I started playing in the same way as you. Saw one of the people I follow on Twitch streaming it and was like "Nah, I'll pass" then got bored like 5 days later and decided to check it out on a whim. I can't stop playing now. I've played 10+ mmos and it's been a while since I've played one where I feel like I always have something to do. There are so many ways to progress your char.
hint its difficulty, most other games you solo kill everything through the leveling experience basically never dying or struggling unless you dont equip the free gear you get this game actually requires help with some areas
This game completely took me by surprise. Only played a for an hour my first day. Put in a couple the second. Played for like 5 hours yesterday and im starting to understand the game and what it really has to offer and im feeling the hooks dig in. I plan on playing this game as a slow burn casually between the lulls of arpg leagues and work. Props to the system mechanics designs and a lack of pay to win. This game honestly makes me want to give tibia a shot at some point.
This game looks great! I gotta try it out sometime. I use to play archeage and loved the way how classes worked in that game and this reminds me of UO and with trade packs from archeage I can see me lovin' it.
AoC is only the 2nd wave of alpha as well. Intrepid does try to make that as clear as possible. Release for AoC is not publicly revealed yet. This looks like a good 2D mmo!
just the animations for mage keep playing and having them facing target, while things like warrior slices only turn you around for an instant so every class gets it, just looks different with some abilities @@2inverse469
i downloaded it thinking it would be really fun and i liked the look of it, this game is absolute garbage. pvp game with no one to pvp, if you want to fight someone you have to intentionally target and camp someone and it's just constant unfinished system rips from other games. unoriginal, imbalanced, horrible questing, crafting is stronger than actually playing and even the movement isn't coded properly, if someone moves diagonally they can be caught by moving in straight lines? i don't see the appeal of it at all anymore played for 2 days out of cope can't stand it. game literally has as many holes as new world
this is literally everyones thoughts when they play their first mmorpgmaker clones until they realize games like this release and die every month on steam leafling online nightmare online to name 2
im subbing just because he has the balls to call MMO of the year in January

It lends a lot of credibility when the guy telling me about an MMO looks like he plays MMOs.
Thank you, fren.
This game has the secret sauce most games are lacking. It's kind of hard to put into words.
Yeah it does. It's crazy good.
For me, it's the gameplay loop that's very solid. All the systems tie into each other well so I'm constantly running around doing stuff.

It's called "single mob difficulty"

Played Tibia for years, most underrated MMO ever

This actually looks sick. I’m in😊
What I like about this game is if there is a PvP area, a simple cave turns into a coliseum.

Hey how were you walking backwards during combat? that seems pretty useful. I just started but havent figured that out yet.
Just WASD in the opposite direction. You can't use channeled abilities while moving, but anything instant cast will work.
@@Gospelgg I'm not sure what you mean. If I WASD I just face and go that direction. Is it specifically a mage thing?

@@2inverse469I see archers doing it, too. I just have the red circle on my opponent and walk the opposite way.
I also enjoyed every MSDos isometric game
Nice find, used your referral link as a thank you.
Im hooked on this 2d Archeage too 😂
Thanks for the vid! I'm happy cuz I think the same way
Dude, game looks rad... Pepejam
Loved this review… it actually felt honest and unpaid unlike alot of stuff out there
I can confirm. I was honest and made no money off this video.

I understand your sentiment but I actually think you're wrong about this one.
Nah this game got legs, haven't had this much fun in an MMO in a while. Obviously it isn't perfect but it has so much potential still
i really really hope i am@@15kalas15
Monsters don't drop items , weapons etc not for me I want reward for killing some hard boss
yes this is a big sore spot of the game. whats an MMO WITHOUT GOOD LOOT
It's designed to have a completely player driven economy. A good sandbox will be player driven wherever possible
Best game ever
