I was fortunate enough to be at this show. Detroit wasn't even on the scheduled on the 78 tour and the Stones basically showed up at the last minute. 3 other friends and I snuck in the back, ran up some stairs, down a few halls, through a door and there we were. I remember it like it was yesterday. Seen them every year since 75. They never disappoint!!!
Me and a friend also snuck in the back door via the fire esacape. Sat on the steps of the balcony and watched the whole show. One of my best memories from the 70s. Tickets were being scalped for as much as $250!
Can you imagine having such a vast catalog that you don't play songs like Gimme Shelter, Sympathy for the Devil, Paint it Black, Satisfaction-----only the Stones.
@@user-pp9rr7ze4h I don't think so...I've always thought they were at the peak of their powers at exactly this point...and up to '81.
