A HARD Job Made EASY! Stacking Lumber
Вставка
- Опубліковано 25 гру 2019
- I recently purchased a John Deere 5055e tractor and "practicing" operating it by moving around some logs and using it to stack lumber. The uses for the tractor are endless. I've already done more in a day with it than I could do in a week without it. I'm greatly looking forward to using it for my projects. It not only makes things easier and faster, it is fun..it will also make certain projects possible that would borderline be impossible. My lumber is yellow pine, 1x6, rough sawn and green...sawn the day I bought it. I plan on buying a lot more at only $1 per board. I bought this to dry and use as table tops down the road but I would also like to use this lumber as siding and flooring in my future workshop.
More to come, just wanted to get a video put together of the tractor. I'm also using a new computer and editing software so we'll see if there is any improvement...it's a lot faster.
Thank you for watching.

I understand your joy, there are a couple of times when a man realizes he's arrived.
Owning a fine piece of equipment such as your loader equipped tractor is one.
Now I think back to when you've use come-alongs. Now when you get home after dark your older back will appreciate you. Lol
nice to see you got a tractor, good purchase,
When a man shows off his new tractor like his new baby!
I felt the same way about my first table saw after 20 years of various wood-working jobs without one!
Nothing more fun than being outside working with wood and a new tractor!
Thanks for sharing this great video. Your new tractor is a good investment for your family as well as your business. Your safety and longevity are more important than ever. I am very happy for you.
It's plain to see the joy you get from working with wood in all forms . I really enjoy watching you do it.
Sounds like the carburetor on your generator needs to be cleaned/adjusted. Sounds like the idle circuit is lean or plugged, the engine is hunting. Love your videos bud
I would enjoy seeing the details of your financial reasoning behind buying that tractor on your other channel.
Tractor is Love, Tractor is Life.
Got an 18hp Tractor which i built a Front end loader for. You don't know, how much you need one, until you have it! :D
Have fun with it!
The tractor will be of great value to you, your a very strategic thinker. 😃👌👌👌
Nice tractor look forward to seeing the wood dried.
Now that is a useful purchase, not to mention good fun to drive. Enjoy! Happy New Year.
Congratulations on your recent acquisition. It appears that people in your comments section have first hand, heads up experience with a same tractor. Sure will come in handy recreating your grandmother's Log Cabin and keeping the weeds down.
Very cool.. 1 a broad, woo. Cant go wrong with that. I made built in shelves, cabinets. I paid alot more green. Congrats to you and family on your new purchase! It will help all moving heavy materials. 👍
Tractors are fun .my tractor My tractor was made in 1947 and still doing work.
Cool update!
Nice tractor!
Great deal on the pine boards!
Looking forward to seeing the boards put to use!
It's too cute how happy you are about getting a tractor. Happy New Year. Hope you make a dent in your dream wish list.
Congrats, man. A tractor will prove itself a wise investment and you will find so many uses for it, you'll see. I'm shocked to see you doing anything the easy way. Haha
I spent $3200 for a FEL when i bought my tractor and wondered if i made a mistake. 16 years later i found this was the smartest 3200 i ever spent. My back loves it. That rig is going to be a time saver and will assist you to do some things safer. With all the tasks ahead as you described this will pay for itself quicker than you expect. Plus some fun factor thrown in.
If you dry it outside, just trow a tarp over it to protect it from the rain. It will dry faster and nicer that way. Good video again! Thank you for sharing! 👍😁
I’ll be keeping it in a barn
Congratulations!
Nice tractor and I like the way the newer ones hook up to equipment, easy.. Stacking lumber I worked at sawmill in my youth and we WORKED. A good sawyer will keep you running.. LOL
I love watching this stuff
Love seeing you happy, dude. Keep kicking goals!
Cool tractor!! I can only imagine the projects it will be used for. Love the smell of fresh sawn wood. Great video!!
Nice tractor dude. Now you have a great snow plow. If that Jeep in the background won’t start, you can either pull or pick it up and cary it.
Enjoy all your sucess mate, you deserve it, it comes from hard work!

Nice to get on a piece of machinery and the create something from your labor. Especially if the wood is a $1 a board. Take that deal any day. Thanks for sharing
Work doesn't seem like work when you enjoy what you're doing .
When I bought my tractor I said if I had only known how much fun it was I would have bought it years ago. Buy a tractor Save a spine.
Cant count on the county to bush hog that field again, that tractor will come in handy, enjoy. Those pine boards a dollar a board, thats a good price could really use them to finish the barn on the property here.
Dude been subscribed to this channel for a while and had no idea about your other channels until this video..
The decking on your trailer would make a couple a fine tables!
