After reading comments, im soooo glad im not the only one having a hard time with the back ones. Those took me forever. My dad watched me sweat it out trying. He'd show me a trick, id try, and succeed or fail again. But man. Especially under the throttle cables. Gotta retighten those when done. Now hes passed and im alone. Sure hope i can get them.
DON'T just drop the plug in there. You can mess up the gap. Lower it down gently, and turn it left first, until it seats. Then turn right. If you just go and tighten it, you may get it crossthreaded.
Good video, just did this on my 2000 Maxima. Other random tips: start in the front as pictured. Rear/right plugs are the hardest, depending on how the throttle cables and such are routed and the lengths of your socket extensions. 5/8" (equivalent to 17mm) plug socket with rubber insert grips the plugs if you have one. I had to remove a few extra 10mm bolts to get easy access to the last plug, and the book torque value on the plugs is 20 to 29 Nm (14 to 22 ft-lbs).
I have a question about changing the rear spark plugs in this video - Are you sure the three green plugs that you pointed out aren't the fuel injector harnesses. By looking at the front three they look like the rear three injector harnesses instead of the coil pack harnesses. Everyone has told me you have to remove the intake peltium to do a tune up on the back three.
good video up till you dropped in the spark plug in the hole. YOU NEVER DO THAT. EVER. This is not nascar spark plug changing times. TAKE YOUR TIME and be slow.
Dropping the plug is pretty stupid, likely will result in atleast 1 of the 6 plugs having a crack in the insulator or other damage.... Buy a New spark plug socket and the socket will HOLD the plug so you don't need any magnet to remove( if u can't buy one , maybe u have a small piece of rubber hose that can be used to install the plugs) and also u can gently place the new spark plug into the cylinder "after" using a small amount of antiseize on the threads of the plug Only. Steel plug into an aluminium head without some antiseize is just asking for troubles down the road for the next guy changing them. dissimilar metals, electrolysis. They can and do basically weld together and often take the threads out of the head when removing or breaking off in the head. Never seen you check the gap either and when people like to throw plugs around its even more likely they are out. Those 10$ each iridium OE plugs don't require checking the gap but start dropping them and who knows. Too expensive to be careless.
Should have showed how to get to the back plugs, or show what elbow is needed to get the back plugs out. A proper spark plug remover has a rubber gasket so you don't need a magnet unless in an accidental dropped plug.
When my 2002 Maxima starts it runs for a mile or two or when motor heats up then stalls. After 10 mins it starts and drives another mile and stalls out Any answers why? Thanks.
smh why didnt you finish the job with rear thats why most of these nissans have a misfire and have issues because yall dont te tune up waste of peoples times

Wish it was a video of the rear plugs. I can't find one of this specific car. Ugh! Especially plug 5, looks like a beast.
He doesn't know any better yet, he's working in a cashmere sweater he sounds young but atleast he tired it and yall watched his video lol
Cashmere lmao
🤣
this just funny idk if its facts
This video was way better than other one's that I seen its well explained 👏
People won't show a video and the hell they caught doing the back three. It can be done with the right tools but it will be time consuming 😂
Hahaha the drop got me like 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks man, this helps a lot!
Thank you so much!!!! This is so helpful
Very helpful. Thanks for making that.
Excellent Information Thank you for sharing 👊👊👊👊👊
Awesome vid! Thanks😎
Saved me a lot of time 👍
Is the first ignition coil you took out considered the misfire 1 if it messes up?

Cleanest fucking max ever I’m so jealous
since i see you working on this car, what you say is worth buying?
"just throw the spark plug in there?"....lmao went from pre gapped to 0.044 to .30,lol?
Lmfao “just throw the new spark plug in the”
By any chance the wires to the driver side window can you send a picture

3.5 process the same but u need to lift the intake

Transmission speed sensor
You only changed the front 3 spark plugs.... the car is a V6 there are three more spark plugs to change
so is it 1 spark plug per cylinder?
Bitten_By_Frost yes
Nah bro i needa see you take out the back ones that shit damn near impossible
Soo nobody going to show the back 😂😂
The front 3 are easy. The back 3 are a pain in the f*****g a$$, especially if they are damn near welded in the hole. Get a telescope magnet!
Hello aren't you going to check the spark plug gap. And don't just drop the spark plug like that you will mess up the gap.
smh why didnt you finish the job with rear thats why most of these nissans have a misfire and have issues because yall dont te tune up waste of peoples times
👍🐦🐦🐦🔫💣🔫
cant hear you!
I wouldn't recommend this video to anyone.
No gap specs, just throw your sparkplug in there. This is the worst video ever...EVERRRR!!!!
Good video. Don’t drop the spark plug like that 😂😂😂😂. Be gentle
