Mavic 4
No, doesnt support new ocusync. We are getting RC pro 2
There is electrical tape holding it together.
I've seen worse.
it's a test mule
the trashed mavic 4 looks like a development unit with the paperthin shell and the upside down drone looks like a finished product

Hes right the top drone has its legs folded it a position that its back to back upside down with the middle mavic 3@@FidgetandSwitch