Great idea on getting free wood n milling it yourself. Specially when it's a nice species of tree like the walnut or oak video. Bet you got your money worth out of the mill. N you make furniture too. So 2 great reasons. Carpentry n furniture
I let a 3-1/2 minute commercial for DynaSet hydraulic generators play while I got coffee before watching this video. I hope YT pays you for the full length ad.
Hey we are wondering if you are going to upload another nutcracker making video?
Post a link for your other channel. I'm curious. You're working hard - admirable.
Congrats! I never got a notification for this video, even this notifications are on and that silly bell is rung! Grrrrrrr
May this year bring new happiness, new goals, new achievements and a lot of new inspirations on your life. Wishing you a year fully loaded with happiness. Wishing every day of the new year to be filled with success, happiness and prosperity for you, happy new year.
I thought this was an Andrew Camarata video for a minute
Good. I always worry about your back.
Boys and their toys.
its never WORK, when you love/enjoy what your doing.
My gf says I enjoy woodworking. I told her I enjoy beer and BBQ, but I find woodworking very rewarding. It is a hell of a lot of work, but the end product is worth it.
If your stickers are the same green sawed material you might be running the risk of mold or sticker stain. Normally want your stickers to be fully dry.
O that wagoneer
Wait what? Are you implementing one of my suggestions to use that beautiful wood you have instead of buying plastic laminate?! Lol. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy 2020.
Great video. Have a awesome holiday!
Друже подаруй мінітрактор.
Did you create a nutcracker this year? Would love to see it if you did.
I am looking at buying my 1st. draw knife and wanted to know which one is the best in your opinion. Looking at the OX Head and Stubai but not sure.
I had to buy new security and Camera system for the same reason!!!!
I miss my tractor... glad I moved... but I miss my tractor and my sawmill. Now that you own the tractor the next step is a woodmizer right? Hard to beat $1 per board though.
Timber king 2000 with diesel upgrade
Woodmizer is a Buick. Fancy gadgets. Lots of advertising. The perception of minimal competition in the marketplace. But the Buick has the same basics as both the more practical Chevy (who advertises due to heavy competition and even references their competitors in ads) and the DELUXE Cadillac (who doesn't need to advertise) so what are you actually buying with those Buick bucks? An old name and shiny paint and not much else.
That's why Buick barely escapes the grave between Oldsmobile and Pontiac every year and it's why Woodmizer tries just as desperately to be the first and last sawmill the average Joe ever tries.
never considered plne for tabletops...isnt it too soft?
👍👌😃
Which state do you live in? Congrats on the tractor
Congratulations on the tractor 👍 they are wicked handy 👍
It’s probably not a “congratulations” type thing... you bust your butt!! So, maybe a “good work!” Is better 😃
You look so happy!!! Nothing like a big green tractor to make a person want to work 👍🏻 And your back will thank you every night! ❤️
Exactly!!! 🎄🎅🏻HO HO HO 🎄🎅🏻
What’s the name of the store where you sell your tables and furniture
mmhhh I've just seen this :D
Maybe the most fun you’ve had with your pants on. 😆
I have a tractor just like yours. One thing I found when trying to pick up heavy loads is that the tires (only 6 ply) are really not stiff enough. My future plans are to purchase a heavier tire for the front. Also hope you have fluid filled rear tires.
Filled rear but agreed on the fronts. At the same time you are getting pretty heavy once it becomes a problem. Some counterweight on the rear would help I think.
What is your other channel name about financial talk please
Launch pad
Wait till you have kids doing this for you lol
🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃 How can you be done on Homemade Home?????🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🤓🤓🤓 The House is not a finish Product.🙃🙃🙃
Random question: Any chance you're going to grow back your mane (i.e. your long hair)?
You need an apprentice or offsider to make life just a little easier.
like that pair of off camera hands the tv chef hands dirty bowls to... : )
I like the tractor, I just wish it wasn't John Deere. There's been a lot of controversy with that company and its customers lately. John Deere does not consider its customers as "owners" of its equipment. So much so, that they won't allow the customer to repair their own equipment. They only want "Approved" mechanics to repair them. Multiple law suits are pending against them. I'd prefer it if you had a Kubota, it's not American but they work well and have insanely cheap insurance that covers everything. Plus, you'd own it out right.
I bought it from an old man. If there’s a problem I’ll have my mechanic that also works on tractors take care of it. I don’t get hung up on the news.
@@thehomesteadcraftsman8975 Great outlook.
Isn't that only an issue for warranty work?
@@marshallmurrell4583 I'm not sure, I just remember listening to a report about it on NPR public radio.
You're always like "but im rambling on" but im interested, like no please keep rambling, youre doing work either i wouldnt do or would like to do, maybe instead of music over you doing stuff you could just talk, so you can explain what you're doing and even give out more info.
