See me here. The strength it took for our people to be here now is what's to be passed on not what was done with it then, for now is the difference. We've survived, and it's now for those who carry any or all of the teachings to flourish, for the good times. One Love 💗
I thank God I lived in this Era to hear all of these great songs because they sure do not exist today. Thank you Rev Al. The 60’s 70’s and 80’s were the Good Times! ❤
One of my favorite artist! Out of all of Al Green's music and songs this has got to be my top favorite. Touches my heart ! Brings back so many great memories 😢
He is the man! My father raised his children on some beautiful music, and of course Al Green was one of the best to include Marvin Gay, Bobby Womack. Clarence Carter ext…
My mother passed when i was a teen, im about to turn 68 next month. In my family as a teen i loved Al Green music. I would buy all of his albums and my mother became a fan of Al Green music too. She would always ask to play my Al Green records. And when i brought that Al Green Living For You album, she fell in love with that one song on it called, For The Good Times. That's the only song on that record she would play over and over again. You know, because of that one song on that album, i never got that particular Al Green album back from her, like i did all the others. I brought me another one in that era, but have since upgraded my collection of all my old Al Green songs to this era of downloading music or watching my favorites sing, dance and perform live from back in the days on UA-cam To me, Al Green's old songs are his best and most cherished that i still enjoy listening .. 👍 👌 💛
I lived in Memphis, and I was fortunate to meet Al Green. He is a gentle soul and such a humble person. His music is so pure. Forever in my heart! Best Wishes ❤
My mom had been playing her oldies way before I was born. Her & my dad. He passed in 2018 1 month after my bday. She passed away in 2020 2 1/2 weeks after my bday & I have all her cassettes. Thankful for all the good times
I remember riding in the car with my daddy a few years ago when this song came on. He told me when he was stationed in Germany during Vietnam this song came out and they would play this for their partners leaving going wherever the wind blew them across the globe. For the good times Daddy😢 I love you always! 1951-2023

This is a Kris Kristofferson song! Al killed it, but let’s not forget the songwriting is top notch as well.
Al Green's music appeals to all audiences. His work will never go out of style.
For the Good Times"" life goes on and this world keeps on turning" let's be still glad we got this time together""
That's my favorite song, my late husband would sing it to me and it always makes me happy to hear it now.

See me here. The strength it took for our people to be here now is what's to be passed on not what was done with it then, for now is the difference. We've survived, and it's now for those who carry any or all of the teachings to flourish, for the good times. One Love 💗
My wife passed away Noember 14 2024, stage 4 cancer. My life for hers, anytime but didn't happen like I wanted too. I love you forever babe!

I thank God I lived in this Era to hear all of these great songs because they sure do not exist today. Thank you Rev Al. The 60’s 70’s and 80’s were the Good Times! ❤
His style never gets old I still sing his songs to my wife after 20 plus years with tears
And we ain't going nowhere
I’m here. These songs are such a treasure!
One of my favorite artist! Out of all of Al Green's music and songs this has got to be my top favorite. Touches my heart ! Brings back so many great memories 😢
Baby I'll be here😢
He is the man!
I brought me another one in that era, but have since upgraded my collection of all my old Al Green songs to this era of downloading music or watching my favorites sing, dance and perform live from back in the days on UA-cam
To me, Al Green's old songs are his best and most cherished that i still enjoy listening .. 👍 👌 💛
1965-1985 was the greatest music ever created.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉
Amen!
What a beauty...❤ Kris 😢
Agree 💯 %
Sorry, but you don't get to start at 1965. The 50's decade surpasses any 10-year period since.
And what from the 70s and 80s comes close to comparing?
I lived in Memphis, and I was fortunate to meet Al Green. He is a gentle soul and such a humble person. His music is so pure. Forever in my heart! Best Wishes ❤
I wrote my funeral plans. There going to play this song when I die. My kids and family. God bless you who reads this..
Just said that to myself exactly me and you are connected 5900
Beautiful......
Your welcome sorry your loss 😢
This was played at My uncles, ex wife’s funeral
That's a good thing that they will know what u want I told my children the same thing
Thank you Mr. Green, for your music. Our world should play your music on a loudspeaker so everyone could calm down, and get back to loving each other.
Yesssssss
Remembering my dearly departed father and listening to the Al Green LPs playing on a Sunday afternoon.
Still enjoying this music in 2023!! ❤ These classics never get old, I wished they still made music like this.
I agree with you so much!! What they call music today has no Soul, no heart. I'm sure glad we still listen to it on the Internet and maybe CD.
