Keith Richards himself has contradicted that statement, stating that he understands why people would say that but it was definitely a group effort. Dr John and Gram Parsons were even in the formula as well.
As a huge fan of Dr. John as I am, I never heard he played the Stones. Exile is Keith's greatest triumph with the Stones. Gram Parsons was part of it until Keith's girlfreind at the time threw Gram out of Nell Cote where Exile was recored because Gram was taking so many drugs that he was a bad influence on Keith!!! Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
@richardseegman803 if you aren't aware that Dr John contributed some session work, or that Gram Parsons spent night after night informally jamming with the Stones during these recording sessions, influencing them to take a "rootsier" approach, that's your loss.
Don't be a jerk. Of course I know of the friendship of Gram Parsons and Keith Richards and Gram's infuence on the Stones country songs. I never heard that Dr. John (a great hero of mine) worked with the Stones. I was trying to tell you thanks for informing me of that.
Pretty sure it was an earlier pressing, not sure if it was exactly 1972 when bought, but almost all of the records I'm posting were bought around the time they were released. They were in storage like 30-40 years until recently I pulled them out.
@@bingload I had at least 1,000 mint records from the late 60's all the way till the mind 90's & many are extremely had to get rarities like It's A Beautiful Day' but my house burnt down with them all in it & what the fire didn't destroy was wrecked by the firebrigade!~
@@jasondalton-earls9972 Nooooo! such a shame I am sorry bro. You could have had a channel just like this I would be watching yours too. Good music lives on tho!
@@jasondalton-earls9972 Sorry to hear that. I also lost my approx. 200 LPs from the 60s/70s. I even had a Sex Pistols EP which doesn't appear in SP's discography. Funny how much I identify with someone who lost their record collection. ✌ And I also remember getting my LP recommendations from Hit Parader and Creem :)
@@bingload,I saw vinyl record 1972 ok? Then remastered, mix 2000 something & i found it bit strange. There are LPS in UA-cam, not remastered but original rec! Very few but existing. ❤

The best album by anybody ever. The absolute pinnacle of Rock 'n' Roll FOREVER. P.S this is Keith RIchards' record.

Hey when you say "1972 vinyl" are you saying its an earlier pressing/first pressing and not one of the newer remeasters? Just want to be clear 🤓
