The whole series of The Magic School Bus (which has not aged well) warrants being available on DVD, but this show doesn't? Hogwash! This was a fantastic, timeless show and PBS should hang their heads in shame for taking it out of circulation. Wake up and put Square One TV on DVD NOW! I'll buy a copy. In fact, I'll buy a copy for my co-worker too.
Good question! This is a song from the math show "Square One TV" that aired in the U.S. in the late 80's and early 90's. I don't know if the songs on the show were written by people from the show or by the guest artist but whoever it was that wrote it did a good job.
It is a shame it's not available on DVD. I'd certainly get it. Regretfully, I don't have either one of those videos you mentioned. "Change your point of view" was actually my most sought after video and was the whole point of me waiting with the VCR ready to record everytime it looked like a music video was about to come on. I was never able to get it on tape so hopefully someone out there can upload it.
For whatever reason I always remembered this song being a bit more melancholy, with the first chorus coming right as she's booted off the elevator. But apparently my memory wasn't perfect.
LMAO okay I actually remember this song and I remember the next day in class myself and a couple of kids in our class who saw this same episode were singing this song all day through recess and lunch. LOL this and "nine nine nine, that fancy number nine" tune were the few songs I remember from this show lol.
I don't know but that "no regret" song with the doll playing the harmonica is pretty cool. Maybe someone who is familiar with Japanese culture can shed some light on how big she was and what became of her. I think it's safe to say that she didn't exactly cross over.
I feel like they made a mistake in that weight estimate, the kind that would usually be called out as a mistake in these sketches. The singer uses her own weight of 100 pounds as an average and comes to 6x100 = 600 as an estimate, but she’s clearly the smallest person there, so that can’t be the average. And in the Casablanca sketch, they stressed the importance of rounding up when you’re facing a weight limit, and I grant that 600 is a round number, but her estimate has no consideration for margin of error. Since the weight of the smallest person is known, I would’ve estimated the biggest person’s weight, then taken the average of biggest & smallest and multiplied THAT by 6.
World renown actor/director David Stay portrays the basketball player (not the referee) in the elevator. He's starting his own youtube channel and it's going to be very, very interesting stuff. He has a lot of experience working in film and tv, every where from New York to Hollywood, United States to Japan, and there's a big chance he will be telling some stories of the darker side of the industry, stories that people in power will not want to become public knowledge. Keep an eye out for "Stayt of Mind with David Stay" in the near future, and prepare to have your perception of the entertainment world turned onto its side. David is a realist, and a realist living and working in the world's fakest city only brings about trouble. Who will be on the receiving end of the trouble? That's for you to decide once he starts his channel.
That is Reimy in Japanese that I copied off another upload on youtube. I had no idea she was a real artist until I did a search here and found other stuff from her.
Hi,tiradorfranco2! Have you seen them? PiCaratDiamond's uploarded latest Reimy's Promotion Videos. Reimy's singing "Tower of Vanity" in English. Another 6 videos, she's singing in Japanese. My favorites are "DAKISHIMETAI","Two of Us" and "Tower of Vanity. She is very "Kawaii"! These videos are uploarded from Japan. I think, they will be going to be removed here soon. Don't miss them! Bye.
Hilarious Song! Who wrote this? Trevor Veitch? Reimy's performed song "Speed of Light" in the Movie "Arthur 2 On The Rocks".This song has been written by Deborah Gibson, produced by Trevor Veitch in 1988. I'm very happy to know Reimy had come on TV and meet her new song. Thank you!
@playmates101 Thank you. But I could not find it. I also could not understand Japanese characters. How can I find that video? Thank you very much for your help.
All those men who tell the one poor lady to get off, how unmannered and impolite. Ladies First! The basketball referee should get off and demonstrate being a good sport at all times, even off court. But, of course, for the video she has to get off to sing the song.

I just love this song!! It's a bit of a favorite song right behind the Mathematics of Love and Angle Dance!!
Mathematics of love ❤️ is definitely my favorite!!!
Oh my! I remember this from fourth grade, and 18 years later I STILL hum the tune whenever I'm estimating anything!
Wowie! I last saw this when I was seven years old, and now, 15 years later, I still remember this song like it was yesterday!
I remember this song after all these years.
These Square One tunes are getting to be catchy.
I remember this! 🤣 My childhood was the best.
2021 and still bumping this!
It's amazing how much stuff my brain retains from my childhood.
Whoaaaa, I remember this song! I had such a huge crush on her too lol.
HAHA. Same here! I was 5 and was so in love with this chic.
Legit AWESOME song! Not just for a kids' TV show!

There is a link on the "related videos list". It's called "Reimy Seishun No Regret". Very 80's sounding.

Thanks for the info! It is great to learn more about Reimy.
I find this to bear an uncanny resemblance to Chisato Moritaka's 1989 hit "The Stress".
I think she also has a 1989 song entitled "Never Gonna Let You Go." I hope somebody will put a video of that song.
I got this song in my head

I remember this song sounding a lot cooler, but then again last time I heard this I was 10. lol

700 pounds for a stadium court elevator??
Yeah that's smart.
When was that built in?
1950?
Wow these guys have no manners asking a lady to get off the elevator haha
Yeah definitely rude...
I'd one of those guys off instead or get off myself...
what is she doing now
CPA?
A remake of this song with Katy Perry; Britney Spears; Mandy Moore or Selena Gomez sounds terrific. Maybe the Glee cast should also do it.
Poor Arthur. I bet in real life he wears a leather jacket and rides a Harley.
yeah...so do I >>>>
i thought i was the only freak :)
@playmates101 Thank you. But I could not find it. I also could not understand Japanese characters. How can I find that video? Thank you very much for your help.
Please tell me you have the one with Kid n' Play!

@playmates101 Do you think you can send the video to me? Thanks a million.
What does the Asian character keyword you used mean?
