    when noggin was a children's channel,they aired this in re-runs until 2003.

      Early 90s was still very "80s" by 2017 standards. It wasn't until the mid 90s that things got less corny. Plus PBS ran these reruns for the next two decades.

      PBS only reran the original show through 1994 or '95, though there was limited-run "Math Talk" spinoff intended for classrooms a few years later, and reruns of the original show popped up on Noggin in the late '90s/early 2000s.
      But yes, you're right that the early '90s (especially 1990-91) were culturally very much an extension of the late '80s. Of course, I prefer the earlier Square One "That's Inifinity" song, which was "corny" even by '80s standards, as it had more of a classic Broadway sensibility.
