Holy shit! No one knew what i meant, it felt like very difficult to play and i called it like dark souls...i cant believe it...i was so young i were scared of this game and i played it on a games magazin demo CD. Cant remember close family birthdays but never forgot this thing 🫠
@@Never_heart Yeah, the prequel was actually really good. I really wish Fromsoft would remake Evergrace and Forever Kingdom from the ground up though. But still keep the same music and just enhance the music and add more. I felt like Evergrace was the first original blueprint to a souls like game.
@@TheMixedPlateFrequency Ya I have been thinking the same thing. They could even build on the light metrovania weapon/exploration mechanics Evergrace had but didn't commit too. You can really see the proto-soulslike ideas taking shape in Evergrace. Keep the story, art direction and story but remake everything else, especiallythe multiple softlocks and they would have an amazing game
Bruh, I played this when I was a little shit, it was, idk, interesting... Some enemies did freak me out tho, and it's cool to think that FromSoft made this, being a fan of the Souls franchise (espesially DS2
i was a little kid when i played this too definitely freaked me out when you got to the castle or whatever i hated that place. but seeing that from soft made this almost makes it more of a gem imo
According to the novel, Ruyan and the other "Four Swordsmen of Solta" guys are still around. They were just travelling with Darius right before the events of Evergrace - they seem to be alive after the events, too. In fact, last time I read, Ruyan actually knows Sharline, somehow. But Faeana... I miss her...
I have/had this game on PS2, I never played it though. No idea if I still have it because a few years ago we bagged up old VHS tapes and games we didn't want any more to be sold but the guy in the shop said they buy PS2 games for 50p so I didn't bother with that. I have no idea if I still have the games or they were thrown out.
@@oneinathousand2156 Haven't heard anything about that. Wikipedia lists the composer for Evergrace as Kota Hoshino and the composer for Elden Ring as Yuka Kitamura.

I lost my will to live after hearing this.
This game was an absolute fever dream, but I'm glad to have been there.
Me to this was Dark Souls before Dark Souls

Man i just wonder what an Evergrace remake would be like, now that From Software is at its peak... I hope that someday this will happen.
This is so nostalgic for me. I loved this game so much. I need to find it

Alex Daluge I think it’ll have to resort to me ordering it offline 😂
@@xoxogossipgirlts I still have the copy I got years ago.
I remember playing this game as a child.
Even now, I have absolutely no idea what it was about.
Music was nice though.
Yea the walkthrought is kinda hard here
Even now, we still have mysteries of Evergrace to discover...
Had this game when I was 9 years old. Never got far in it but I loved watching this intro.
Why do people hate on the ost?
It’s an experience like non other. The shop theme is amazing once you get to the 17 second mark.
and the main theme of the game is hauntingly beautiful
The OST is a mixture of medieval Arabic, Incan and medieval European with a sort of mixture of both goofiness and horror
@@samflood5631 yup, thats why i love it

I always wondered what happened to Dariu's other 2 companions who helped him fight in the prequel to Evergrace, Forever Kingdom.

I played this game recently and it's awesome, fuck modern gamers who say shit about this game.
This game was so...odd. Reminded me of a mature anime minus the gore. Like Crown of Escaflowne and Orphen
Funny thing is the Orphen PS2 RPG came out the same day!
@mike46ification dude. same shit happened to me. I recall getting stuck in some labrynth of rooms with nothing to do. bummer
