I still cannot get over the fact that he's a grumpy advisor in not only the Ruined King game, but also the Ruination book. I just got it recently cuz they're retelling (maybe building on? Idk?) the story in Wild Rift and I didn't want to be spoiled on Kalista's story beats, so I got quite surprised to see Necrit's pseudonym there

If it doesn't, the whole genre is most likely dead. It's been on life support of years. If you look through the top 20 mmos, almost all of them are at least a decade old.

I really, REALLY hope they don’t make the main story of the MMO about Viego/The Ruination
With the writing in Ruination, hearing the author is working on the MMO actually makes me excited. He did a fantastic job on the book and really made me connect with characters I never had much interest in (Viego and Hecarim), which is feat in itself! His world building skills are fantastic!
Absolutely, the book managed to create in me a deep seated hatred towards hecarim as a character as well as make Thresh that much more creepy

id love to see the mmo become some sort of " shifting battle feild" with commanders
like darius will show up during the battle line of noxus and demacia, andd you chose a side to kill, aand the effect to world based on it, aatrox can just be a straight world event
The pve event in Wild rift is underappreciated and is a good introduction to familiarize yourself with Kalista, who she is, what she does in the game and how to play as her. I hope they do the same with other champs.
im currently working my way through the ruination novel and i really really wanna be able to see like a tv show or something about it but, i'm not going to play wild rift just to see the pve mode...
When they said that they were doing a reset that doesn't mean they threw every single asset and model in the bin, they also said that they made that decision "some time ago", some people speculate this could have happened in early 2023, which is almost 1 year and a half ago. I also think that the reset had to do more with gameplay, as ghostcrawler wanted a combat system like WoW and since he left they're working more on an action combat system.
The talk about short stories reminded me to read the new wow shortstory thanks!

I seriously think Riot's new "everything is canon" approach to the lore is one of the big reasons they had to restart
I don t know how to say this, but after freezing the lore and having no plan what so ever on how to really bring it up to the people (not to mention that the story should also move forward) I m curious to see how many people will last until they are "ready" to deliver something about the mmo...I m 23 and I can t say that I love this universe that much to keep me thrilled for 10 more years:))))) just like I lost the hope for Winds of Winter to be released any time soon

i know you said about going as back to sylas, but remember the ascension gamemode they used to release azir? they really tried to tie in gameplay with lore back in the day
I was really hoping for a video breaking down the Arcane season 2 poster and even in June
I have thought for a long time that a super cool and engaging way of telling stories would be to make mini audiobooks. Maybe 5-20 minutes depending on story complexity. It would be cheaper than cinematics, keeps people from reading and would add a huge layer of depth if done with good voice actors, music and sound design. All things that Riot always does great with! (Except for Wild Rift cinematics)
It would be unique too!
This does put a smile on my face, even though I don't know if I'll still be alive when the MMO launches.

I never thought about it but yeah, it's crazy that we never got any real official announcement about the MMO being developed, maybe they were waiting to have _something_ to present but still, is pretty funny
I enjoy listening to a lot of mixed types of music, latley that involves few of the KD/A songs. And iv realized that Evelynn is singing about love, sounds like its about her having to fallen inlove with somebody. Atleast that what i get when i listen to the lyrics. That and she's singing a rap song. So the song basicly say she's mad inlove with somebody or something i mean its Evelynn so you never know.

I played the ruination event read the book played the ruined king game and I would say they should start thinking about the next bad Im kinda burnt out already on this one
I only play wild rift. I started with arcane, then wild rift. I've always preferred handheld gaming and really have no interest in playing league on the PC. Plus, I've seen some of the old designs the PC version still has for some of my favorites and don't have any interest in that.
I've since gotten into watching pro regionals and now MSI. Wish wild rift worlds had not been cancelled
I don't get it why people think the game is dead when the CEO himself said it "we will do it but a different way", I know Riot will release a banger MMO i'm just feeling it :)

My favorite part about Wild Rift having lore is that at the same time they are currently hosting a gacha event for like 5 time-locked skins. $100 each, yet no one is talking about that. If I thought the CCP was funding the Riot MMO I'd be half tempted to buy one.

tbh i just dont like this arena as much as the old one, you are even more in the hands of rng gods and old arena at least kept me coming to play cuz i like to get more rank points for fun.

- No ranking, nothing to play for
- No itemizing because you can only pick what RNG rolls give you, every item has 3 paragraphs of information and every player has a thousand hidden stats.
- New map with the bouncy leaf in the middle is a snooze fest 90% of the time and otherwise it’s a 2v2 or 2x 1v1 on a map 1/3 the size of a real map 👏
