I am using the Ap Shave co badger Gelousy knot in euro bulb 26. The gel tips on that knot feel like synthetic and you get great backbone. Love AP shaveco knots. I know your knot a badger guy but this one you might like gel tips are super soft.

Looks like a good Razor !!! It's the best givw away I have seen during the entire shaving Community, I had bad lock I was using the Muhle R41 with Feather blades but it does not work for my face I have to do up to 5 pases to get a near a good shave so went back with my 30 year old BOKER STRAIGHT RAZOR two pases and I'm done my head I use the MUHLE R41 WITH FEATHER BLADES because I use to do it with the Straight Razor too but my hands are a little shaky to do that stunt any more so I will stay with the MUHLE R41 works fair !!! I've been eyeballing the Timeless Slant since watching that video as well. I like aluminum razors and that thing looks really nice!
@@Junior_Meat the idea of a blade neutral and super precise slant seems super cool. The only other option really is the Razorock Superslant L1 but that’s like $130. Also American made does make me want to support them just that much more.

You are helping me restart the wet shaving journey. Transitioning from active duty Air Force to the Air National Guard about 14 years ago, I only shaved about twice a month for a few years. Picked up a cheap Micro Tech TTO, used it off and on for about 11 years. Never could get the angle right, but kept using it cause it was better than cartridge. I have sensitive neck and chin, below my mouth. Decided in December that I would start shopping for a new razor and found your channel while looking for reviews. Picked up a Yates and my shaves are getting better and better every time thanks to your videos, and Iam shaving about 2-3 times a week now because I actually enjoy it, rather than despise it. Keep the great videos coming, you are really helping out us sensitive skin folk with all your tips and gear advice.

Great shave and great looking razor. That .5mm gap on paper seems mild but in execution is quite efficient. I’ve got fairly coarse hair and my mild Henson took down three days worth of growth with ease. I'm going to have to check these out. I need a mild smooth razor. Even my Henson can be too much if I get carried away. Thanks for posting this review.

I think the issue i have with my henson mild is that it's too mild which leaves to over shaving some spots. But I'm going to try the Henson mild with a Kai blade soon which may help! Kai is slightly wider of a blade so it may lead to some slight positive exposure to help it out.
Just out of curiosity, is the handle titanium too? They are kind of vague on their website and it seems like they only offer stainless handles.
Mines a Henson medium. I think my problem is a combination of using an overly sharp blade before I broke the habit of pressing harder to shave closer...the Astra Platinum was brutal. I'll practice for a couple more months and try a really sharp blade again. I used a Bolzano SuperInox the last two shaves and was very happy with it (I was careful to not press hard though.)@@Waabajack

Great shave video! I have a Timeless SS which I think that you once owned (don't quote me on that). Great razor, love using it. Amazing design and efficiency and looks like a jewel. Still looking to try the Accuforge blades. That's next on my list. I keep going back to the efficiency of the Feather's. They seem to work the best for me so far.

#OhioShavesTimelessRazors got my base Timeless aluminum Friday. Once I finish my next shave with the razor I'm currently using, that blade goes into the recycle bin and that'll be the razor I use next.
This shave was a good reminder that when you shave an area that hasn't been shaved in a while that skin needs to be reconditioned to shave. That said, the way that razor/blade cut through that goatee was incredible.

Excellent review. That Timeless company is looking great. Their strive towards accuracy and Made in America as well just sets them to the top of the list. I got to say with that EDM stuff when they start putting EDM parts to EDM parts the mating starts to look like magic. Joints and seams start disappearing. Thanks again for an excellent video. Still don't know how you get that sound to record. Even the wife comments that it is louder on your videos that when I shave IRL.

Being made in the USA is a big deal for me too. Once I decide which style is for me then I'll spend a handsome sum for a good one made right here. No way I would spend a grand, but I'd go up to $350 for a good one. I did like how the Parker semi-slant cut, but it was too aggressive for me so I'm thinking maybe an adjustable slant would be the best of both worlds. Still have but only one brush...the Van Hagen Das boar brush that came with soap, a bowl and stand for $20. I've been enjoying the brush, don't see anything wrong with it however I don't have anything to compare it to. Maybe I'll win one here :) #OhioShavesTimelessRazors #CongratsPaul

I just recently switched from a cartridge to a safety razor a few weeks ago. It was a bit intimidating switching, but I actually enjoy shaving now instead of it feeling more like a chore. I can't even guess how many hours I spent on your channel (and others) watching the reviews and comparisons before ultimately choosing the Twig for my entry into the safety razor world. I still got to get myself an Alum block.

Great review. Very impressive the way mowed through the goatee. You didn't even have any irritation other than when you called an audible and shaved through the goatee without any additional prep or trimming it beforehand. That is an awesome razor!

Seems like you enjoyed this OC far more than the closed comb you had trouble with. The OC less blade feel and forgiving for you?
With that much growth. Spring is here and I tend to shave a lot more and put up a few more videos a week. So I will really have to shave with just a couple days growth. The titanium 95 open come so far is my favorite timeless, razor for the simple fact that I can shave my head with it and my beard with a weeks worth of growth.

Very nice, I currently use the rex Konsul slant; how does this timeless compare to their slant you recently reviewed?
It's better in every aspect. Weighs more better material. Better shave with less strokes.
Freshly new to the safety razor scene. I've been using a Van Der Hogan, and it's been alright. Im military, so I have to shave every day. Cartridge razors always irritated my face, specifically my neck area. I've noticed a huge difference in just a couple of days. I know it's a big no-no to use aerosol shave cream with a saftey razor, but I just wanted to try out the saftey razor scene. Now that i know it helps my face with the irritation and i actually enjoy shaving now, i will be looking into all sorts of products.

Use whatever shaving cream you have on hand. At least you made the leap into using a traditional safety razor. That's huge in my mind. If you have sensitive skin like me, then all these other products will make a huge difference. The razor and blade combination is also huge when trying to acquire a perfect shape. I would suggest going on Amazon and buying a variety pack to see what works best for your skin and hair type
