    Im noticing that when making hard turns there is crunching sounds from my wheels , and if i go over uneven surfaces i feel the wheels wiggling left to right and worsening . Guys at work who fixed my ball joints say theyre sure my track rods looked on their way too . Now recently theyre getting worse . From your vid aswell id say i best change rod ends now

    I own a 2004 Audi A4 Quattro with the 1.8t engine. It has 117500 miles and I just got it the 8th of last month, every time I turn the wheel left of right when I’m stationary or at low speeds it makes kind of a clunk/crunch sound. It pulls to the right when I let my hands off the wheel.

    so was that the inner or outer tie rod that was loose. I am hearing that clunking noise. my mechanic change the outter tie rod and still noise. then I ck my sway bar that was loose and rattling....still noise. struts were bad changed both struts, got rotors turned. changed brakes twice. it seem like the caliber was hitting against the rotor. put the rotor screws back in still now a clunking sound on an uneven rd, but on hwy smooth dont hear it. did the 9/3 & 12/6 shake change the entire bearing with fly wheel. Im screaming rignt about now because i still have a clunking noise. its not clicking, I mean I hear a very minute clicking when I turn left, but that is not my clunking sound. cv joints was changed about 2 yrs ago. so what is left the inner tie rod????? mine you this is all on drivers side I am hearing the noise,

    I just did all new sway bar bushings and end links and struts on my Honda Civic but something still feels loose. When I give it gas on the highway it starts to wander into the next lane. And when accelerating from a stop it feels like the front end rises more than it should. Sort of baffled. Could it be tie rods? Could replacing other warn parts now be exposing the new weakest links? About 100k miles.

    Help!! Lol if my car sits over night or during my work day i get a cluck noise only when backing up slow when first moving the car after it sat. The noise only happens one time i dont hear it again until the next time i move the car after sitting. Any ideas ? Other than that the car drives fine.

    • @shadowman1992
      @shadowman1992 11 місяців тому

      @shanehealy9041 not really but kinda. I have a honda ridgeline and I found lot of others who talked about a similar issue and come to find out the break bads can shift in the calipers and you can hear it. But I have also thought at times my tierods could be going bad the thing is I never hear it unless the car sits and once I do I don't hear it again until a long period of it sitting.

    Clunk noise when going over bumps just replaced the struts and it wasn't that. ????

      Haha have the exact same thing. I have no clue what’s clanking around. My thought is trailing arms. But they seem tight

      Check your lower control arm bushings. Could be your sway bar whacking around after bumps.

    I like that tip about leaving a tire down. One problem I have when checking tie rods is telling if it has play when I’m moving it, so that could help with that. I’ll try it next time. I do have to say, I don’t like how you out your hand under the tire. I see a lot of people do it, but I put a pry bar under it. Rather ruin a bar or tire before I crush my hand.
    All in all, solid video. Simple, yet informative. Keep it up, bud.

      Moving the tire and play are very different play is kind of like a jiggle very different from actually moving the wheel side to side

    • @JakeNaughtFromStateFarm
      @JakeNaughtFromStateFarm 2 роки тому

      @@ayejay2140 I’ve had a little experience now and I have a much better idea. It’s one of those things that’s hard to explain and much easier to show/experience.

    So would that be the outer tie rod end?

    • @conniemcclenny8832
      @conniemcclenny8832 2 роки тому

      Yes, I was trying to figure that out too. Is it was inner or outer tie rod that was bad or how do you tell the difference.
