Im 74 and I have glass skin. I've been using K Beauty products for at least 10 years. There was a shop in Portland called Pretty and Cute that was a Korean Beauty store. I consistently and faithfully use many products, including red light and internal supplements, and take Dr Rajanis advise about so many things. I still have lines in my face, but my skin texture and luminosity looks fabulous.

The effects of diet are really under discussed. I can make my skin look way younger by only doing vegetables and fruits for a few days & hydronated water. Intermittent fasting and 8 hours quality sleep too..all a massive game changer. Our skin is an organ and ages from the inside as well as the outside. High fruit and veg low fat diets result in super hydrated skin. I’m 56 and am getting great results now I’ve addressed the inside!. Much love🤗

Majority of my friends my age or older have achieved it with certain products or skin treatments. Ma'am, I need a magnifying glass to see your texture, or at least my glasses on. You can see my texture from across the room. It is not an ALL thing. It is a DEGREE thing. What do you use that you like? For me I always try new things but nothing gives results like what I DON’T do. (Avoid sugar, do not cut down on sleep time, avoid all processed foods consistently, avoid seed oils and foods fried on high heat, use cleaning products without toxins, same with skin care and perfume. Recently I’m trying to just wash my face with water and remove makeup with coconut oil. My skin looks better the less I do! Moisturizing can be a trap because your skin doesn’t have to produce its own moisture when you apply it. Is the store bought stuff better than what your body produces naturally? I don’t think so.

Personally, I have zero interest in “looking perfect.” I don’t think anyone even knows what that is, and it seems to change from generation to generation. Seeing an AI image of yourself as “perfect” is creepy. I’ll stick with just being imperfect me. I am frequently complimented, and I think it’s just because I have taken care of my skin and body since I was a child (wonderful parents), and I don’t bother with makeup. If I get a pimple, the world can deal with it or not look at me. 😂 Thank you so much for your insight. I love the confirmation of “step by step.”

The shiny, damp, pale attributes of "glass skin" doesn't, at least to me, resemble the look of good health. It is an historical throwback to the pale skin of aristocrats who were too pampered to ever be required to be exposed to the elements.
However unpopular today, the look of healthy skin to me is that lightly sunkissed and flushed look from healthy exercise and reasonable exposure to sunlight.

Niacinamide, cq10, I hate vitamin c, Azalaic acid and moisturiser. Always spf but not every two hours (I used a light natural tinted mineral brand) bc my skin hates being pasted with ss every 2 hours and mineral lasts longer unless sweating, swimming or wiping off.

"Glass skin" looks like skin that's either incredibly oily, layered with a mess of excess product which is not only highly impractical but a waste of money, or skin that's tight with a compromised skin barrier. I'm willing to bet that the last two are the main driving factors behind every single influencer on social media with so called "glass skin", of course with the help of ring lights and filters. Skin that isn't excessively oily or tight and dehydrated with a compromised barrier just ISN'T shiny, it's just not. Dewy when adequately hydrated and moisturized, especially after just exfoliating, yes. Even more so if you use a retinoic acid like tret or taz which definitely helps to give your skin way less texture in a way that's unique to those drugs. But if you're using those drugs correctly and you're not overly sensitive to them to the extent it's broken your skin barrier, then you probably aren't going to end up with the excessive and unnaturally shiny look of so called "glass skin".

I dissolved my filler in March and experienced volume loss in my face so I decided to try PRF EZ gel in May. Since this was right before my wedding, I panicked and made the unfortunate decision to get TWO kits of ez gel done in one session. About 5 months has passed and I believe there is still gel there, or it has continued to make my tissues look puffy/swollen.
