Everything you are saying in your video is the EXACT reason I've developped my own game, because I loved build planning but stopped to enjoy the grind. And doing only PoB for path of exile, without play testing, didn't felt as great. So now I have an interactive pob-like game mixing auto-battler and build making / drafting.
So I can say I completely agree

True, Path of Exile isnt really good at giving you enough info or giving it correctly to be able to plan and design a build. At least POE 2 is making changes there it seems.

I think you're missing the point. He clearly states the different genres but talks about how they are similar in build design.

@@L1vevvir3 there is almost nothing similar except that it is about a character. In this game u have 2h runs maybe in ARPG u grind for weeks or months to make your character look and feel better.

@kubasadek12 I understand your argument but I disagree with you. They are quite similar. Rogulikes are designed for short runs and arpgs are long run grinds, I know, but they are similar in building a character from the ground up. You make decisions on the fly in roguelikes and pre plan decisions for arpgs, with very similar mechanics in what the character can do. This is his whole point in the video. It's 10 minutes, not a long watch, I recommend doing so.
